tkb417:hEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE, you dey joke abi? villa and Forest? can these clubs even win Europa cup again? see, apart from Barca and Madrid doing the job at the highest level, the likes of Sevilla, Valencia, A. Madrid are doing justice to the Europa cup. Now can you say the same of EPL? in 10 years, only 2 clubs have been able to win any European laurels for the EPL while in La liga, more than 5 clubs have done so for the league, now tell me, WHICH ONE IS SUPREME OF THE 2 IN THE LAST DECADE? |
The problem with fighting any club in europe is that, even if you win, you become so so unattractive to most prospective clubs.
He's already 29yrs old, it's worth fighting for bro, let him fight them, if he can get $20m from there, that's cool money bro. |

National Under-20 coach John Obuh has been left fuming after midfielder Stanley Okoro turned up promptly at the Super Eagles camp. Okoro, who was called up in place of the injured Joseph Akpala was named in Obuh's Flying Eagles squad, but proved unreachable, and Obuh was left unimpressed by his attitude. "This is a player we made every effort to reach when we were preparing for our last African qualifiers, but no one could reach him. But today, he was invited to the Super Eagles and was the first to arrive camp," Obuh fumed. Okoro was part of Obuh's Under-17 team which won the silver in 2009, and the coach has asked the NFF to caution his former ward. "I expect the federation to caution him over such attitude. If we allow it to go unmentioned, that would be encouraging indiscipline of the highest order. "He should be called to order before being allowed to feature for the Super Eagles, so that it would be a lesson to other players who would want to follow his example in future," Obuh said. http://www.kickoff.com/news/17532/john-obuh-angered-by-stanley-okoro-indiscipline.php |
Eguavoen lashes media over Eagles neglect Posted: 2010-09-01 08:09 Super Eagles stand-in coach Austin Eguavoen on Tuesday pointed to media neglect as one reason for the 'low performance' of players from the domestic league. Eguavoen accused the media of failing to report on the activities of players from the domestic league, even when they are in the national camp. "You people are the ones contributing to the low performance of our home based players while in the national camp," the former international said in a rare fit of pique. "All through the period we were camped here in preparation for our trip to Korea, no single journalist visited us. "Now that the foreign based players are around, the camp has become a beehive of activities." Former coach Shuaibu Amodu had pointed out during his time that local players lacked confidence, and Eguavoen admitted that more media coverage would build the players' self esteem. "If we want the home based players to do well, we should encourage them. They also need to read about themselves in the media, this will encourage them to aspire to do more for themselves and the country," he said. All the invited domestic league players are in camp, except for Warri Wolves forward Fengor Ogude, who has just signed for Norwegian club Valerenga. Of the foreign contingent, Obafemi Martins, Oluwafemi Ajilore, Chidi Odiah, Dele Aiyenugba, Vincent Enyeama, Michael Eneramo, Dickson Etuhu and Kalu Uche all trained along with the local players led by goalkeeper Bassey Akpan. Joseph Yobo is expected in midweek on completion of his loan move from Everton to Fenerbahce. http://www.kickoff.com/news/17533/austin-eguavoen-lashes-media-over-local-eagles-neglect.php |

tkb417:Valencia, they have been doing well in the last 10yrs Even Villarreal has been good too in the last 10 years. Athletic Madrid is another one. And finally Sevilla. |
Eastbay:I never said i knew it all, i wanted to list the names of big clubs in German and if you think Dortmund is not a big club in Germany, then you don't know about them. Nah, I rather watch the German league where i know 98% of the results can't be predicted than watch a league like EPL where i know who's to win the league even as early as the 2nd game of the season ![]() abeg, i don tire joo, i just dey play oo, me no good like that for foreign leagues oo ![]() |
tkb417:Can you kindly post that of Nottingham forest? are they also a big club since they have a robust history? how about Leeds United? what about Newcastle? maybe Aston villa too? are they also a big team since these clubs have robust history too? for your information, a Spanish club won the last champions league before Inter, and the Europa cup has almost turned to a Spanish affairs. The English clubs come to the UCL almost every day for more than 10yrs now, yet only 2 have been able to do anything tangible, compare that to what the Spanish clubs have achieved in 10yrs. 3 clubs from Spain won the champions league within the last 10yrs, only 2 did that from EPL. when you come down to the Europa cup, you'd see the Spanish teams almost making it their birthright ![]() if you want to talk about the Spanish achievements, come to the Barca thread, we can continue there ok? ![]() |
Uhmmm, what happens next after this loan expires? ![]() |
Ranoscky:HE'S NOT A NATIONAL TEAM MATERIAL EOD! ![]() |
marutimon:When did being a captain of a club translate to being committed to your country? btw, Mandada is the captain after Niang left, it's not T.T |
Eastbay:Based on your analogy, then we can prolly say Aston villa is a big club too, Nottingham forest is also a big club since they have both won European laurels before right? abeg stop spewing rubbish joor, The Dortmund you are calling rubbish were once giant killers, just because they have not won anything major does not mean they should be regarded as minor in their league, what do you say of Milan? Juventus and Roma? will you also say they are clowns because they are also yet to win anything major? having an European footballer of the year does not make your club a big club bro, afterall we some of us know the clubs Pele and Maradona played for, so when did playing for a club translate to the club being a big club? As for tbk, i hope you aren't expecting me to answer that question of yours? go back to your history books, check from 2000 to 2010, there you'd see the exploits the spanish teams did between the Champions league and the Europa cup. Last time i checked, a Spanish team won the Europa cup and also the super cup. |
