Shogunle's effort is quite commendable. He is trying really hard to re-brand the force but some lousy bunch will always make sure they drag the force back to its cursed ways.

Good morning NLers

The thread on the sorry state of Ikogosi warm spring resort came as a rude shock to me. I worked in Ekiti prior to the 2014 election and I know the facility was renovated by the administration of Dr Kayode Fayemi 5/6yrs ago.
I did some digging online and I was able to find pictures of the renovation if Ikogosi and it's access roads under Fayemi of APC.

Long story short, it takes little or no effort to destroy what has been built. That is why we as the electorates must open our eyes wide and differentiate between a good leader and the empty barrel. Enjoy the thread

I visited this tourist site four years ago and I will love to share some of my pictures with you.

I will get you the length but the going rate for a pre cast parapet of this design is about N23,000 for a linear meter.

Thank you for the information shared.I hope to embark on a personal building project before December and I intend including parapets in the project. I ve been weighting the option of using precast because it's more affordable. Based on the information you provided I ve settled for precast.

I wish to know what you mean by the word "linear".

I use a Samsung Galaxy Prime which I purchased some months ago from Samsung showroom in Wise, Abuja. Attached is the phone's specifications.

I recently noticed the phone's processing speed had deteriorated. Upon enquiry I discovered the average size of each picture I take is 1MB. Yes, I mean 1MB! Some pictures I take are as large as 2.2 MB. I have checked my camera's setting and I am presently using the lowest resolution. I even had to download another camera but all to no avail.

I also discovered apps I download become larger in size on my phone. For instance, I downloaded Firstmobile which is supposed to be 24 MB but on my phone it's 84. 77 MB!

YouTube is about 38 MB on my phone while the actual size ought to be 16 MB. Whatsapp is 102 MB as against its default size of 23 MB.

I need your kind advice on what to do to resolve this challenge.

Thanks my brother, ...Anyway parapet is a concrete cement structure to beauty and balance the roof (the house) hence building is concerned.

Meanwhile from my little experience so far in building construction I noticed that change is always, so parapet may take a different dimension and style in future. However I prefer a lightweight parapet considering a quality concrete mixture on the pillars and it's safe bearing capacity (SBC) which suspends the the parapet till the expiration of the "life span" because is not meant to over load the building at all, but without such understanding many are victims today.

Nevertheless, quality mixture with dimension accuracy, techniques, carefulness and experience you can make a wonderful parapet that will stand the test of time weather cast or pop.

Thank you once again. I appreciate your kind advice.

I was expecting you to shed more light on the pros and cons of pop and cast parapet. I am about starting a personal building project and I will apreciate your professional advice.

Keep up the good work.
Family / Re: Pic: When You See Struggling Mums Like This, Don't Bargain With Them, Pay More by horladeji80(m): 1:39pm On Jun 05, 2016
Yuneehk:

It's really annoying when I see rich people 'price' stuffs from these poor women. Some will go to the extent of not buying it even if their price and that which the traders are willing to sell it at is just ten naira

When discussions like this come up, it's always more convenient to point fingers at others who are more financially favoured than we are and call them "rich people".

The fact that you can afford a phone and also pay for megabytes puts you ahead of most Nigerians who are really poor and can not afford a decent meal talk less of affording the "luxury" of owning a phone and also paying for megabytes. People in this category will also call you "rich"!

The question is "what have you done to help the poor around you as an individual with the little God has blessed you with? " Your widow's mite 'll go a long way in redistributing wealth.

Don't wait for the "rich people" because you are also rich in your own right.
