see,if you have really been good to her in the past,I'm sure it wont be much of an issue.Although girls love gifts a lot,esp on birthdays,there is no harm in explaining to her in the sweetest way possible that you are low on cash and promise that you will make it up to her. If she aint a gold digger she will understand.dissapearing or avoiding her because of this will only make matters worse.

I met mine during my NYSC,at a birthday party.We exchanged numbers and even discovered that we lived in the same area back home,which was rather surprising cos I used to pass in front of his house all the time,but never knew him.Though I was going out with somebody else as at that time,we kept communicating on phone.

I had a boyfriend who was way too possessive during my university days.As soon as I went for my NYSC,I totally forgot about him,and it was not as if I had met someone else.I felt like I had just been released from a cage,and I let myself fly.This was a relationship that was on for about 5yrs.After my NYSC,I tried to make it work,but it was too obvious that we just couldnt be together anymore.
Learn to trust your partner,and remember that she has a mind of her own too.It makes her feel respected and comfortable with you.

How 'hard-to-get' should a girl play? Especially when she knows that she will eventually hit it off with the guy. A friend of mine met a guy two weeks before he was supposed to travel back to the U.S, and within a week,they were already going out.Other friends of ours were really pissed with her cos they felt she portrayed herself as being cheap and desperate.

She explained that he had most qualities she wanted in a guy,and that the guy in question wanted to know his position before travelling back to the U.S,so that he wouldnt need to hook up with any other girl.
