PoliticsOOU Is The Headquarter Of Yahoo Boys In Nigeria – Lady Says by Hotfrom9ja(op): 3:15pm On Jun 05, 2019
A Nlgerian lady took to twitter to reveal that Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU in Ogun state is the headquarters of the activities of Yahoo Boys in Nigeria.
The Nigerian lady identified has @ebunjaspa96 shared a post on popular micro blogging platform Twitter, in which she stated that the tertiary institution has a very high count of internet fraudsters in the country.
According to her, if anyone attends the Onabisi Onabanjo University and does not get involved with practicing ‘yahoo yahoo’, then such person has a high resistance level for immoralities that would prevent future possibilities of ever perpetrating the crime.
“If you are in OOU and you didn’t do yahoo yahoo till you graduate, my brother forget it, There’s nothing that will make you do Yahoo in life.” she said.

While reacting to her opinion, some Nigerians on the platform also supported her claims
So true ma’am, I had lot of friends doing it and were comfortable but I never saw it as an option. So anytime I think abt it, the thing just doesn’t move me” one Michael Naya said.
Nas said:
When i was in oou, most of my hall mates did it but just wondering why i never had interest in it. Oou is wild and fun.
Then someone said LAUTECH can also make the list:
Unilag the learn from OOU and Lautech. My Hall mate at ayegbami kept saying his 1st car must come from yahoo

CelebritiesForbes Named Rihanna As The Richest Female Musician In The World by Hotfrom9ja(op): 10:08am On Jun 05, 2019
Rihanna has been named the wealthiest female musician in the world, according to Forbes.

At 31 years old, she has amassed a $600 million fortune, putting her ahead of fellow music superstars including #Madonna ($570 million), #CélineDion ($450 million), and #Beyoncé ($400 million)

But it’s not music or concert sales that make up the bulk of Rihanna’s wealth. Instead, it’s her partnership with French luxury goods giant LVMH, who co-owns Fenty Beauty.

The makeup brand launched in September 2017 and became a viral success with a reported $100 million in sales in its first few weeks.

After only 15 months, Fenty Beauty has reportedly generated an estimated $570 million in revenue and is worth more than $3 billion overall.

PoliticsBride Mocked After She Shared Her Traditional Wedding Photos by Hotfrom9ja(op): 4:43pm On Jun 04, 2019
A new bride took to Facebook to share photos from her traditional wedding ceremony. But rather than receive congratulatory messages, the Igbo bride was mocked for several reasons.

Toochi Ikpozu told of how her romance story “started like a play” and “discouragement was the order of the day”. However, she and her groom overcame all and had a successful traditional marriage.

After she shared her story, web users mocked her makeup. Some mocked her outfit and cake, and some mocked the ceremony and wondered what part of Igbo culture expects the couple to sit on a mat on their traditional wedding day.

Some even went as far as saying the bride’s makeup must have been done by the groom’s ex.

Web users mock excited bride after she shared her traditional wedding photos online. A look at older photos of the bride on her page shows she’s a beautiful woman who simply had the wrong makeup done on her big day.

Nairaland GeneralBeggar Reject Sachet Water And Demand For Bottled Water After Asking Hawker by Hotfrom9ja(op): 11:52pm On Jun 03, 2019
Facebook user, Martin Beck Nworah has taken to Facebook to recount his interesting experience with a beggar who had a strong sense of entitlement.

According to Martin Beck, the beggar pleaded for water from a water and drink hawker and was told to go across the road and collect the free “pure water” in the normal sachet. But he declined and kept nagging because he wanted the plastic water.

“Two things made me snap this picture on Saturday at Obalende.

I was waiting for my partner to link up for our Lekki movement to gather interviews for Tales Of Nigerians when the guy in this picture came to stand beside me.

The woman who dropped that bowel of beverages ran around to sell to people and run back. So I kept an eye over her wares while waiting for my partner to arrive.

This guy spoke in Yoruba (I understand better Yoruba now) and was begging the woman to give him water to drink. She told him to go across the road and collect a free “pure water” in the normal sachet. But he didn’t want to go, he wanted the plastic water. So he kept nagging.

He stood there and saw the woman running around, yet he didn’t extend a hand to help her. He kept on complaining how she doesn’t want to help him. I asked him if he had any deformity or issues and he said no. I told him to go across the street and collect the pure water as the woman told him but he said no.

He looked really battered from his looks, more like a street guy. When the woman got tired of the guy standing there, she ran across the street to get the water and give it to the guy.

Clearly, from the little exchange we had there, this poor guy needed help. He wanted water. But he was a beggar with a strong sense of entitlement. I really don’t know where that came from.

Oh, after getting the water, he started asking for a drink…LOL.

But I think I understand something about being poor, because it is a background I can relate with.

Many times, we feel everybody else owes us something. We blame everyone else for our shortcomings and bad lucks because they are the witches and wizards stopping our shine. But bring a little task and they won’t do it. They will easily get tired and lazy around.

This guy is just a reflection of what our larger society is gradually becoming, where people hide behind their keypads to pass judgment and wield strong feelings of entitlement for reasons best known to them.

He could’ve elected to help this woman look after her drinks but he didn’t. He could’ve gone across the road to collect the water but he didn’t.

Well, as the son of Nebu, there are few things I can publicly complain about. Nobody owes me anything to make my life awesome. It is my responsibility and when I find kind hearted people who support me, I am deeply grateful to the universe.

Till we get to the Promised Land, I shall be waiting for when you will pass me a glass of water and thank God for the gift of grace for the race.”

TV/MoviesIyawo Naira Marley What You Should Know About The Newly Released Nollywood Movie by Hotfrom9ja(op): 11:42pm On Jun 03, 2019
A new movie, titled, ‘Iyawo Naira Marley’, was released on YouTube over the weekend raising speculations that it had to do with the embattled Nigerian musician, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley.

It was reportedly produced by the popular Yoruba actress and filmmaker, Temitope Solaja, and it features the big names like Femi Adebayo, Bidemi Kosoko, Ayo Adesanya and many others.

According to Premiumtime, The producer said the film tells the story of a successful young lady who is jilted by many men who cross her path and would go to any length to find true love.

It is however unclear what the motive behind the film title was but critics have said the producer was only catching in on Naira Marley’s online buzz to market her movie.

The movie, which explores themes of cybercrime, love and theft, has garnered over 20,000 views since its release.
