You should have posted this in the politics section. Nevertheless I don't know if you have lived with the whites before. If you did you will observe that their upbringing, training, etc are completely different from ours. Caring for others has always been part of their home training, it is their second nature. And that was why they were able to fight those battles of yesteryears Churchill ".... we shall never surrender". How many of us on this forum have the time to hammer into our childre's head to love their neighbours as themselves. We are too busy teaching them to run after money and money alone.

There is a difference, on SMN there are mostly long term investors, here we have mostly traders,

In a sustained bear market, People here would loose far more money than those on SMN because the stocks with fundamentals and reputation would be less affected than the flying stocks with no substance behind them,

I've seen a bit of all, this is my 8th year in the market.

There are stocks I bought 2006 that are still in profit, no matter what happened in 2008 and co,

The stocks where I lost money where all speculative plays.

I do a bit of both today,

I still have my long term portfolio I hardly sell fromm, I get dividends which I re-invest from that,


I have my trading portfolio with another broker, I've made some quick money with that but I usually transfer money from there to long term.

There's no point. Being sentimental and abusive here, it doesn't help with the way you guys are perceived here,

There is a big lot of wisdom on SMN, try and be open and listen to both sides of every story,

there are like shock absorbers in cars. the bridge is in sections. and balanced on large pillars. there has to be some "cushioning" between the sections and the pillars else it will develop cracks and collapse

the "absorbers" is what they are supposed to be changing when they do their so-called renovation. your guess is as good as mine if they did


when u change your car absorbers, it has a lot more spring and bounce compared with when its damaged and your car body keeps hitting the tires and ground.


if that bridge is going to collapse it wont vibrate, it will develop large cracks in the concrete and come down

Yes, you are right. But if the vibration becomes excessive (high amplitudes) or extends over a long period (fatigue) you can get catastrophic collapse

This Fashola is definitely hyper obsessed about Okadas. He does't want to hear the word "okada" for in hear at all at all. The rich man can afford to move about in his limousine albeit on clogged roads. The only means of transport the poor can afford is okada. Or does he want the poor to walk all the days of his life? Fashola hates the poor. He shuts down markets (Ladipo, etc) demolishes markets (Alaba Suru etc) removes okada from the roads, etc. How does this guy want the poor to survive in this Nigeria of today? Na so so new new laws everyday. The law is made by man for man and not man for the law. However, whether he likes it or not God has said it "The poor shall always be with us". He can never and I say never wipe out the poor.
