Osaze Odemwingie hits back at 'racist' Russian fans Nigeria striker Osaze Odemwingie has hit out at fans of his former club in Russia, following apparently racist banners targeted at him last weekend. Photographs showed Lokomotiv Moscow fans celebrating the sale of Odemwingie to West Bromwich Albion. One (above) included the image of a banana and read "Thanks West Brom". "It's a minority group but it's really sad - I have a good relationship with the club but this is a big disgrace," Odemwingie told BBC Sport. The 29-year-old explained that black players are regularly subjected to insults in the Russian league but said the authorities do not act. "Some fans treated me well at the club - only a group of supporters have shown how narrow minded they are to the world," Odemwingie said. "Coloured players feel the open racism there and I recall a game against CSKA Moscow when their fans started the sick noises - I wouldn't have any of it and gave it back to them. "This was widely publicised because photographers had shots of my protest but still nothing was done to curb it. "Sadly, it's a picture of a minority group in Russia - it really makes you feel sick but that is what it is. "You can't totally condemn the league or the people but I am a stronger individual, focusing on my career with Nigeria and West Brom now." The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has promised to write a protest letter to Fifa calling for disciplinary action to be taken following the incident. "We condemn this act of racism aimed at Osaze Odemwingie, hence we are preparing a letter to Fifa to discipline racist incidents in accordance with the Fifa statutes and the Fifa disciplinary code," NFF spokesman Robinson Okosun told BBC Sport. |
ogazi007:Which channel is likely showing this match? |
It's a no no to me, especially if it has to do with white garment churches or catholic churches, their interpretation of the bible is way off the mark for me and i can't afford to jeopardize my home and relationship with my future-wife and kids. |
Dis Guy:The illegality people are talking about is the court cases hanging in the air that the NFA and the congress ignored And also the case of the FAs not doing their own election first before the Presidential election. All the same, it has been done, let's see what Aminu Maigari is capable of doing. 1ST TASK: Siasia's signing. |
I don't think that's a photoshop. |
Well, he said some ![]() |
well, farewell to Ibra. |
^^ which network is this? |
I was once against the buying of Ibra, but i think he should stay now, he's likely to break out this time around and perform wonders, so he should stay. |
erico2k2:You are only trying to ignore the similarities, i never said they are 100 the same, i said they share similarities in terms of "losing all" if you end up defaulting. I know you can re-mortgage your house even without paying up the whole balance which is not possible with hire-purchase, but the above scenario is the similarity i spoke about. Yes, i know with mortgage comes equity, while Hire-purchase lacks that, so don't worry bro, i understand the 2 perfectly. The 401k is there to learn from. |
He's stupid, Amodu was given a tear rubber latest 2010 Kia jeep, i can't remember the name, but Sanni Lulu said the worth of the jeep was like #4.5m |
Well i can't speak or decide for him, i don't know what kinda MM he uses, but when i set out to scalp, i always set out for what i know i can afford to lose. |
jay bee:I believe with his method, he should have a very tight MM and is SL must be a tight one too. |
Guys check this out. ![]()
|
^^ Not always like that, sometimes banks can strike a deal with a construction company, then sell out these houses to their potential buyers with the mortgage plan actively rolling or they can as well do it themselves. Intercontinental bank has that option, they actually have branches specially for mortgage issues. Why i said it's similar to hire purchase is because of the "err" and "lose" all aspect, you can't tell me they ain't similar. |
Nigeria U-13s win England tourney Posted: 2010-08-24 09:46 Nigeria's Under-13 team beat Sporting CP 2-0 to win the 2010 International Youth Championship organised by the English Premier League. A total of 16 teams took part in the tournament with Nigeria placed in Group B along with Liverpool FC, Fulham FC and Birmingham FC. The Nigerians finished top of the group after beating Liverpool 4-0, Fulham 6-0 and Birmingham 4-1 to qualify for a semi-final meeting with the Chelsea team. They won that game 3-0 before emerging triumphant in the Final. The national Under 13 team is a project started by former NFF President Sani Lulu two years ago, with young footballers from Junior Secondary Schools nationwide. The first set of graduates from the project, who are now Under-15s, are expected to form the nucleus of the Under -17 team in two years time. |
medjai:South East: Felix Anyansi-Agwu South South: Christopher Greene South West: Olaleye Adepoju, Deji Tinubu They did. |
Not conceding goals? uhmm, that i can't say ![]() |
erico2k2:Yea i know all these, just thought you wanted to say it's only for salary earners Mortgage is similar to hire purchase, when you default, you lose both the house and all the amount you must have paid (after you might have been given some months grace) |
