Hello all, so I arrived Toronto just now, passed border, immigration, collected SIN and waiting for RobertQ bus to take me to London.

And a wonderful Nairalander offered (infact 2 people) to take me from the bus park in London to the hotel provided for me by my school for 2 nights.

I will give full details of everything when I settle in my hotel later today. God bless nairalanders, the show of love is out of this world. Infact someone even offered to drive all the way from London to Toronto to come pick me from the airport to my hotel.

God bless Nairaland, God bless seun. Thank you once again to all those who have contributed on this thread, God bless you all.

Nice one bro! Thank God for journey mercies.

I may be wrong, but from what I understand is that LOE is Letter of Explanation which clarifies the issues of visa denial, while SOP is Statement of Purpose, I believe we all know what that is. So my question is,for those denied TRV, do you need to write both SOP and LOE?

LOE would do to avoid repetition. Because what you want to explain is what you wrote before in the SOP.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hotcakept2: 1:25pm On Oct 17, 2018
Naijaforeigner:

I only wrote SOP and LOE cos I noticed everyone uses both on here. To the best of my knowledge, CIC only requires LOE.

When I did mine, I only submitted LOE which detailed (1) why I chose the course and the school and linking it to why it was beneficial to me and my country / family business (2) what was expected of me as a student. (3) stated how I would survive in Canada
Simply put, my LOE was a combination of LOE and SOP.

However, if someone had been delayed, they can attach both SOP and LOE written separately. The SOP will clearly state why they chose the course, it’s benefits, the school, why Canada and so forth and then the LOE will specifically address the concerns raised by the VO in their last application.

I dont think there is any crime in submitting extra documents.

P.S most documents we all attach are extra and not demanded for by CIC but to be on the safe side we just add them.

Before you get admission, you must have submitted your SOP.

Majority of delays always have "purpose of visit" in them. I am just wondering won't it be repetition because in the SOP one would still have to write his/her "purpose of visit" to Canada. Make the VO no go use vex delay person again for "stressing" them grin

Try applying to any of the colleges in Canada, you can go for PGD OR PGC. Once you get your admission, prepare all documents, most importantly your SOP and LOE and apply for visa. If no one has gotten TRV with HND before now, then you are about to be the first. There is no harm in trying. Shalom.

Modified

Better still, look for a program related to yours in any of the colleges that has opportunity of internship. This will be what you will emphasise in your LOE.

SOP and LOE are they not suppose to be same?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by hotcakept2: 10:13pm On Oct 16, 2018
Meanwhile, guys i thought SOP and LOE are suppose to be the samething. I noticed some people submit the two. How come?

That's even better. If it's just both of you alone that holds the signatory to both corporate accounts then no need of even transferring the said amount to your account. Just a letter from the bank stating the signatories to the account will do. Because parent sponsorship is not doubted like other types of Sponsorship. Your father cannot leave you to suffer in canada. But if you both are not the only signatories then he can transfer your funds to your personal account and state it in his sponsorhip letter that he has done that just to show that you have uninterrupted access to your required funds. Goodluck. You can ask gurus in the house for their take on it. But you're good since your father is your sponsor.

Thank you so much man!

Frankrobbn1 bbclue jnyuwa02 what do you guys think about this?

Kriff:
Well depending on your relationship with the other signatory to the account. Also, is it a corporate account? Or maybe a dead parent's account that both of you have access to? (Just trying to get the real picture of that account. I'm not wishing you anything bad oo). The person can transfer the said amount to your account and do the writing justice in the Sponsorship letter. Just let me know the type of relationship and account because there might be more to it than just transferring the money to your account.

Sponsor is my dad

Signatory to both Corporate account

Kriff:
Since he will be handling your living expenses then it's advisable that he should transfer your one year living expenses to your personal account. It's better that way. He will just write it in his sponsorship letter that he has transferred that to show commitment. Then no need of writing about the whole 1000 CAD per month (Its not advisable). If you do all these and show Proof of relationship then I'm sure you won't be having issues with Financials.

For assets, I will advise you to go through this link https://www.nairaland.com/2557850/travelling-canada-part-9/198#41016878 Read it very well and digest it. And it will be good if you follow the advise. Check for number 3. It will help tackle Personal assets issues.

Regarding completing pre-pharmacy courses, please try as much as possible to stress on it in your SOP. In short, work on your SOP very well. Why are you going for pharmacy since you studied Biochemistry in your First degree? Do you have a good number of working experience in that field? I will advise you should also add Letter of Explanation (Explaining how you've solved your last denial reasons).

I hope I've tried. You're welcome.

Bro in my own case, i am a signatory to my sponsors account. Is it advisable if my sponsor transfer money into my personal account then he will now write that he has done so to show commitment or I should just leave it like that then he would write I have access to the money in his account which would cover my feeding and tuition. What do you think?

Guy, dont you think you venting too much..............there are all calibres of persons on this thread.........the young fresh leavers of high school, fresh graduates with no experience, and the advanced category.

Whist some questions are typically lame and unnecessary, silence will be the best answer. Some people are truly naive; while others are really ignorant and lazy.

However, hostile remarks seems like transferring aggression of delayed approval to both the naive, the ignorant and the lazy ones.

Canadabyfire and Agbons101 don't mind that makano guy. This is not the first time he is tackling me. He and one ralfudoh guy have tackled me once but I just ignored because I was not in the mood for bullsh*t that day. If not, I would tore them into shreds! grin grin Now this same makano guy and now senatorkolade are tackling me for asking a question. I would have ignored again but see the way they are talking sef. How people like me will bring assignments here bla bla bla.....i decided to go through their old posts to know what gave them the effrontery to be tackling people anyhow. I can't stop laughing with what I saw especially from makano. I noticed he also asked the same question which he tackled me for as at part 14. Since part 1 - 13 threads already existed (which I am so sure the question was already answered)

Why didn't he take the pain to go through all parts at that time to get the answer to his question since he is "hardworking" and "intelligent"? Pls let's behave ourselves here. We are all here to learn and share TRUE information.

Makano, senatorkolade even kendrick213 (just saw your post now) I am sure you all saw how Kriff responded to my question. If you all can't respond like that I will suggest you all leave here and stop tackling people. Peace grin grin grin grin grin grin

How can one order for Gmcs notes and how much does it cost?

Hey guys i learnt that anyone above 25 years of age have a slim chance of getting Canada study permit.

Also anyone going for PGD. How true is this?

Meanwhile....You all that have been approved try and add your ages and state if it's masters or pdg you are going for. Thanks!

Congrats to all those approved.

Please you guys should try and always indicate if its your first or second application or more to motivate others.

Not so true tho. The only naija lady in my program was June, and she got her TRV last week of August. I even know an online applicant for August who got his application approved before his program started in September. Anyway, it all depends on the VO that handles the application. Like you have rightly said, paper route is the best for Najia. You know the outcome of your application within 3 to 4 weeks, medical mail or refusal mail!

We are still waiting for your diary of your journey and experiences in Canada! grin grin

No infact all other extra documents go with the LOE in the client information section of the profile. So you are good.

Bro....just said i should say this. With the way you help fellow nairalanders on here i was surprised to see you say on previous pages that you are also expecting to hear from the VO. is this your first application or second? And what school did you apply to?

Yes, I have deferred.. Next plan is to wait to hear from them against Winter Semester-January.

This one you have deferred, what if they grant you visa before September 18 what will you do?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by hotcakept2: 4:47pm On Aug 28, 2018
mightyola:

Yea, will probably defer. Although I am hearing something about 18th Sept deadline, but i didn't get the memo. Classes they say start Sept 5th, and deadline to register for courses on the 11th if am correct.

But am hopeful.

I remember when filling form i saw "Expiration of acceptance" 18th of September. I don't know why fanshawe college is now saying after August 29th one has to defer. Meanwhile, what would happen if one defers. Will the VO still go ahead with approving the TRV?

Where are the approvals?. So quiet lately!!!

I was pushing to resume in September, but they declined. I am to send a copy of my visa to the international office as of yesterday 20th of August, and since I do not have a visa yet, and I sent them an email pleading for more time till September, they only extended it till 29th of August.

They sent me an initial email stating they wont push the 20th of August deadline for me, but someone later sent another email, giving me till 29th of August to send a copy of my student Visa. Are you a June online applicant?

I am a July applicant o. Offline tinz!

Apparently you missed the part where one of the Guru's advised me to write the school (Fanshawe) and plead for more time, which i did and they gave me till the 29th of August. Anything else!!

See what you said here na!

mightyola:
Seeing this for the first time. Thanks for the info.

I did as you suggested with my medicals and it has just been updated as "Passed".

I also emailed my School like you suggested and got a rather harsh response, stating they won't be able to give me more time to hear from CIC regarding my application.

So i might have to defer the second time.. sadly

Lagos replied me. It will end with praise. My school has given me a deadline for 29th August, otherwise I will have to defer to Fall (January)

I thought you said before that they gave you till today after that you will have to defer! How come you are saying August 29th now?

Please i have a question to ask...

All of you that did medicals before even granted your visas

Did you just decide to do it or you were called by them to do your medicals?
