Let’s Meet Him

Lot of people come and go in my life,
But this one has refused to go.
Meeting him was heavenly arranged by God,
That day I will never forget.

We started as roommate, then acquaintance, classmate, bed mate to friends, best friends and now family.
Two people from different background of life coming together to form a union,
And I thought that was only done by male and female but our friendship broke protocol.
Right from year 1 at our temporary accommodation in the University of Benin,
There the story started.

Let’s meet him.
Joshua Ogenerukewe Asih, dark in complexion with his glasses always looking and dressing like a deeper life, of course that what who he was.
He was different, weird is the right word, and focus.
Ready to make new friends, ready to learn and ready to play.
Nothing could stand on his way,
That is who he is.

Joshua Asih, turned Joshua Navi came into my life and wrote his name in my heart.
A unique personality he got, taught me certain things, all with love in his heart.
Even when I was a pain in his ass, insulted him, quarrelled with him, wished the session ended quickly so we could go our separate ways but God’s love kept us.
God wanted us to be together even when I tried walking away.
He had something in stock for us.

Joshua inspired me; his life style motivated me,
And the Livingstone you see today is as a result of the friendship I have with Joshua.
When I thought of giving up, he came and forced me to keep on believing.
He told me to follow my dreams and impact the people around me.
He transformed my life.

Let’s meet him.
He is an Engineer, a graphic designer,
A game freak and a lover of God's word.
An Evangelist, a lover of Rap music,
An Artist and a lover of good books.
A teacher, a cook,
A counselor and a lover of good food.
He is the founder of Choose God and Grow Movement.

All I can say to you on your birthday is that I LOVE YOU.
If love is a crime, then I want to be guilty.
If loving a guy was a sin, then I want to commit it.
The same way Jesus loved the church and Peter loved Jesus.
Yes, that same way, I have loved him with the love of Christ.

The ladies couldn’t break us up.
Distance couldn’t separate us.
But love kept us together.
On this day, your birthday I wish you the very best life has to offer.

Becoming your Dreams…

Being what and who you dream of…

But many of us actually have dreams? Or rather, how many of us still have dreams?Do you wake up every day and take life the way it is or are you pursuing something?

What are your dreams?

I remember when I was little I had so many dreams. I wanted to be a pilot, a doctor, an army officer and a farmer. I was a pretty good dreamer back then.Most of us had dreams too when we were little. Some wanted to be famous and rich; some wanted to be Engineers, Business men, etc. But what happened?

What happened to those dreams?

Why is it that we are not where we dreamt to be? What happened to us?

People are not born with dreams.

Oh, No they are not. As they began to grow, they started dreaming and worked towards their dreams and with time they accomplished their dreams. So ask yourself this question, ‘Do I have a dream or am I just living’?

It will amaze you to know that there are many youths in our society today without dreams, they are just living and that is why I’m here to show you how to become your dreams.

First of all, you need to know what you want in life, what you want to become in life, what you want to achieve in life. That’s your dream.

Do you want to be a musician, a fashion designer, a blogger, an actor, a doctor, an Engineer, a business man or woman? Whatever you dream of can be achieved in life but I tell you today it will not be easy. If it was easy, everyone would have accomplished their dreams. Every one of you can accomplish yourdreams.

Don’t get me wrong but are you ready to pay the necessary sacrifices? Are you ready to overcome the obstacle on the way?

When we see successful people on television living their dreams, we wish to be like them but how many of us are ready to pass through the challenges they had to overcome before being successful?

Only but a few.

You want to be the best musician but you are not ready to undergo series of training on your voice. You want to be a doctor and you are not ready to read your books. You want to be a fashion designer and when your boss correctsyou, you feel offended and walk away. We want the end products but we are not ready to make the sacrifices. See, life doesn’t work that way. You have to give something to get something.

At this point it will be nice if you get a notepad and a pen to take note of some of the key points I will be sharing with you. The training has already begun.

DON’T BE THE FIRST TO QUIT

Hello friend, I write these words to you with anger in my spirit. I’m angry with life, angry at the economy, and angry with everyone and everything around me.

Why?

It is because I’m tired. I’m tired of waking up every morning and seeing myself and others suffer. I’m tired of having little money entering my hand one second and the other second it’s gone. I’m tired of having to depend on my parents for source of living. I’m tired of the government fooling us over and over again and most importantly, I’m tired of that stupid fool called ‘school’.

I left my place of Industrial Training few days ago 3 hours before closing time because I could not take it anymore. I wanted to just quit everything. It’s like the whole world is turning against me and all I have left is just my laptop and my phone.

I have been writing for two years now and nothing to show for it. I have been a student of the University for five years now and it’s like I’m not being taught anything in school. School has been wasting my time, and everyone at home expects me to graduate with first class.

The stupid school in Nigeria I find myself in teach me to study hard, graduate with a good result and get a good job and no one is teaching me how to make it in life.

Will I graduate with first class and the ‘good job’ will be waiting for me?

Hell NO!!!

So today I made a decision not to put all my trust in this messed up education system, not to give in my all in school but to think outside the box. I have decided to learn things outside the classroom to develop myself and cause a positive impact. To be the change I want to see and not wait for the government that promises change I cannot feel.

So are you like me who once thought of living school, quitting, leaving this country, and taking a walk to nowhere and never to return or committing suicide?

I just want to let you know that there is still hope for us. Don’t be the first to quit as you are not the first to be in that situation. I believe that there are better days ahead of us and we were not born to be useless. We are born to make a difference in our world.

It all starts from the choices we make today. Make a choice today to stand out. Not to let the education system or certificates determine our future. Not to let the government fool us again. To take our destiny in our hands and be whosoever we want to be.

I urge you today to develop yourself as you are the only one that can educate yourself. Our education system has failed itself and not us. I urge you to keep doing that which you know how to do best and keep impacting your world. We will make it someday and when we finally do, we will look back and have an awesome story to tell.

Never give up on your dreams and don’t be the first to quit. Before you quit, consider what would happen if you manage to get through the dip and win at the end. Don’t let the situation win and laugh at you. Let’s have the last laugh.

Yes, we can and yes I believe.

Steve Harris always say, “it’s not what you do not have that limits you, it’s what you have and do not know how to use”.

7 THINGS GUYS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT LADIES

I have explained to ladies what they need to know about guys and I thought it will be unfair if I don’t do the same for guys. I’m not a lady but I have many female friends who trust me, so I asked them a few questions and they told me what I needed to know.

So guys relax while I take you into the world of a lady and tell you things you should know about them that will help your relationship. Ladies please don’t be offended; I just want my fellow guys to be happy and teach them how to treat you right.
Guys leave whatever you are doing and let your focus be here;
1) GIRLS LOVE COMPLIMENT
A girl walks into the room with a new hair style, don’t just stand and look. Say something nice about the hair. It won’t kill you if you say,

“Baby, you look more beautiful in your new hair style”.

Girls love it, they love to be complimented. If she cooks for you, say something nice about the food except she is a terrible cook.

Tell her how wonderful she looks in those heels or dress. If you compliment her more often, she will want to pleased you more and the relationship will last longer.

2) GIRLS NEED YOU TO PROTECT THEM
The main functions of a man are to Profess, Provide and Protect his woman. Ladies are like babies, they need your protection. I’m not talking about standing in front of a bullet for her even though some guys will do that but not me.

As for me, if God says you will die from a gun bullet, who am I to change that?

Be the guy she wants you to be. If someone is insulting her in public, don’t just stand there, defend her. Let her feel safe anytime she is with you.

3) LISTEN TO HER AND REMEMBER ALL
Girls love to talk. It’s in their DNA, they just love it. Anytime she is with you, try to listen to whatever she is saying. She trusts you and that is why she is telling you.
Don’t just listen; try to remember all or almost all she tells you. Girls feel offended if you forget the things she tells you.

They need you to know things about them. So while she is talking, ask questions to keep the conversation going. If she tells you a about a problem she’s facing, don’t just nod your head like an Agama Lizard, suggest solutions to her problems. I know you are not a genius and even if you have no idea of what she is talking about, please say something to her. It may not totally solve the problem, but it will make her feel relaxed knowing that you care.

4) THEY LOVE TO BE HAPPY
As it is said, ‘A happy wife is a happy home’. Know what makes her happy and do it without her asking. She will really appreciate it. While having a conversation with her, say something funny to make her smile or laugh a little. Don’t let the conversation be like a history class in the University.

Learn to always put a smile on her face. Buy something for her no matter how little it is. Show her that you care for her and she will never leave you.

5) GIRLS HATE PLAYERS
Yes, girls hate it when you play with their heart. If a girl loves you, she will be loyal to you and wants to be with you. Don’t use her love against her. Love her back and stay away from her if you don’t love her.

If you know that you are not ready for a serious relationship with a lady, please mind your business and leave her alone. She is not begging to be with you. Why make her fall in love with you when you know that you don’t want to date her. All you want is just to have sex with her and walk away. It is not fair on the lady’s part.

Be sincere with yourself and with her from the very beginning. If its sex you want, tell her from the start. Don’t start something you know you will not finish. When you break a lady’s heart, her attitude towards other single guys like me will change. She will think all guys are the same. Please don’t play with her heart.

6) BE YOURSELF
Why do most guys ‘form’ when they are around ladies?

Be yourself. Be free with her. Don’t pretend to be someone you are not, because it doesn’t make sense. Let her fall in love with the real you. Be.....

I know some guys will be angry with me for the information I am about to give out. Please don’t be, these ladies are special to us and we should treat them with respect. Enough of playing with their heart and leaving it broken, it shouldn’t be that way. Love her if you want to and leave her alone if you don’t. There is nothing wrong with just being friends with her.

To all the single ladies, I want you to know these 7 facts about guys that will help your future relationship.

1) HE SAW SOMETHING IN YOU
No guy will walk up to you if he didn’t see anything in you and that’s the bitter truth. I keep telling ladies that if no guy comes to ask you out, check yourself. Something is definitely wrong with you.

He saw something and he wants that thing. It could be your beauty, your curves, your height, or your IQ that attracted him and when he comes over, he would want to relate with that. But the shocking news is that 70% of the guys coming to you are basically to have sex with you.

Yes, that’s the truth.

So you should be able to know from the start if he wants to be your friend first or if he just wants sex and walk away. And I tell you today that guys love sex.

2) GUYS THINK FAST
There’s a popular saying, ‘Girls have fish Brains’. This is because guys think very fast, faster than most girls. A third class academic guy becomes a first class genius when it comes to a lady. They just know what to say and how to predict things. They know when to act and when to stop, they are just too good. Know that anytime a guy comes to you, he already knows what to say and he can read body language. He knows if you are in the mood to chat or not.

3) GUYS KEEP LADIES THAT ARE ‘HARD TO GET’
If a guy comes over to you and ask for your name and you end up telling him everything about you, he will consider you as being ‘cheap’ and someone who is desperately in need of a guy. They will have fun with you and leave after a week or two or immediately after having sex with you. But when a guy walks up to you and ask for your name and you just tell him that information and then he starts asking you personal questions like if you’ve got any boyfriend or if you like sex. Stop him immediately, give him boundaries and demand he respects them.

When a guy sees a lady like this, he will respect you. He will do everything within his reach to make you trust him and he will keep you.

4) GUYS DON’T LIKE LADIES WHO ARE TOO INDEPENDENT
I know some girls want to do things by themselves, buy whatever they want for themselves and get things done by themselves. See, guys don’t like this type of ladies. They believe if you can do everything by yourself, why then should they be in your life. Allow a guy take you out, let him open the door for you and let him pay the bills. It’s a man’s job to provide for you and when you start doing things as if you are the head, he will walk away.

Even when you know how to do something, ask for his opinion, let him feel needed in your life and I bet you he will stay in your life.

5) GUYS LOVE LADIES WHO CAN COOK
When a guy is growing up, his mum cooks for him but when it’s time for him to get a girl; he would need someone to continue from where his mum stopped. You must know how to cook, if not he will walk away. Stop giving the excuse that your mum did not teach you how to cook. Go and learn how to cook if you want him to keep you.

No guy wants to stay with a lady who cannot boil water. It is his duty to work and provide for you while it is your duty to cook.

6) HE WONT STAY IF HE IS NOT READY
My friends keep asking me why I haven’t gotten a girlfriend yet. The answer is quite simple, ‘I’m not ready’. A guy who is not ready to have a girlfriend will not stay with you. He will only have sex with you and leave.

A guy who is ready is a guy who knows who he is, knows what he wants and has gotten it. That’s his focus and when he has gotten it, then he can date you but if he hasn’t gotten what he want.....

PASSION

SURROUND YOURSELF WITH LIKE MINDS

The law of electromagnetism states that like charges repel and unlike charges attract. Well, this is not a physics class, so let's scrap that. In the real life, like charges attract and unlike charges repel.

If you want to go far and be successful, then you have to surround yourself with people who have either made it or are on the path of success. But if you surround yourself with people without vision or goal, you will not go far and with time you will lose focus.

BE WANTED


When I told my friends that I wanted to be 'wanted', they were confused. Hope you aren't confuse too.

I'm not talking about being wanted by the police but being wanted for your talent. Make yourself so valuable that people will pay anything for you to be with them. As I said earlier in one of my posts, be so valuable that if you had to move out of the neighborhood, men and women would weep because of your departure.

The only way to be wanted is to work hard on your gift, on your talent and be the best there is. Be a real contributor to your age, don't just exist.

We often neglect the little things of life to pursue the big things, not realising that our positions in the big things are decided by how much we handle the little things.

Most of you keep praying for a promotion, to be the Head of a Department or for the world to know that you exist. You focus so much on that and forget your present situation, the little in your hand. And for most of you because you no longer regard the little you have, you lose the big opportunity and the little one.

A man that is faithful in little will surely be faithful in much. Handle that small position well with all your heart and it will be easy handling the big position.

How you are doing right where you are as a student or as a worker in another person's business is what is determining what your life will be later. Be mindful of the little things, they are there to train you.

TRAIN YOURSELF

What you do for yourself counts far more than all that others have done for you. Nobody will take you to your point of success; you just have to take yourself there. I read a story of a kid who loves playing the ground piano, his parents got him a teacher who taught him how to play it for 2 hours everyday but the kid spends extra 6 hours practicing to be better.


You are the only one that can make yourself better, go for it. What you have under developed in you has no value. No one else either wishes or has the time to develop it. That is your business and only you can develop it to become the best.


Don't be satisfied with anything you do. Always seek to improve yourself. Train yourself to be the best and do not compare yourself with others. Compare yourself with who you were yesterday.

DON'T GO BACK


I see a lot of people who give up at their point of breakthrough. If only they took one more step forward, they would have gotten the gold. At that point in your life where everything looks dry and there is no hope, that is when you should press further and not give up or go back to square 1.


Only the committed refuse to be omitted in th hall of fame because until you are through with the thought of going back, the thought of moving forward will not come easily.

SAVE AND INVEST

Some persons don't like to save; they spend all their income even before the month is over and then they go broke again. Learn to save at least 10% of your income.

Don't save after spending. Please don't do that but save before spending. If you are being paid $10,000 monthly, saving 10% means you are saving $1,000 every month and at the end of the year you will be having $12,000 then you can invest that money into a business, real estate or anything else....

Take a first step

Remember when that little baby in your village wanted to start walking. She would stand, take a step and fall, she will do it again and even when she keeps falling down, she kept on doing it until she started running.

Everything in life starts by taking a first step. You want to start a business or an invention or be successful and you are scared, be like that baby girl and take a first step.

A lot of people have the intention to do something, to make a difference, all they need is someone to push them to do it. I am here, telling you to take a first step and you might end up being the saviour. It all begins with a step of faith.

A lady came to our station for Industrial Training and as a friendly guy, I walked up to her and introduced myself. Then one of the corpers serving there said, 'don't mind stone, he doesn't have money. He only knows how to talk'. (watin concern dis corper babe, I send her message? ) I told the lady this, ' I may not have money but I have ideas. If we become friends, we can share our ideas'. She said no to me, that she needed a friend with money. Now my question is this, will you marry a guy with money or ideas? # STONE (ALWAYS READY TO SERVE)

BE WHO GOD WANTS YOU TO BE

 

The Ernest expectation of the creatures await the manifestation of the sons of God. A lot of people out there are waiting for you to manifest. To show forth what you’ve got inside of you, be it academics, art, ideas, politics, in the marketplace, in business, in your office, or any area you find yourself. The world is waiting for you to show forth. God did not create an empty vessel. He created you to show forth His Glory in this world.

When I was little, there was this toys I see kids on TV play with. There you have a three dimensional objects, cylinder, cuboid and a pyramid and the kids on TV would try to fix each of these objects in its own compartment. The cylinder goes to a circular hole, the cuboid goes to a square hole while the pyramid goes to a triangular hole and if they try to exchange the objects, it won’t fit in. that’s how we humans are. God has created us to fit a particular hole, to complete the puzzle but we try to fit into a different hole that’s not for us. We try to be someone else instead of being ourselves. We try to copy others forgetting who we are and why we were created, our true identity, and we can’t even be the best copycat. We imitate others, forgetting that imitation is limitation.

God made you special, why then do you try to be someone else? We are actually telling God that he doesn’t know what he did. We all were born original but many ended up as photocopies. We change the way we look, we talk, we move because we want what our neighbours have, and we want to be like others. Who told you that you can’t be better if you remain who you are? Be yourself. Even if nobody in the world believes you can be better, you have no problem. But when the unbeliever is you, then you are in DEEP SHIT.

Just be who you are and don’t stop being who you are. I say DON’T STOP. Whatever you are today give thanks to God for it, because the absence of appreciation leads to depreciation. If you really want to make it in life, all you need is to be appreciative and work on yourself. Package yourself, and tell yourself that you can do it. Believe in yourself.

Whenever you stand in front of a mirror, see God’s image because that’s who you are. A friend of mine said that when God takes a selfie, the image is you. Why then do you belittle yourself? WHY? You were made just like him.

I understand that the main reason why people do this is because of fear. Yes fear, False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear of the unknown. Fear of what people will say or think. We allow the opinion of others affect who we are. The devil gives us a chair to sit and tells us to think about the past, to worry over nothing and then he sits on our head eating groundnut. We allow the devil tell us how big our problems are instead of we telling the devil and the problem how big our God is. You are not the first person going through that situation you find yourself, don’t be the first to quit. DON’T QUIT.

If you have lost anything in life, there is a reason God didn’t allow you to lose everything. All you need is right in front of you. The solutions to all your problems is in the BIBLE. There are so many principles, instructions, and guidelines in the word of God. Just apply it and you will see the changes. RememberDON’T GIVE UP. Even if you fall down, if you can look up, then you can get up and try again. There are no hopeless situations, there are only hopeless people in situations. If you can think through, then you can break through.

I speak to you children, young men, young women, parents and pastors. Yes, and pastors. You can actually be that treasure God wants you to be. He said “I wish above all things that thou may prosper”. His thought for you are of good and not of evil. You are his priceless jewel and He’s not going to let the devil have fun with your life. Just let God be the captain of your ship and you will sail safely. He said “Fear not, for I am with you always”.

Yes, you are a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.

You are blessed and highly favoured.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Yes, you are born to win.
