The Federal Government has threatened to sanction a foreign media outlet, CNN, over its report on the alleged shooting of End SARS protesters by soldiers at the Lekki toll plaza on October 20, 2020.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday described the report by the foreign news medium as “irresponsible journalism”.

He described the event of October 20, 2020 as a “massacre without bodies.”

Mohammed also insisted that not a single body has been produced or a single family has come out to claim their family member was killed at the Lekki toll gate.

The minister also alleged that CNN relied on social media video without verification to produce its report.

“This should earn CNN a serious sanction for irresponsible reporting,” he said.

A few hours ago, popular musician Naira Marley cancelled his planned protest against police brutality and had a live Instagram chat with a police spokesman, Frank Mba.
Mba answered questions from some Nigerians and Naira Marley on SARS, which has been facing criticisms lately.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday the 16th September 2020, unveiled the Nigeria@60 logo and theme for the country’s Diamond Jubilee celebration on October 1st.

But it was later discovered that the logo was first designed and unveiled by a Russian diamond mining company, Alrosa, in 2017. It was published on Forbes edition of August 3, 2017 with the headline: “Russian Mining Giant Unveils 51-Carat ‘Dynasty’ Diamond.”

It was reported that Alrosa unveiled the exact logo, describing it as a collection of five diamonds produced at its cutting and polishing facilities.

It is obvious that President Muhammadu Buhari administration, is a government of plagiarism. No genuine ideas at all! They copy almost anything and everything. Same way they copied their NEXT LEVEL campaign slogan and logo from Winthrop University-School Partnership Network in 2018.

Sadly, they have never copied any good thing. They always go for something that will embarrass the whole country. SMH

Why not look for a professional graphics designer that will design a unique logo for the Nigeria@60 Jubilee. Besides, what are we celebrating independent for? Independent from what exactly? Anyways, let me not dive into that for now.

A little boy from Imo State has gone viral after he locally manufactured an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) that dispenses cash.

In the video which is now trending on social media, onlookers who spoke in Igbo language could be heard asking the little boy to show them how the ATM works.

The boy then turned the ATM on, pressed some buttons, inserted something that looks like an ATM card and the machine began dispensing money.

It is still unclear what he used in ‘manufacturing’ the handmade Automated Teller Machine but one thing noticeable about his craft is the fact that it shares several similarities with an actual ATM – It has lights, uses an ATM card and also dispenses cash when some buttons are pressed.

As at the time of filing this report, details of the boy are still scanty. An update will be made to that effect as soon as his details emerge.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Louisa Nwobodo has died at the age of 78.

Nwobodo died on Sunday September 13, shortly after collapsing in her car at St. Mulumbas Catholic Church, New haven, Enugu.

It was learnt that she was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed dead. Her corpse has been deposited at the morgue pending conclusion of her burial arrangement.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Kiddwaya, has spoken about the admiration Ozo has for him.

Susan Waya, mother of Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, evicted housemate, Kiddwaya, has finally reached out to ex-housemate, Erica.

Mrs Waya, who spoke with Erica on phone, described the evicted BBNaija housemate as a “sweet lady.”

President Muhammadu Buhari’s praise singer, Dauda Kahutu popularly known as Rarara, has received not less than N57m to release a new song in favour of the President, according to Sahara Reporters.


Kahutu got the funds less than 48 hours after asking for money to release a song in favour of the President.

The singer, who was in 2019 appointed as National Director of Music for the Buhari 2019 Presidential Support Committee, on Friday in a video on social media solicited funds, asking each person to donate N1,000 before he releases the song.

He also said financing the new song will show that there was no suffering and that Buhari’s government was doing well.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Digital Media, Tolu Ogunlesi and some former Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemates, have reacted to Erica’s disqualification.

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates were addressed by Big Brother following some of the actions that went down in the house after the Saturday night party.

Big Brother played a video showing Erica’s outburst for all housemates to see while he called out Neo for also provoking Vee. Neo’s actions resulted in him getting a strong and final warning from Big Brother.

However, for Erica, her journey in the BBNaija house came to an abrupt end as she was disqualified from the reality show.

Erica’s disqualification became inevitable as she already had two strikes from Big Brother and a final warning. Following the sad yet expected announcement, fellow housemates were left shaken as they bid farewell to Erica.

Big Brother instructed her to leave the BBNaija premises with immediate effect.

Police operatives attached to the Anambra state command Special Anti Robbery Squad(SARS) have arrested three men for allegedly abducting and killing a 34-year-old man identified as Henry Okam in Okija, an area in the state.

Disclosing this to newsmen, Haruna Mohammed, the spokesperson of the state police command, gave the names of the suspects as Obasi Faith Ezinne, 23, Mbaitolu Imo State; Ntomchukwu Anabaraonye, 33, of Okija and Abuchi Obinna 'm' aged 26 years of Ihiala.

According to him, the suspects had on August 30, allegedly abducted Okam, who is from Okija in Ihiala LGA, killed him with a pump-action gun and subsequently buried him in a shallow grave.

''The suspects who voluntarily confessed to the crime, took operatives to a thick forest in Ihiala where the decomposing body of the victim was exhumed and recovered to the mortuary for autopsy after it was certified dead by a medical doctor.

Consequently, the pomp action used by the suspects in perpetrating the henious crime including the victim's phones were also recovered in their posession and registered as exhibits'' the suspect said

Haruna said the case is under investigation after which the suspects and their accomplices would be brought to book.

A Nigerian soldier Emmanuel on Saturday, September 5, posted photos of his colleagues killed in battle with Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri, Borno State.



Recall that at least 20 soldiers have been killed and several others remain missing after separate attacks by Boko Haram's Islamic State-backed faction in Borno last week.

Believe it or not, I hadn’t really even noticed how big Tiwa’s eyes were in that picture especially compared to her eyes prior. So, to answer your questions, I of course took to researching because that is what I do, and I am happy to tell you today that I have found the answer to your questions.

Why are Tiwa Savage’s eyes so big?

Believe it or not, this is a true-but-strange fashion trend that has been discussed by several fashion magazines.

What Tiwa Savage is wearing in her eyes is something called a CIRCLE LENS.


Circle lenses according to the New York Times are contacts made to cover not only your iris but part of the white part of your eyes to make them look big and doe-like. They come in both regular and unexpected colors, some with special designs on them. And they're gaining popularity like you wouldn't believe.

One person who brought the circle lens to mainstream media many many years ago was American singer, Lady Gaga after she featured them in her music video for hit single, Bad Romance.


Since then, the lens found prominence in Asia and Canada and has since spread worldwide. While it is not something that we see a lot of, it is something that Tiwa has seemingly taken an interest to. Why that is, nobody knows.

Her fans have had mixed reactions since she published the below video on her Instagram page.


Some like the overexaggeratedly big eyes saying that it makes her look “younger and more innocent”, while some others have criticized the lenses for being too much.

Either way, they are interesting to look at to say the least and if this is the new fashion trend Tiwa wants to get behind, then more power to her.

A 42-year-old cannabis farmer identified as Clement Akor who was arrested by operatives of Kogi state’s command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has begged for his life to be taken rather than his 10-hectare cannabis plantation being destroyed.
The father of 6 who was arrested alongside his accomplice David Ameh at Enabo village in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State, stated that he has invested so much in his farm to lose it.

Admitting that he is aware of the law banning the sale of Cannabis Sativa, Akor said;

”I am the owner of this farm. I learnt it in Yoruba land. When I cultivated one last year, it was stolen. So it is this year I bought seed from Yoruba land to plant new ones before I was caught.

“Indian hemp business is luck. In this farm, I can get many bags here. I do sell one bag for N20,000 depending on the area am selling it. It could be more. I spent N12,000 for labour in cultivating this farm.

It better you people kill me than destroy this farmland.“This is my business. I spent a lot to allow this plant to grow up to this level. In the next two weeks, I am supported to harvest it.

Now you people have come here to destroy it. Just kill me, so that I won’t see you people destroying what I have laboured for.

I am looking for money because I am illiterate. I don’t want to engage in armed robbery or kidnapping that is why I am into this business of Indian hemp”.

NDLEA commander, Alfred Adewumi confirmed the arrest of the suspects and also disclosed that they were nabbed through intelligence. Adewumi said;

“Seeing they say is believing. What you are seeing today is certainly more than three football Field but together. I would make you make your judgment. Just look around, that is the huge expanse.

We just left the first farm which is equally a huge cannabis plantation.” This is very unfortunate. I am worried about this unfortunate development.

I have thought that Kogi State will not descend to this point. As things stand today, it will be direct self-denial to begin to say that Kogi State is not planting Cannabis Sativa because the evidence itself suggests the fact that there is high planting of Cannabis Sativa in Kogi State. Sadly Kogi State can also now begin to rank among those state where you find Cannabis Sativa plantations.

“We will not relent in fighting against illicit use of a drug that is why we took the fight to their doorstep. Kogi State is the gateway to a man other states in the north, south, east and western parts of this country.

“I had promised at the point of my deployment to Kogi State that I won’t give room for anybody to turn Kogi State to a drug cultivation State. And because of that, we have spread out our tentacles, reach out as far as possible with intelligence gathering, this result is why you are seeing today.”

The NDLEA commander added that all the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Founder, Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet TB Joshua has advised Lionel Messi not to leave Barcelona bitter and offended.
Messi, most decorated Barcelona player is no longer interested in playing for the Spanish side.

He made up his mind to leave the club after Barcelona were comprehensively beaten by Bayern Munich 8-2 in the last quarter-final of the Champions League.

The Argentine had missed training on three occasions and even refused to do a Coronavirus test.

But TB Joshua, on his twitter handle said it would not be good for Messi to leave Barcelona the way he wanted to do right now.

He said it was impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship offended.

“It is not good advice for Lionel Messi to leave Barcelona bitter and offended. It is impossible to establish a healthy relationship with a person who left a previous relationship bitter and offended.

“This is my candid advice to Messi. History is our boss,” he tweeted.

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has approved November 1st of every year as the National Youth Day, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, has said.

According to the minister, the President made this known during a Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

Announcing that the day has been set aside for the celebration of Nigerian youths, Dare tweeted:-

“Today, President Buhari in Council approved November 1st every year as the National Youth Day to celebrate, draw attention to and find solutions to the issues that affect the Youth. Mr. President as again demonstrated his commitment to supporting youth-focused policies. Thank You.”

Although the meeting was virtual, Buhari presided from the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja while some ministers participated virtually from their offices.

The meeting, which started at about 10am, also has Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in attendance.
