However, investigations by THISDAY showed that Remita was not an agent or company, but the software platform used for the transfers, while SystemSpecs, whose Managing Director is Mr. John Obaro, is the owner of e-Payment/e-Collection solution.

The company’s website further revealed that the chairman of SystemSpecs is the former Director General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, Dr. Christopher Kolade.

Other directors of the company include a former Executive Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Mr. Ernest Ndukwe, Mr. Emmanuel Ocholi, Mr. ‘Deremi Atanda and Dr. Emmanuel Eze

Fayose is only publicly displaying his foolery. He is an executive governor of a state who is only popular for going round the street buying pepper , ewedu and roasted meats. I don't know where in a sane society such a figure would be more popular in news for street scavenging than projects commissioning. I am yet to read a news about Fayose commissioning a people oriented project and the guy has spent over a year in government.

This is an indication that PMB/CBN took the right decision. Any economic decision that makes US/EU frown at us or report us to any body is surely good for our own economy.

I think it will be the other way round actually i.e Fayemi will be very happy he got mineral resources rather than foreign affairs. Fayemi has gained a very important and critical portfolio under a government that is very serious, even desperate, about diversifying Nigeria's economy and earning power away from oil. Agriculture and effective commercial mining of Nigeria's minerals endowment are two of the fastest way to do this.

Buhari will be too painfully aware he must break the vicious cycle of Nigeria's over-reliance on oil that has now mired us in an economic downturn. For the challenges facing Nigeria today, I don't see how foreign affairs can be deemed as important as mineral resources.
