duduspace:Yes i follow most of them and no not all are strong, it seems you aren't getting the message, what i am trying to convey is the fact that the citizens of these countries stick to their own league irrespective of the situation, as "poor" as the Kenyan league is, the crowd they see at match venues outclass ours, yet we call ourselves football giant of Africa, what is Giant about us if our own people are ready to sacrifice the progress of our league for foreign leagues? Please try to get the message, we need to build our own league by watching it, discussing it, giving it attention just like we give to other foreign leagues, if we don't do that, no one is going to do it for us, if i ask most of you how many clubs play in the NPL (names), i am likely to get 5% answers from this section (without you guys googling or trying to search the web). |
^^^^^ Please make sure you update this thread as soon as the match starts, we need match update. |
Cappadona123:I wish you luck or beating ![]() @fbs needed to know the source, got source from AIT sport news. |

Ojo = Amodu Musa = Eguavoen? ![]() But Musa didn't end up having Ojo's job, rather he was made to be the usual housekeeper. ![]() |

semid4lyfe:To each his own but these people are ready to come badmouth the league as soon as any negative news is reported, the leagues they are supporting do not care a pin about them, do you know how many fans of these clubs have died? yet they are nothing but "nonexistence" to these clubs because they don't even know them . |

I just saw on TV that 2 of the 3 policemen caught fighting got fired!!! Now, let's do the guessing, which 2 of the 3 got fired? ![]() |
Man, i took time to visit the foreign league section, couldn't believe my eyes with all the match day threads springing up, even for clubs like wolves, cat, sunderland and co, i can't but weep at the way we have totally neglected our own, but we are quick to insult them. Something good is going on in our league, yet none of them is ready to come support it. I am freaking angry ![]() |
^^^^ Something is going all wrong tonight ![]() |
mortal combat!!! ![]() |
This article is partially wrong, it's actually going to be in ABUJA and not Lagos and it's to be completed within 8 years. |
When 90% of football related match threads on various Nigerian and African forums would be of the NPL (NIGERIAN PREMIER LEAGUE) instead of foreign leagues When 80% of the news making front page on football on various Nigerian and African forums would be of the NPL instead of foreign leagues When people queue up at viewing centers all over Nigeria and beyond to pay double fee just to watch our Nigerian league live and on TV instead of foreign league When Nigerians and others would be happy discussing Nigerian league/Player instead of foreign players Can't wait when Nigerians would stop hating themselves, insulting themselves by not scrambling all over themselves just to watch foreign leagues. If the Spaniards were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a strong league like what they have now. If the Scott were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a relatively good league like what they have now. If the Dutch were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a strong league like what they have now. If the English were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a strong league like what they have now. If the CONGOLESE were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a better organised league like what they have now. If the KENYANS were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a small but purposeful league like what they have now. If the Germans were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a strong league like what they have now. If the Italians were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a strong league like what they have now. If the EGYPTIANS were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a highly spirited league like what they have now. If the TUNISIANS were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a standard league like what they have now. If the ZAMBIANS were like Nigerians, there wouldn't have been a league like what they have now. If the SOUTH AFRICANS were like Nigerians, they wouldn't have been a luxurious league like what they have now. Before anyone respects you, you MUST first RESPECT yourself. The Spaniards respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see and reap the never ending rewards The SOUTH AFRICANS respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see with excitement the rewards The KENYANS respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see the results in their own time. The Germans respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see the excellent results. The TUNISIANS respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see the results The ZAMBIANS respected themselves by sticking to their own through thick and thin, now they can all see the results Even the Ghanians still respect theirs unlike the Nigerians where they hardly see anything good in themselves, even when few are trying to make progress, they shoot themselves down by comparing them with established leagues without putting into consideration that these leagues were once like theirs. I weep for this WASTED generation, a generation that hates themselves more than their "enemies", a generation that cannot do anything right individually, but ready to shoot down the few that decides to try, a WASTED generation who likes to reap where they did not sow, THEY LOVE THE ORGANIZED LEAGUES, THE FINE STADIUMS AND THE COOL AND EXCITING ATMOSPHERE, BUT THEY ARE NOT READY TO WORK, PARTICIPATE, CORRECT, FIGHT to make theirs look like their counterparts. LAZY, LOUSY, WIDE MOUTHS, NAGGING, PESSIMISTIC BUNCH OF PEOPLE!!! wake up from your slumbers, pick up the diggers, shovels, headpan, roll up your sleeves, get to work, makes yours what's worth celebrating, stop waiting for an angel to fall from the sky, NO ANGEL FIXED ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED LEAGUES, they did it themselves, the earlier Nigerians realize this, the better their own indigenous produces get. |

Pastor AIO:What makes you think anything black represent evil or the devil? how are you sure the devil is black? what if the devil is even whiter than snow? ![]() |

Dis Guy:if you check the sports board, you should see the thread i created with the pix i was able to get on Samuel ogbemudia stadium, lemme help you https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-541096.0.html Well we don't know yet, but before the end of this month, a sponsor should be unveiled Yes, voting is going to be a nationwide thing. Yes, i saw people like Godwin EkhaKhena on sport splash, the channels man and few others on the inspection team, so maybe these are the people they meant. |

This week's schedule.

Dis Guy:Don't worry, INSURANCE OF BENIN IS SURELY COMING BACK TO THE NPL NEXT SEASON, with that sweet stadium and a sport loving Governor, what else can i ask for? ![]() Well it's only supersports that's doing the media coverage and they can't do it alone, until NTAs and the some of the private media companies who are fond of deafening us with foreign leagues come back to their senses, charity begins at home, before you go out to bring in a bride, you should first put your home in order. your league is struggling, yet you go out to replace your league with other foreign leagues, can't these people be ashamed of themselves? showing foreign leagues when a game is going on in your own country is a BIG sign of UN-PATRIOTISM and lack of RESPECT to the things in your country. NTA should up their facilities, watching the few matches they show (NPL matches) make me wanna poke, but when it comes to the EPL, it's all in HD, can't they do same for the Nigerian league? oh i forgot, no money there, but was NTA suppose to be looking for money? aren't they a public company?Yes, the monthly award is going to be accumulated until the end of the season, then everything'll be handed out at once, i think that's what the article says. |
@medjai please help me dress the article well, make the club names bold so that it will be easier to read, hope you understand bros ![]()

@cap Crown is another relegation candidate hehehehe, but i like your spirit hehehehe |
Ovularia:So if a girl drives a jeep, she's automatically an ashawo? as long as she's the one right here, she should make sure that she fights this to finish, first it was the other girl harassed by the air force guys, second was the beating of the priest by Ohakim's men, now it's a well known actress, she should make sure that speaker and his boys get a dose of their medicine by milking them to the teeth. ![]() |
NPL Monthly Awards to start December Posted: 2010-11-12 06:47 Starting from December, the Nigeria Premier League will hand out monthly awards to top performers in the domestic game. Last week, the NPL set up a Media/Awards Committee, and early this week, named 12 players and one coach in it's Team of the Week. The league organizing body says honours will be handed out to the Player of the Month, Goalkeeper of the Month, Coach of the Month and Referee of the Month. There will also be awards to media for coverage of the league, for Newspaper Reporter of the Month, Radio/TV Reporter of the Month, and Photographer of the Month. The recognitions will culminate in a prestigious Awards Gala ceremony at the end of the season. NPL Chairman Davidson Owumi hopes that the monthly accolades will add impetus to individual and team performances throughout the season. "As a player, I won the Bournvita Golden Boot and I know how important that was for me," he said. "It is our hope that these awards will spur the current generation to give everything to make the league more exciting and set themselves up for even bigger exposure." The first monthly awards announcement will come in the first week of December and outstanding performers will be selected by the Media/Awards Committee. The committee will also nominate recipients for the end of year awards, but the winners will be selected by public, nationwide vote. http://www.kickoff.com/news/18787/npl-monthly-awards-to-start-december.php |
