Which cage did this one break free from? I know you don't own a car but for every windshield that is broken by an Okada rider in Lagos , I pray someone will smash a Hennessy bottle on your head. Olori buruku
ROTFLMAO!!! guy, u killed it...Hennessy bottle ke! abeg no woun-jure me wt laff ds early mo-mo o! ![]() |
bigass: If your windscreen is broken. Will you still go to work? That's their aim and it will be achieved by attacking many so many pple won't make it to work.Guy, ...now seriously u need to STFU n sit ur "bigass" down in a corner! u r really sounding like an a/s/s, u knw? if u hav a death wish, u go join ur stupid goons to claim okada group and start vandalizing vehicles. maybe it will even do us some good as society to rid off a dumb head from our midst. Now u see y i keep sayn that Aluu tragedy is a reflection of general failure of psyche power of most Nigerians? I'm sure if i run through ur posts, i will probably see u criticizing d Aluu villagers whereas you r not better yourself. Now you really need to shut up and go away wt ur stupid, baseless and senseless rumor. |
none of you supporting criminal acts against society should come here lamenting when these okada people end up in the morgue. police will defend society against criminal acts and they will do so with resolve.
+ 10000 @ OP i dont knw how true ur rumour is o, but i dare them to try it and dt spells d end of okada commercial business in Nigeria with immediate effect after police has killed, maimed and arrested many of the goat-brained anarchists. |
Siena: No need to get abusive. Homerac7 is very correct in his analysis. Just because one hasn't built an automobile does not mean one's less qualified to comment. At least, Homerac7 was civil, which is more than I can say about your outburst.Thank you very much for your matured response to a foolish tirade by another unteachable undergraduate. I guess you aren't an engineer, but I would rather work with handful of your kind of person and be assured of a successful task than work with million of the other guy type because failure is inevitable with such idiotoc reasoning capability. I don't mean to sink low to his depth, I'm only being practical as a professional in my trade of training. Leadn: You're a disgrace to Mech Engineers which I would soon become by God's grace...Oh you jester! I don't really know how to start to address your folly because it bewilders the most incredible mind. First, you seem to have failed from start in a beautiful career of engineering by what you displayed in that short burst of gross stu]pidity. Why, ..you may ask. These are it... (i) One of the earliest things you are taught in any school of engineering is to shut up and listen when your professional seniors are talking, you might ask your questions later. (ii) When you feel different about an opinion with a senior professional colleague, ask him his reason for his opinion, then you will learn a lesson. (iii) For you to see terrible craftsmanship and not discern it is sign of either inexperience or stupidity. but i guess in your case, both is the case. (iv) You obviously know next to nothing about principles of engineering design, yet you open your mouth to speak in a matter that is superior to your knowledge. Its a glaring symptom of foolishness. (v) Now I think you are either a dumb engineering student or just a cheap lier otherwise how come you don' know what "invention" means? (v) I need not present my CV to you, but it will suffice to say that if you and I are to be in same school as at today, I will be one of the lecturers you worship and beg God to be gifted as. NEVER, ...and NEVER EVER you bring your foolishness my way again on this forum especially when Engineering is being discussed. I will definitely not entertain your unfortunate ignorance as I have done today with benefit of professional fraternity tolerance, I don't tolerate iidiots. Be wise |
i have no qualms with anybody having fun with his fabrications, it is proper and to be encouraged. Because in it is the very soul of creativity, enterprise and character for advancement. Now, what i see in that pix is best described as an amateur craft making and nothing more. Any attempt to elevate or accord it any seriousness beyond such is ridiculous to the beautiful art of engineering itself and our sense of value as a people and nation. I am an Engineer; a mechanical engineer for the fact. If you think that is an invention, I tell you that you either know not the meaning of invention or just plain confused. For anybody to describe that as an aircraft is so absurd because it failed all the principles of aerodynamics expected of an aerial vehicle. ditto a marine/water craft. Nigeria technological development doesn't require us inventing the wheel at all (not to mention a terrible wheel). Japanese and American examples cited are weak and incorrect. I expect you to refer to South Korea, Indian or Brazilian technological examples and show me where they had to go way back to constructing ridiculous contraption in name of "invention" or technological development. Technology has gone much much ahead, if and when we are ready to take the dive, we have to go far downstream and not crudely backward. |
The unfortunate incident incurred the wrath of the villagers who took the law into their hands by smashing cars and other vehicles in sight.^^^ This is why I have always stuck to my claim that Aluu is just a random location in Nigeria, and Boko Haram is just a craze from one of the potent galdiators. Given the right opportunities, most Nigerians are capable of doing worse than we have seen and read so far. Cry me a river. |
d price is unreasonable. 32 inches LED go for 55 - 57k , so how come second hand ordinary LCD go come b 47k? i no spoil market for u o, just trying to bring u to reality. wishn u luck |
Lol. Espionge indeed. Why wld a bird on "recce" wear a tag? Even humint don't wear name tags or carry means of possible identification when on classified missions. Olodo people |
austinsmat: is ur type of idea and extremely low thinking keeps Nigeria in bondage pls let better man occupied the position with a positive mind pls once again try and grow up Cunninlingus: religion is your opium gboso: U bokoharam (BH) shut up.u ppl can neva change.3 frothing idiots who dont know wht dey r talking about |
austinsmat: must everything be religion in ur eyes pls try and grow up for betterment of this nation there were sack because of there unseriousness and replace them next to themu r d one dt needs to grow up my dunce friend. I see issues logically and not a bigot. u need to show me if my observation is not tied with the original story before u giv in to another fit of rush of word to the head. are u blind? cant u see the obvious dt the two indited and sacked officers r muslim northerners and their immediate replacements r christian southerners? while it might be purely a happenstance, but in polarized Nigeria of today, it seems pregnant with meanings. Until one know d extent of their indictment, one can only stick wt d apparent picture and i owe u no apology for seeing it d way it is. if u still think i am wrong then present a counter logic, otherwise shut up and learn. |
Wow! Ds is serious, sack 2 senior muslim northern officers and replace them wt senior christian southern officers aftermath of church bombing. That's screaming! Looks like some guys hv been indicted for being religiously involved in administration priorities, otherwise I can't think of any other thing d DHQ action could suggest. |
@ Horus, WTF!!! Nna, u wicked o! |
Seems only Agagu & OBJ benefited from the power being referred here. Putting up a defence isnt the only thing expected. Credible defense is all we need. Since he couldnt he should have kept mute. Some ppl are bent on falsifying facts. And this posture casts shadow on their integrity. All the things taunted as achievement by OBJ 8 years administration have been surpassed within 3 years of GEJs sojourn. Fertilizer is now available to grass root farmers. Airport facilities are steadily improving. Our Ports are becoming more functional. Election rigging which he perfected is now being sanitized Rail system is being revived. Petroleum sector (which he pocketed ) is now in the public domain. The ills are known now & will, hopefully, be tackled. Commissioning of uncompleted projects is no longer in Vogue. Its only in Nigeria that Agangus will come out, without shame, to defend a roguish regime. Recall that OBJ commissioned Enugu International Airport. We all know better now
GEJ butt-licker, abeg carry ur lies waka go front joor! u no see as u spread lies full d short text wey u write, yet at same time calling other people liars? Nna, i bow for u o, abi ur name na LIEnus? Who started d rail revival wt CCECC? Is d madness in petroleum sector better dn it was 10yrs ago? (see Ribadu's Report on dt). Do u mean dt fraud Stella Oduah is brazenly committing in daylight yet delivering very shoddy works? I am sure u haven used d "new facility" in Lagos terminal. Did I hear u say OBJ commissioned "Enugu International Airport" ? |

Maxymilliano: Inasmuch as I agreed with some of the salient points you made, governance should be about continuity and not Who start a project or who completed it. Obasanjo might have committed some errors in his assessment of the chosen location for the power plants but it behoves the subsequent occupants of the office to revisit the initial master plan, make any adjustment if need be. You also need to put into cognizance that critical decisions like the four power plants and its multiplier effects across the landscape cannot be based solely on OBJ's whim.11,...11 sir and not 4. do u knw dt Egbema plant was delayed because there was no access to the site across River Imo? yea, ...FG had to make a budget under Ministry of Works years after to construct a bigger bridge dt can support d movement of turbines across the river to d NIPP site. similar challenges faced almost all, but u can normally make excuses that there will always be unforseen circumstances in every project management. but when u look into d kind of challenges faced in NIPP, u would want to think differently because certain pattern is observed. IMO, d power improvement could hav been better and easily achieved at far lower cost by simply by expansion of the existing PPs. |
hisson3: my guy, you are actually the daft one, google is your friend why don't you search out the true worth of the gifts given to baby jesus in present day monetary terms & tell us if it is correct or not, typical nigerian who won't take time to logically analyse an issue but jump to conclusions.bros, u will do d whole wide world a favour by showing where n how baby Jesus got $200m from. stop being sentimental and unreasonable with ur "i better pass my neighbour" christianity. if u hav d proof just bring it out here and let us see how ur "scholars" came to say Jesus had $200m, otherwise just shut up for good. |

passion007: how does your assumption compare against Jesus' own words: 'foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head'. Jesus was not the rich kid you are trying to portray.Thank u sir for helping to knock some common sense into that fella's skull. I don't agree that Christians necessarily must be poor or mediocre in affairs of life, but that's not excuse to give in to avarice and pervert the scriptures to suit out vanities. More damning is the "brainless" trend of trying to sound smart by trying to justify obviously weak positions by making reference to some only-God-knows research or proof which they probably heard from another marauder. This is a simple matter of morality. Even your consciences prickle you, yet you seek long philosophical theories to console yourselves. But the moral blemish still stares u in the face. |
^ stop sounding like a robot. u hav a brain and a mind, pls use them. u refused to answer simple question i put to u, rather u went ahead to make another spurious and self serving claim. i am a christian also, but i havent found a place in d scripture that encourages me to me a gullible i.diot. it annoys me more when people come around to try justify acts that have obvious moral failings by twisting and turning d words of scripture. now again, can u show proof of research dt says Jesus recieved $200m from the visiting Zoroaster Masters who are more or less academicians (star gazers/ astrologers/ mathemathecians/ philosophers/ environmentalists/ ) monks? |
^ Really? ...and he remained a local Nazarene carpenter? ...and d "rich" kid could be hidden from Herod's men? Hmmm... the way you guys go all way to defend a matter of obvious moral failing is obscene. simple test; the Maggis are wise men from East were Zoroaster masters, looking at culture of Zoroastrianism, does in blend with ur $200m gift story? Pls just do a little esearch wt d key words i gav u and revert properly. Bu pls don't concoct daftly because there r other people on look out for ur response. |
Nonnyz: Don't say what you don't know. Agreed. Obj started and awarded most of the power plants under NIPP and funded by proceeds from excess crude account.my friend, stop hyperventilating. i never said OBJ completed it by 90%, I only said OBJ is singly responsible by over 90%. your very own explanation simply corroborated that. Such huge projects have multi year span, so even despite most of it being conceived, paid-for and started under OBJ, only minor fraction of it was completed when OBJ left office. Yar'Adua's intrusion halted d project which automatically shattered its delivery dates and raised costs. Govt has to make extra payments to offset these excess costs and new modifications alongside extended project dates. So I dont see how GEJ became a hero in all these. It's either he releases the extra fund and approve the modifications, or lose the value of already paid $16bn. Simple! |
Nonnyz: The worst part of it all is that Obasanjo wasted over 100 billion to build some of these power plants and yet it wasn't working till GEJ came on board and completed them.stop drooling. GEJ is almost a far minion on d roll call of d giants dt delivered NIPP. OBJ is over 90% responsible. they r multiyear projects wc he almost fully paid for before his exit - dt explains d mysterious $16bn. others just couldnt stop it since it was almost fully paid for. so GEJ has little or nothn to do abt it. PHIPEX: Ever since I started following OBJ's power plant project, one question that has remained unanswered to me has been why about 60% or more of the projects were located in SW. What comparative advantage does SW have over SS or even SE in production of Gas which is the major raw material for the project? When I eventually had the opportunity to pass through one of the projects in Ogun State I couldn't help but weep for my country because I saw abondoned pipeline all over the road. But am still not surprised because OBJ has proved in popular saying in Economics right which is that "political expediency overrives economic rationality", that is why a country like Nigeria will continue to waste all her resources without meaningful outcome. And if I may ask where was the much celebrated Due Process Office and the Federal Character war-Lords when these projects were being cited?my brother, i had to do some work for NSE on ds wc went to NA some years back, d issue Ngige raised was one of d strong observations. like u said, u hav physically seen some of d mis-locations wc r so seddening all in name of politics. do u even knw dt only few of dos stations were really supposed to b built to achieve or even surpass same capacity at d cost? yes, Egbin, Sapele and PH all had provisond for capacity expansion wc were never done. had dt bn done, it would hv been far cheaper and quicker to execute. rather we went on to litter d whole geo-political zones wt projects wc hav no feed stock supply and product evacuation facilities. do u knw dt Geregu was commissioned without an existing feedstock pipeline? yea, most of them were cited far away from existing main grids wc makes them unable to deliver to d grid. so many technical faults wt d project due to political tinkerings. |
maclatunji: You people don't get it! GEJ is using proxies to clear legal landmines towards his 2015 ambition. These court cases are meant to ensure that no opponent takes him to court in 2014/15 when he declares his intention to run because the issues would already have been adjudicated upon. The man is obsessed with staying in power; even if he gets a 2nd term, he will still want a 3rd term- whether he performs or not is immaterial to he and his cronies.magana ya kare. kpakam! |
From: Mr. Seyi Olu Awofeso <awofeso@mwebafrica.com>; To: <nigeria360@yahoogroups.com>; 'Afis Idera' <odidere2001@yahoo.com>; Subject: Wale Babalakin Charged to Court by EFCC for Money-Laundering Sent: Wed, Nov 21, 2012 12:05:45 PM Wale Babalakin Charged to Court by EFCC for the Money-Laundering of James Ibori’s Loot He allegedly helped James Ibori siphon the money from Delta State There seems to be no end in sight to the troubles of the Chief Executive Officer of Bi-Courtney, Wale Babalakin, as he has been charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for money laundering of about N2 billion. Sources in the commission told PREMIUM TIMES that the charges were filed Wednesday morning at a Lagos Court in Ikeja. The Federal Government on Monday announced the cancellation of its contract agreement with Bi-Courtney on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The multi-billion dollar contract would have seen the company re-construct the road and then manage it for several years. The company would have made its profit by tolling and taxing users of the road, Nigeria’s busiest inter-state road. The Federal Government said the company had failed to maintain or reconstruct the road. Also on Tuesday, the Ondo State Government announced its readiness to cancel a N4.8 billion road contract in Akure awarded to another company, Homan Engineering Limited, believed to be owned by Mr. Babalakin. The State’s Commissioner for Works, Gboye Adegbenro, said three years after the contract was issued and adequate payment made, the company was yet to reach 30 per cent of construction. The two construction scandals are however different from the money laundering charge. The Babalakin-Ibori money laundering According to sources at the commission, the new charge against Mr. Babalakin is related to his involvement with James Ibori, the former Governor of Delta State who is in jail in the UK for money laundering. Mr. Babalakin is believed to have used one of his many companies to launder the N2 billion for the former governor. The deal, investigators said was hatched under the guise of building a stadium in Asaba, Delta State during Ibori’s tenure as governor (1999-2007). Most of the materials to be used for the construction were allegedly subcontracted to a company owned by Mr. Ibori. Money for the stadium, N2 billion, was released, but stadium was never built, investigators said. “Babalakin just helped Ibori siphon the money from the state,” an EFCC investigator said. PREMIUM TIMES learnt that officials of the London Metropolitan Police, who are still working with the EFCC on Ibori’s complex web of corruption, visited Nigeria about three times over this new case involving Mr. Babalakin. Wale Bablakin’s integrity This new charge by the EFCC questions the integrity of Mr. Babalakin, a man whose companies have been involved in one controversial deal or the other. The charge is a culmination of the commission’s months of investigating Mr. Babalakin’s link with Mr. Ibori. The businessman was in February arrested and detained for one night by the commission during its investigations. Born four months before Nigeria gained her independence in 1960, the businessman is currently the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Borno State. As Pro-Chancellor, he is the chairman of the Governing Council of the institution. The PhD holder from the University of Cambridge was called to the Nigerian bar in 1982 One of his companies, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd, is currently managing the MMA2 Lagos Airport terminal as part of a public private partnership with the Federal Government. The EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, could not be reached for confirmation as he did not return calls, while the spokesperson to Mr. Babalakin’s Bi-Courtney, Dipo Kehinde, said he was driving and could not talk on phone. . |

shymexx: Didn't the guy resign because he was involved in some malpractices? - and is he the only qualified person for a ministerial post in a country of more than 150 million people? So much for Nigerian intelligentsia and academics smh...^^^ ds is how morons talk during winter. babaolofin: The power situation has not changed since he left. While there are areas with improved power after his departure some areas have degradation of service. This does not have any implication on his resignation as the full deregulation has not commenced. The bidding process has not been fully implemented. The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)wrote a letter of appreciation to government for the improvement that was recorded in the power supply to corporate organizations. This happened after his departure. This does not have anything to do with Miniter's resignation.oga sir, u r wrong! while i cant prove that his exit led to d decay or not, it is clear enough for even d blind to see that everything went down after he left. on d LCCI issue, were u expecting dt dey were talking of power improvement just a week b4 u saw dem on tv? maybe u don't live in Nigeria even. @Gen Orumov, i guess u got those ur mis-information while serving jail term in solitary confinement in outland of Siberia, so d sub-zero ambient further affected ur info processing abilities. Now get d right info, Bath Nnaji didnt introduce MYTO. rather MYTO is part of power sector deregulation process according to an act of NA passed in 2005 under president OBJ. secondly, you can accuse him of tinkering of d pricing breakdown (which is neither strange nor wrong in business administration), but u fail to admit dt he never kept d money for himself and unit price of electricity in Naija is still one of d cheapest in the world upon dt. I have never met Barth Nnaji nor had anything to do with him. But if u want to malign a man next time, make sure u r armed with cold hard facts and informed evidences. It is not good to accuse people by peddling gossips and fake rumours about. @ topic, i vote "YES"!!! |
^^^ thank u Gerald (hope I am allowed to address you by your first name), for your long write up. For most part of it, it was a synthesis from sound knowledge of economics. But ur theory developed credibility issues the moment conspiracy theories became its final destination. Are there global conspiracies? I will be awed if there is/are none. But tossing another one up is what it is - a conspiracy theory. No one is ever sure. By the way, no concorde plane was involved on 9/11. Again, good synthesis there. |
for d first time ever, I am on same page with Callotti. it sounds like s good advice u might say, but what's Kagame's obsession with Nigeria? just google "Paul Kagame in Nigeria" in any permutation and see different dates. again, what does kagame want with Nigeria? ...cheap popularity? |
most of posters here have never had a dealing with any FG agency on technical matters otherwise you will know that scamming those guys is next to impossible unless those guys are in collusion with you. do you really really really think that everybody in civil service is truely a dumbo? dont worry, when time you have dealings with them arrive, just go to them with such mindset and see yourself disgraced. @ topic, ...no b news again, dat's d way things run here. in as much as one cant believe the allegation totally, d way one sees expensive pieces of equipment lying around and wasting away in govt warehouses and premises is appalling. |
the Nigerian roads i knw dt can b on ds category are; i. Milliken hill in Enugu (i enjoy d arenaline rush everytime i pass dt dangerous road) ii. Ogotun-Ilawe road in Ekiti state |
i guess most of dos "flooded" cars will soon find their ways down to naija as Tokunbo. lolzzz |
