Dis Guy:I just tire oo, i think this goes to show that some people actually do not have a feasible plan for their future. |
Cold weather Lack of enough able bodied men to put the heat in them lead to them failing woefully The coach even said some of the players complained that their legs have frozen even inside their various boots ![]() |
buzugee:I just believe some of this people who always dream of only making it overseas are the weak and lazy ones, no offense but tell me, if you can gather 12,000 pounds to travel, why not use that same effort to start up something with that same amount? ![]() 12k = TWO MILLION, SEVEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY THOUSAND NAIRA. Without closing my eyes, i can count how many businesses you can invest that money into and are likely to give you nothing less than 100k-200k monthly. ![]() |
Dis Guy:I didn't know until he got there, that's when i heard from another friend of mine, he later apologized for not telling me, 2 months later (obviously after spending most of the extra money he went with), he's regretting and complaining bitterly, he said NO JOB lol, went through the normal "school" runs, one yeye professional school like this. Some people can't even think properly, i don't think he actually knew/knows what 12,000 pounds can do in Nigeria. ![]() |
^^^ Gerrin lol |
I have a friend who just lèft for the UK, he saved up close to £12,000 for the trip, he's 2 months old in UK now and he's already complaining of lack of job, i felt like breaking his head, do you know what biz he could have done with £12k? Even 1/3 of that money is enough to earn a good living. |
^^^ Maybe his official children? |
^^^^ Explain in details otherwise. |
^^^^ Thanks for the answers to my 2 questions, you can keep the rest to yourself lol. |
These girls should have been given 2 men of their choice to "treat" the weather issue before the match, see wetin cold dey cause. |

tkb417:you sure do not know what you are saying, my question is simple Was he banned from football in Nigeria/Africa? Just a simple yes or no is enough One more thing, was he ever arrested for any financial matter and found guilty? Just a simple yes or no is enough too. |
^^^^^ Have they cheated presently? ![]() |
emyworld:Then this is what i call football sabotage, deliberately getting sent off just to "play" the system, if this is allowed to go, he's likely to continue doing same anywhere he goes. Not surprised, he's used to using people (mostly negatively) to earn whatever "respect" he has now. Not a thing to worry about though, its what UEFA should worry about.
Being a big attention seeker means nothing once your task ''job'' is being conducted perfectly . . . . .Or u re just one of them
Not everyone is like you bro, you picked the wrong person, look well next time, i don't jump about on all the threads on NL. |
Junk tactic from a junkie of a coach, why not just give them a rest in match day 6 instead trying sot stir up another controversy just to make people talk about you? Mourinho is a big attention seeker. |
eyoniggar:Maybe they needed a rest? |
Kano pillars is not going to be dropping any point come Saturday! |

NPL youth tourney in the offing In a bid to development youth football in the 20 clubs taking part in this season’s top-flight, the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) is planning to organise a championship for the youth teams of Premier League sides across the country. Spokesman for the Premier League, Emeka Nwani, told SuperSport.com that the move is to ensure that the feeder teams of the 20 clubs are also actively involved in playing the game rather than taking the back seat. According to Nwani, the competition will take a zonal format since the NPL has taken into cognizance the fact that a league system will be too demanding on the clubs. “The Nigeria Premier League will soon organise a competition for the feeder teams of the 20 clubs taking part in this season’s Premier League. Remember that the NPL told all the clubs before the start of this season to ensure that they set up their feeder teams with the age limit of players not more than 17 years. “So in order to make sure that these feeder teams or youth teams as you will like to call them are not just there for the sake of being backups for the senior teams, the NPL has decided to start a competition for them very soon. The competition will be in a zonal format. This format we believe will be good for the clubs for the time being,” he said. The champions of the six zones are expected to converge at a venue to feature in a playoff that will determine the winner of the youth cup. The NPL media man also took time to warn clubs of the grave consequence of fielding players that are older than the stipulated 17 years during the proposed competition. “The NPL will not condone a situation where clubs field players that are older than 17 years. Once we discover that, I can assure you that appropriate sanctions will be meted out to such a club or clubs,” he told SuperSport.com. © SuperSport.com

Why NPL can’t attract fans to stadia – Marawa One of SuperSport’s top presenters, Robert Marawa, has taken a look at the reason behind the lack of football fans during matches of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL). In the 1970s and 1980s, the Nigerian league was not short of big names that included the likes of Segun Odegbami, late Haruna Ilerika, late Muda Lawal, late Best Ogedegbe, Christian Chukwu, Adokiye Amiesimaka, Felix Owolabi and Stephen Keshi among others. Though there is conscientious efforts to shore up publicity players in the NPL lately, Marawa believes that Nigeria’s problem in that area zeroes in on the inability to create many stars on the local front compared to those abroad. In an online interactive session conducted on SuperSport.com on Wednesday, the presenter of SuperDiski, Extra Time and Thursday Night, explained that the top-flight in Nigeria lacks top stars that can lure fans to the various venues of the league games. But Marawa, who some regard as controversial for his unbiased style of reporting and analysis as it concerns South African football, said it is not all gloom for the Nigerian elite division as it has improved in recent times. “The Nigerian PL has improved a lot but is not able to create too many local superstars that can attract the fans to the stadia on a regular basis as many Nigerian players do well plying their trade in Europe,” said Marawa. © SuperSport.com

No plans to sack Nduka – Plateau Utd Premier League newcomers, Plateau United, have said they are not considering terminating the contract of their head coach, Ndubuisi Nduka, just three weeks into the new season. Plateau United through a statement from their club’s spokesman, Monday Goteng, dispelled rumours that they are planning to sack Nduka following an unimpressive start to the season. “The attention of the management of Plateau United FC of Jos has been drawn to rumours going the rounds about the sack of the club's Technical Adviser, Nduka Ndubuisi. “The management wishes to state that there is no iota of truth in the rumours circulating around. There has never been a time when the management contemplated sacking Ndubuisi,” the statement read. Plateau United have also given their support to Nduka to continue in his position without pressure in spite of losing their first two home ties this season by a similar scoreline of 0 – 1 to Dolphin Football Club and Sunshine Stars. “Also, the management wishes to categorically state that despite losing two home matches, the capabilities of the technical adviser (Nduka) have never been in doubt. “The technical adviser had proved his mettle when he handled other teams in the past in the Nigeria Premier League. Ndubuisi was able to secure a vital away draw for Plateau United against Ocean Boys in the second week of the league,” said Plateau United. The club is also confident that they will not be relegated at the end of the season since they are not the basement side in the Premier League log. “The league is only three weeks old and it is not justifiable to conclude that Plateau United will be relegated or Dolphin will emerge the champions. “Moreover, Plateau is not occupying the last spot in the 20-team league. For the avoidance of doubt each team in the NPL has a media officer who can furnish all Nigerians with information on each team. The rumour peddlers have tactically by-passed our information unit to purposely mislead the public,” stated the Jos-based side. © SuperSport.com |

Heartland are a strong side - Cooreman Head coach of Kaduna United, Maurice Cooreman, appears to have deflected the hype away from his team’s unbeaten run ahead of their clash this weekend against Heartland. Cooreman has cooked up a good line by branding their Owerri-based opponents as one of the strongest sides in the Premier League. The 67-year-old gaffer of Kaduna United explained that his side are working hard for the trip to Owerri that would see his team face Heartland on Sunday in a Week 4 game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. Cooreman, who has handled Bendel Insurance, Ocean Boys, Lobi Stars, Gabros International, NPA (now Warri Wolves) and Enyimba in the past, also has an eye on edging the Naze Millionaires for all points in spite of rating them highly. “Heartland is one of the strongest football teams we have in this country. We are training hard in making sure that we not only play well when we visit them this weekend, but we want to come back home with the maximum points,” Cooreman said. The trip of the Belgian coach’s side has also been boosted with the return of Sani Aruwa to training after sitting out two games due to a thigh injury. Kaduna United go into this weekend’s tie occupying seventh place with five points from three games and are currently two points behind leaders, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC). © SuperSport.com

Former champions on the brink of extinction 2008/2009 Nigeria Premier League (NPL) champions, Bayelsa United are on the brink of going moribund unless sweeping changes are made in the fold. The club, in dire financial straits may not take part in the Professional League (Nigeria’s second tier competition) which gets underway on Saturday. Former media officer of the club, Ebi Avi told SuperSport.com that the former champions are currently passing through their worst phase as a professional outfit. “This is about the worst period for this club. Players are owed almost two years sign on fees. And nothing is been done,” Avi told Super Sport.com. Avi also noted that unless swift moves were made by the club’s sponsors, the club could be in for some very difficult times in the days ahead. “If we are not careful, this club will no longer be in existence. The situation does not look so bad but with nothing been done so far and the Pro League’s kickoff just days away, we may have heard the last of Bayelsa United,” he said. Until recently, Bayelsa United were the champions of the Nigeria attracting the best names in the land. The club represented Nigeria in the 2010 Caf confederations’ Cup where it reached the semi finals as well as the 2010 Caf Champions’ League where they were knocked out in the preliminary round. © SuperSport.com

Gombe explain remarkable start to season Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Gombe United, have revealed to SuperSport.com the reasons behind their impressive start to the 2010/2011 season. Coordinator of the team, Mallam Farouk Yarma, explained that the club’s resolve to retain more than 90 per cent of their playing staff from the previous season is one of the main reasons behind their unbeaten run in three games in this campaign. The Scorpions are currently in second position on the NPL log with seven points behind leaders, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), also on same number of points after three rounds of matches. “Many people I know are surprised that we have started very well. But I am not surprised with our performance so far because we have kept at least more than 95 per cent of our players that played with us from last season,” said Yarma. The Gombe United official also said the appointment of coach Bernard Ogbe before the start of the season has paid off. He revealed to SuperSport.com that Ogbe has wormed his way into the hearts of everyone at the club – from the playing personnel to the backroom staff. “I must also say that the coach, Bernard Ogbe, has done a great job since he came to the club this season. He has a fantastic relationship with the players, the other coaches and the management of the club. And that is another reason we have done so well so far this season,” he said. Yarma added that the team’s financier, the Gombe State government, has played its role in motivating the team. Gombe United will travel to Port Harcourt to face former champions, Dolphin Football Club, on Saturday. © SuperSport.com
