Take heart, my friend. Just find solace in the fact that she is no more suffering. And make her proud in all you do. I feel your pain.
Thank you....writing about it just opened some stuffs I have been hiding for so long. I pray we all get to live long, in immeasurable prosperity and good health
Nairaland GeneralRe: What's The Most Traumatic And Scariest Event You Have Ever Witnessed? by Horllamideh(m):
my most traumatic moment was when I went to visit my Mum at a hospital in Gambari (Ogbomoso) on October 29, 2004..….shes battled cancer for some time and had gone under the knife twice. So on that fateful, me and my sister went to visit her bearing food and clothes for her and my dad (he was with her for two months). I was just ten and had just entered JSS 1, she was muttering some words.... calling our names (her children), apparently she thought she was at home.....she held on tightly to my hands. When it was evening.....she refused to let me go, my Dad had to lie that me and sister will just be right out to get food for her. We came back home to Ogbomoso.....I was disturbed all through the night, couldn't sleep....very early in the morning around 5;30am.....We heard the sound of a vehicle, a pickup truck and a knock.....Dad came in with this sober expression.....Mum was dead, her body laid at the back of the truck. I miss you so much Mum..., I so much wish you are still here..... I really can't hold back tears while typing this.

I saw this spider somewhere around my neighborhood. It aroused my curiosity because it's not like any of these regular spiders around. It's entirely black with stripes of Red, Yellow and Green at the back.....like on Cameroon flag. Who has seen this specie of spider before.
Sorry if this is not the right section to post this....

Foreign AffairsSaudi Arabia To Let Women Drive At Last- CNN by Horllamideh(op): 3:14am On Sep 27, 2017
By Nicole Gaouette and Elise Labott, Washington (CNN)
Saudi Arabia is easing restrictions on women driving, finally allowing almost half its population to get behind the wheel.

A royal decree has been issued that will allow women in the country to drive, the Saudi Foreign ministry said Tuesday on its official Twitter account. A committee has been formed to implement the ruling and it will present recommendations within 30 days. Then the government will have until June 24, 2018, to implement the new decree.
In 2013, a campaign to defy the government ban on women driving saw dozens get behind the wheel and post photos of themselves driving on social media. They were quickly cut short by authorities and several spoke to CNN about their fear of retaliation in the aftermath.
Ambassador bin Salman said the decree is part of a historical arc. "We have a young and dynamic society that is young and more open." He added that the decision is "part of a process that's happening since 1932" when the country was founded.

Question.

Explain the reason why sodium chloride cannot be referred to as an alloy even though añ alloy is said to be a combination of two or more elements, one of which is a metal.
NaCl doesn't exhibit metallic bonding and from physical observation can't be hammered into sheet

Exactly that is why southeast governors perform better than other governorsgrin
The truth of the matter is what Kemi Olunloyo said sometimes ago that Igbos are too emotional..... That's why I still maintained that bloated emotions is the reason for their current agitation and that alone will cause the whole charade to fall like a pack of cards.

Little wonder the Igbos shouts Biafra every now and then cos such is the way forward not nepotism and demonic favoritism that Nigeria is known for.

This is the very squad that South Africa walloped 2:0 at Uyo. Igbos are the majority in it. Do we now use that to counter your argument because they failed. You lots are always quick to attack something when it's not favouring you but will keep mute as long as you are benefitting from it. Lemme unveil the weakness of your logic, What will be your defence if other tribes complain of marginalization because there were five Igbo players on the field on Friday??

I served in the East, Owerri to be precise. Owerri people are so detribalised. Sometimes I do have a hard time cross-referencing what I see here on NL with the love those people shown me over there. I miss all those Mama at Amakohia market, my favourite barbing place around that side too. I served around Egbeada estate and those peeps made me feel loved. The farther I have ever travelled in the Northern direction is Kogi, but I admire the simplicity of the life of a Hausa man.
I love the comment about writing down your own personal experiences with other tribes and not some generalized "regurgitated" missgivings, I did that and have little or nothing to document. Kudos OP for creating this thread.

I thought the developers are done with Indonesia since the frequency at which we honourable members of NCAN get news of their developmental prowess over there has reduced borborciously. Jesus will come on the last day of the very year that the developers from naija all agreed not to develop the world again.

The day this Eastern folks wake up to the fact that "the insect eating away their vegetable stays on the vegetable" is the very day that all their problem will disappear. The thing is, it's quite hard to help someone who believes all his problem stems from other people and not himself. GEJ's tenure was the minority's chance to show that they are capable of solving their so called developmental issue but they waste it all away. An Yoruba man like myself does not care whether you bring in goods from Lagos or Onne. So ask your polithiefcians some questions...... sit GEJ down on the black muddy ground of Otuoke and ask him why he refused to give his region a facelift they needed even though he had 6 years to do it.

But mahn.... They still don't get it. I see this bullshit everytime and I'm starting to think they do it to make themselves feel good

I and many other Yorubas here jumped on this pro-biafuro train before many of them starting singing zoo must fall. We've been supporting them since God knows when. Even when Maazi Nnamiddiot was talking chit

But they don't care about those who are in support. They'd rather focus on the few who are against it and tell us "Yorubas are against Biafuro"

A potor here once told me I'm afraid of Biafuro. I told him I'm in support of Biafuro. The clown replied;

"You're in support because you want to steal Igbo properties "

For my mind, me just dey like....Bro i don't even eat gala that much grin cheesy

Abi no be the only property wey dem get be that?
