That Coup Plotter Again! Akpabio should not give them a single chance to execute their plot to cut short hos Presidency in the name of transparency o! It doesnpt take these people a full session to yank him off the coveted seat. Consider what happened to Obasa in Lagos. At first they tried to pin it on Tinubu, but as soon as he voiced it out how disappointed he was that he was not even carried along, the enemies have turned to claim democracy now. They are relying on the numbers and not the legalities. They failed to reckon with balance of power sharing, which the Old fox is now using to fight back! If Akpabio should make the mistake of step aside to allow for transparent investigation, he can as well kiss that exalted office goodbye. This is one of the foibles of Nigerian Academics. He needs to tell us his findings in practical terms, compared to his theoretical knowledge - that's how new theoretical knowledge emerges! My suspicion is that his theoretical position should be up to 95% correct, while the testimonies would also be correct to a large extent. The Man ain't ready to marry a quality wife, period! Women from that side of our nation are quality, productive, homely and loyal, if you open your eyes. Also, in my experience, there are no hard and fast rules about marriage list - they are highly negotiable. this particular list is even user friendly to the extent that some of the sections are monetised (meaning negotiable). It would certainly be worse if not monetised because of the inflationary price of items in the market today. The Police had better investigate this story properly! My detective mind tells me a different story - maybe a hit and run being covered by Dog Mauling! Maybe the dogs are being framed up. From the video, I see blood already caked and turned black. Questions: 1. When did the mauling start and finish? 2. Was the Guard all by himself and couldn't scream for help? (a Man is very different from a chicken, for those who may not know!) 3. Was any of the Dogs hurt or at least scratched in any way ?- the guard may not be a Samson that could tear up a lion, but men don't like dying without a fight, no matter what! 4. Are Guards in such high brow areas untrained and un-kitted (no Kondo Olopa, no taser, no whistle)? 5. Is it that easy for dogs to maul; a full grown adult with no handicap to death on the spot - no attempt to rescue him? Make Police check that story well-well o! Nigerians are so so gullible! I REALLY FEAR FOR NIGERIA BECAUSE OF THE POVERTY MENTALITY OF THE NEW GENERATION! So far on this thread, every single person has commented about how small the package is! In my growing days, I learnt never to look a gift horse in the nose! Everyone is thinking if the beans can fill a cooking pot? Of course yes, but not the way you think. Add a bit of foresight, time, diligence and the grace of God, and in Seven months from now, it can feed a full grown adult for months! Our soils are fertile nationwide! I know some people will still wonder where they can find land to grow the beans (we are very quick to complain but slow to find solutions). To my mind, the CP has been used to unearth the problem with Nigeria - thoughtless consumerism! Nigerians will go to exchange naira for Forex and in spite of the prohibitive decline in the value of the naira, nobody thinks to hold on to their naira, rather they will rush to even buy more in the hope the decline will continue, so they can take advantage! How is government to blame? We expect government to keep flooding the black market with dollars so we can keep importing everything that catches our fancy? Why not earn your own dollar? I have seen a lot of different lists of demand by supposed prospective Hunger Protesters - none includes that government must force PayPal to include Nigeria in the list of countries that can receive Dollar remittances freely! This single move will drastically reduce unemployment, redress the scarcity of dollars and enable international trade for the youths. But I guess the prospective protesters are not really the skilled youths that i know, who have IT and other sought-after international skills to offer remotely! Borrowing against future crude production; ways and means far beyond the authorized limits; overloaded Foreign and domestic debts; delays in Salary payments; Emefailuriasis; etcetera, etcetera, etceterum! On the contrary, the Present Government fired the silver bullet from day 1 and removed both fuel subsidy and floated the exchange rate in one fell swoop. Although I personally believe it was an error to move too soon as well as combine the two recipes together - it is the reason for our economic constipation we are battling with today. Is NASS Budget made up of only Salaries of Lawmakers? Another issue is why compare even the salary of Lawmakers to that of Entry Level Civil Servants? Many people erroneously think that minimum wage is maximum wage. It will shock them that the consequential adjustments up the Civil Service Cadre will make the Salaries of DGs and Perm Secs overtake that of the President or Senators, if granted as Labour wants, then the Law makers will simply make a Law for the Adjustment of their own packages in line with the new minimum Wage structure. It is a simply protocol called 'indexing'

Dhoneymix:I'm a Christian, but I must say the Government did not really subsidize Hajj - it's just that their communication apparatus is just too dumb to carry Nigerians along. The fact is that Hajj fee is dollar based and was fixed and many intending Pilgrims have already paid or been sponsored by their respective State Governments before the FX crashed badly. The repercussion is that the amount already paid by prospective pilgrims became inadequate due to the new naira equivalent of the Hajj fee dollar FX. At that point, the FG and state governments controlling pilgrims became obliged to make up the differential, as asking the pilgrims to pay more will result in serious political and religious backlash (two very critical issues in our jurisdiction). One might blame the Government for getting involved with pilgrimage in the first place, but these people are actually ambassadors of the country in a way and government ought to have a sort of control over their behaviour out there. More so as the President is looking forward to securing Foreign Direct Investment from the Arabs. The biggest threat to the Nigerian Judiciary is PETER OBI and his Ilk, who never sees anything good in anything that does not favour them directly. Imagine someone who benefitted from the Judiciary to become Governor and rigged his way into second term now calling the judiciary names! I am really surprised he is now absolving INEC, which he made all his followers and a chunk of the entire world believe was manned by a league of a thousand AI Demons (who all conspired to write synchronized fake results nationwide within 36 hours of the 2023 presidential elections)! I guess he has been told how ridiculous it is to continue denigrating INEC, who is being hired by our neighbouring countries to help them conduct and structure their electoral systems and continually receiving accolades for jobs well done! OBIdense is the bitterest electoral contestant I have ever known! He continues to constitute a clear and present danger to the Nigerian democratic structures by spreading propaganda that is making gullible Nigerians distrust and lose hope in the system. 10 Likes 2 Shares |
