Well, I once read a book written by one of the christian leaders. He said, in hell, he saw pple being hung by a specific organ of their body, he made some enquiries from the person tormenting them and the man said, they are being hung by those organs cos it was that organ that made them sin when they were on earth

So I guess that passage is telling christians that they can still make heaven, no mata how well they'v sinned on earth. The only thing you need to do is cut off that part of your body that is making you sin before rapture comes

Ogbeni just park it there! If you are having any grieviances with God you shouldn't start taking it out on Africans. Who told you Americans are not religious? Who told you people in Dubai that has been transformed to one of the most beautiful cities in the world are not religious in their own way? There are more christians in America than there are in Nigeria in case you don't know it. The founders of this great America you see today were not atheists, they were christians! and that was one of the major factors that played a role in abolishing slavery. So for you to come here and generalize things that Africans are backward because of religion is a blatant lie! Whether religion or no religion, people and economies will advance or retrogress, it all depends on how the people decide to shape their thinking pattern or mentality. Afterall, Jesus Himself made a profound statement and said "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes". The same bible also says in the book of Hosea, "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge". So if you are suffering or under oppression of lack or poverty or you have seen religious people who appear to be, stop blaming God for it. God has already commanded us to seek knowledge to improve our lives and not be destroyed by suffering. If we don't seek the knowledge that will set us free from suffering, it's no longer God's fault if we continue in that suffering, it's now our fault and we should take responsibility for it and stop blaming God! God gave man brain so that man can give God rest!

Up until man discovered quinine to fight malaria in the 19th century or so, some people like you must have been complaining that God is wicked to be allowing malaria to kill humans, meanwhile God had already created quinine and other cures of malaria and all man needed to do was open his eyes and seek knowledge to discover quinine that God already created and use it to cure malaria.

When the founding fathers built America on God's principles and drafted their constitution based on the bible, America became great and after a while prospered to overtake Great Britain in power and influence.....but now, many atheists are springing up in America and trying to change the status quo. no wonder students now wake up and just start shooting their fellow students for no reason. mass murders on the streets for no reason every now and then. these were things unheard of in the past until America's leaders started abandoning the ways of God and began introducing homosexuality and other cultures that relegate the influence of God in the American society.
The fact that some people have been deceived by false prophets of God here and there does not in any way mean that God is the problem!
