He didn't and his body language shows that he prefers Atiku as all the elites know that Buhari was an incompetent bigot who would condemn Nigeria to a worst situation than what we were running away from at the time.

Then why dont they speak up and openly condemn him, and show more sound support for the very obvious better Atiku. He is Educated, a successful business man and of the majority group in the region (Hausa). Why in the heck would they put their support behind a too old, poorly educated, business acumen lacking, Fulani bigot (Buhari). Atiku was clearly the better choice by a long shot. The Hausa clearly have a subservient mentality toward the Fulani, and it is destroying them.

Car pooling to the rescue.

Setting out that early has not really been safe from the get go anyways. From kidnappers to one chance robbers.

I think taxify has an option for making multiple stops. 4 people can meet at a bus stop, book a ride, share the cost and drop at their individual destinations.

QED.

Right, this will force Lagosians to become more creative in ways to get around the city, and actually generate more sound business opportunities in the State. Uber and Lyft operations should rapidly grow. People could create personal car pooling operations to generate revenue. People can begin to use peddle bikes to get around on a greater level, as is the case in many Asian nations. Great change is rarely ever accomplished by grace, but rather most often by force.

before you come spewing trash do a little research.

If walking to work is a major task, and the city buses are not sufficient at this time, why not do as many in Asia do, and ride a peddle bike?

Dominicans did not start coming to the US until the 1970's, more so 1980's-1990s. They are not traumatized and you can find many on youtube posting DNA kit results. They are very aware of their ancestry. Hopefully this link works, American writer from the early 1900's.

I did not specifically state that dominicans began coming at that time; I stated that that is when hispanics, more specifically Puerto Ricans and Cubans mostly began doing so in significant numbers.

Lol That pie graph means nothing when dealing with a group that is traumatized and confused as to their racial identity. That graph is based on a mixture of what people will self report about themselves and an image of what their gov. wants to present to the public and the rest of the world about their nations populous; neither of wich are credible. This is well recognized by even international organizations. Many other Latin America nations either used to or still do have the same issue of clearly "black" people putting mulatto or a half dozen other terms related to skin tone down all in an effort to avoid having to put down black or Afro whatever.

Now if they could get away with it, they'll put down white in a heartbeat. Lol That's what many of them tried to do when they began immigrating to the US in large numbers starting back in the 30s and 40s, but the US would not allow them to do so, so the US gov. just simply created the Hispanic or Latino/a catigory for them all to be placed under as a compromise.

Most of the folks who identify as black listed on that graph are Haitians of all skin tones and features, they make up a sizable portion of the nations population, and are very proud of their blackness and African roots unlike their Dominican cousins.

You people are delusional. Lol The AA revenue flow is like $2 trillion, nearly twice that of the entire African continent. How in the hell could a so called "lazy people", who don't work, and sit around doing drugs and crime all day blaming whites for their "miserable lives" generate that much capital out of a group of like 50mill compared to Africa's over 1bill inhabitants? I do agree that despite the successes we need to begin a more progressive turn toward greater levels of ownership in the American market.

Most are mixed race, like 80%. Why would they identify as black?

Lol This is false information. "Afro-Domincans" are 80% of the population as stated, but are in fact not as "mixed race" as you and they like to think they are. Its all a bunch of carry-over white washing ideological thoughts carried over from the Trujilo whitening policy back in the day. Brazil, PR, Cuba and most successfully Argentina all implemented some version of the same process during that same period.

The process pushed a policy that cornered the black population into conditions that encouraged them to hate their African heritage and blackness to the point that they'll want to eliminate it out of their future generations, this was supplemented with a flood of European immigrants into the nation in hopes that they would begin the process of actually physically mixing the blackness out of the nation.

Read up on this. The project didn't work so well as a lot of the Europeans didnt want to mix and many others ended up migrating to other locations in latin america or the US over time. But the project did a major psychological job on the nations Afro-Dominican population, as many began to seek out mostly only fellow afro-dominicans with the whitest or simply non african features in hopes of in time generating a mulatto race people, or more so one that has the appearance of being so, as is somewhat the case currently. This only partially worked as well.

They are no more a mixed race group as than many other afro diasporan groups; yet these other groups are still proud of their african roots in the US, Caribbean, central and South America. Many Dominicans are seen as just a bunch of sellouts, by the rest of the diaspora.

Even Afro-Brazilians, cubans and PRs who went through a similar process as them, have gone through a major psychological change and are now majorly re-embracing their pride in their blackness and African heritage.

They should of bulldozed all of those illegal shacks on the side of the road while they were at it. All of these pop up market locations should be torn down as all of the roads in the city are being repaired, and the occupants channeled to either indoor locations and or dedicated outside market grounds placed in a few dedicated open areas around the city. To have them sprawled out in shacks like this all over the city is not only a major eyesore but is also extremely unsanitary and dangerous. Lagos can not become a proper world class mega city with places like this being allowed to linger around all over the place. FACT!

Imagine each state is made to build at least 1000mw in their states, that will automatically give us 36000mw

imagine lagos, delta, kano, Akwa ibom, kaduna, Rivers and Anambra can build at least 2000mw in 8yrs that is 7000 extra mw totaling 43000mw

is this not doable?

Several NE states will not be able to achieve that goal in that time frame unless the government gets serious about eliminating terrorist activities in that region.

It's the over abundance of attitudes like this amongst you Nigerians that is the reason that your nation is nowhere near where it should already be today. You all do not dream and execute on a large enough scale to make genuine hasty progress as apposed to snails pace. The great American Hoover Dam was built in the middle of a desert here in the US and still to date provides a sizable proportion of the SW's energy needs. It was and remains the single largest entity that lead to the rapid growth and survival of the renowned city of Las Vegas, which prior to the dams creation was nothing more than an dusty, dilapidated and nearly vacant ex spanish/Mexican colonial outpost. The dam brought it back to life and made it thrive.

Ok, so why hasn't anyone answered the question? I'm asking because I've been looking around at the various pictures of the many new shopping plazas and malls being built in nigeria as well as the many new houses and other living spaces, and noticed that there's never any new home repair or decor stores placed in any of the new shopping locations to cater to the massively growing housing market in the nation. As an African-American, I'm wondering if that is an area where I and some others may find success investing in there in Nigeria?

no African nation has ever been the manufacturing hub of any european nation and the europeans don't do knowledge and technology transfer with Africans..

why don't AA's have an AA made smartphone?

Search this name. Freddie Figgers. You're welcome. I work with loads of AA along with some Africans and some Afro-Caribbean, whom all get along pretty well.. I find this immense display of spouted ignorance in this thread pretty odd and shameless of the many on this site whom support these thoughts, which I'll have to share with my extensive network of AA colleagues who do a lot of hard work in all areas of operation with Nigerians in the US.

Including the fight for the gov. to open more opportunities for African immigration, work visas and more in which this current presidential administration in office wants to drastically cut, in that they view you and your nations as worthless shit_holes. There is about 50million AA in this nation, with an amassed spending power of nearly $2Trillion. Could a "lazy" people who don't work and are all on welfare, doing drugs and commiting crime all day achieve that?

You all are acting shameless and brainless, common sense should tell you that not even close to a majority of AA are anything close to being the monsters you've conjured up and described here. That's as illogical as people stating that they hate Nigerians because they are all a bunch of over procreating, drug peddling, violent, scammers, whom are corrupt as hell.

When you are in this nation you are in contact with the full social economic spectrum of the AA community, the good and the bad, and its unfortunate that the bad mostly exist right in or near the heart of the main cities with major avenues and expressways running right through them for all to see and gawk at while the vast majority of the much, much larger white underserved and troubled population is primarily crowded away in the countryside of the nation, yet are in just as bad shape as there black equivalent.

Unlike their black pairs, these whites are drastically under policed, hence their massive levels of drug use and overdose levels in which are growing rapidly, along with violent crimes, alcoholism, suicide and std rates, while that of their black pairs are stabilizing and or decreasing. But this is also the reason for the major disparities in the arrest, prosecution and prison levels between the two groups that we witness today as well, as troubled black areas are heavily policed and while equivalent white ones are not.

You will not see this mass of white impoverished degeneracy plastered on the news as you would other groups because, it is only common sense that the ones who own the major news operations would not want to use their platform to place a spotlight on their bad side as they do with others; out of site out of mind is the theory. If the roles were reversed, we'd honestly would probably do the same.

NAF INTENSIFIES BOMBARDMENT OF ARMED BANDITS’ HIDEOUTS, DESTROYS TRUCK, NEUTRALIZES SEVERAL BANDITS AT COMPOUND IN RUGU FOREST ZAMFARA STATE

The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation DIRAN MIKIYA has intensified the bombardment of armed bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State and environs. The air strikes were preceded by days of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, initiated based on credible Human Intelligence reports, which led to the identification of several camps being used by the bandits to launch attacks against innocent civilians.

One of the air interdiction missions was conducted at dawn today, 7 February 2019, at a location in Rugu Forest South of Gurbin Baure, where some armed bandits were seen assembled by a logistics truck parked near their compound-hideout. The ATF dispatched a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) attack helicopter and an Alpha Jet to engage the bandits’ truck and compound. Overhead the target area, the bandits were seen dispersing in different directions with some attempting to make a getaway in the truck. The helicopter strafed the moving truck in successive passes immobilizing it and neutralizing its occupants. The Alpha Jet simultaneously attacked the compound and destroyed one of the huts harbouring the bandits, which was seen engulfed in flames. Credible Intelligence sources later revealed that several bandits were killed as a result of the attack.

The NAF, working in close coordination with surface forces and other security agencies, will sustain its reconnaissance and air interdiction missions to neutralize the armed bandits and deny them freedom of action in the area.

They need more powerful and accurate weapons. They fired off a bunch of rockets and barely hit anything. What a huge waste of money. One or two good missiles could of taken that whole camp out.

"racial slur"
A derogatory nick-name generally used when talking shit about people from a specific race

Well in the same way many black folks, unfortunately, embrace the title of ghetto or hood, many whites also embrace the term redneck. Listen to country music and you'll notice how loads of songs have the artists referring to themselves as rednecks just as many black artists in hip hop songs refer to themselves as hood or ghetto. They have more to do with a type of lifestyle than it does race.
