Manchester United are reportedly prepared to pay £52 million to sign Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, who has been earmarked as a replacement for Raphael Varane.
Varane is likely to leave Old Trafford in the summer and as a result, Red Devils are on the hunt for a new centre-back to replace the Frenchman.

According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Man United have identified Bremer as a top summer target.

The Premier League club are willing to pay the Brazilian centre-back’s full release clause without any negotiations.

Meanwhile, Juventus, who signed Bremer for around £38 million from Torino in 2022, could decide to let go of their defender as they are believed to be in need of cash.

The Serie A club already have youngster Dean Huijsen, who is out on loan at AS Roma, to replace Bremer next season.

1. Habibat Jinad

This week, Nigerian actress Habibat Jinad sparked conversation on social media after she made some revelations about bleaching and body-shaming being a thing in Nollywood. During an interview, she spoke about how her self-esteem was completely bashed when her senior colleague, Mide Martins, allegedly insulted her because of her skin, and compared her to a monkey while on set. She said:

HABIBAT JINAD: Mide Martins calling me a monkey got me. Before then, when you're on set, they'll be like you're too dark. So when she now said that I now said let me change and that's what led me to buy bleaching cream.


2. Tiwa Savage

When Tiwa Savage uploaded this picture of herself in 2015, the amount of lashings she got not only for the outfit but also for her skin and complexion were out of the world. People insulted the color of her feet, her legs, the way it "didn't match her face". So much was said about the picture so much so that Tiwa had to respond to all the comments with a photo of bleaching cream and the caption "Ore na to begin dey bleach o"

3. Sean Tizzle


Another Nigerian musician who got shamed a lot for his skin is singer, Sean Tizzle. In fact, during an interview with The Net NG in 2016, Sean Tizzle walked out of the interview when the interviewer asked him if he lightens his skin. In response, Sean Tizzle said: "I don’t know why would bring this question out" before putting up the F U sign and walking off the set. Online and offline, Sean Tizzle got dragged for his skin. It was non-stop.


4. Seyi Shay

Sometimes, a person who has been skin-shamed is the same person who does the skin-shaming. That was the case when Tiwa Savage, a woman who herself has been the victim of skin-shaming got into a fight with Seyi Shay at a beauty salon and skin-shamed her. Tiwa said of Seyi Shay "Look at you. You look half-dead. Look at your skin. You know what? For a clear skin you need to mind your business. That's what will clear up your fucking ugly skin".


5. Jaywon

The final singer on today's list is the singer Jaywon who uploaded a picture of himself wearing a camo shirt and green shorts unto his social media and immediately began getting dragged for the color of his legs. Jaywon was heavily skin shamed with people saying "Your leg doesn’t even rhyme with your face .. your leg looking like roasted plantain .. say no to skin bleaching".

In response, Jaywon said: "Even person wey no Dey rub cream dem say e Dey bleach…. your papa just fail cuz is obvious you no get home training abeg carry your negative life comot for my page."

Skin-shaming is a horrible thing to do. Even if you have questions about a person's skin or a comment about it, please try and give it to the person if you know them with love and respect. There's no need to ever insult or shame another person because of their skin. If you yourself no go like am, no do am to another person. Please, let's stop skin and body shaming.

Nollywood actor Ayoola Ayoola is opening up about the depression he felt after becoming a father, and how it led him to almost take his own life. Here's what he said about it, and how he feels about it now.

Speaking about the depression that followed after he became a father, Ayoola said:

AYOOLA AYOOLA: The time it happened, I wasn't prepared to be a father. I didn't know what I wanted from life. Youthful exuberance at the time, I was still trying to find my feet, trying to figure out what I want from life, why I was here. I mean, how to navigate the waters of life, I didn't know and I'm now supposed to cater to somebody? Somebody's life can be made or ruined because of me? Like, direct blood. How? My father is a pastor, I'm the first child, and then there was that disappointment that I felt. That I felt like I've let my people down. Having a child out of wedlock? At what age? Your father is a pastor o! Of course my dad was not happy with me at the time. I got very depressd. I almost took my life. It was one of the lowest moments of my life.

I was so blinded by the seemingly negative sides that I didn't see the blessing in it. My dad asked me a question, "how are you going to take care of this child? We're here for you but do you have a plan?" Things were just upside down for me at that point. I remember staying in my room for five days, not coming out, not eating, or anything. And somehow, Victor Ademofe, a trumpeter, got an inkling in his spirit to come to me. So he left where he was somewhere on the mainland and came all the way. He came all the way, came to the room, and held my hands asking "what's wrong?" In tears, I was bawling, and I don't know how I articulated it, but he said "I know, I've sensed it in my spirit, now let's go eat." Reluctantly, I took a shower and went to eat. I didn't automatically feel okay, it was a gradual process. After that, I remember Samklef had a studio next to me, and I would go there just to be around people. It was one of those trips back from his place, what if I just end it right now? I was actually in the middle of the road, and you know when you're calculating when to cross, I deliberately miscalculated so I could be hit. But then, the fear of going to hell made me move away so the car only brushed me. All that happened, and now I look at the little handsome young man [his son] and I think really? This is what I was about to miss? Whose life I was about to destroy? Sometimes it's good not to take actions in a moment. It's a difficult thing to do but sometimes, that tiny little second can change your life.

Popular Nollywood actress Rita Dominic got married two years ago after over 45 years of being single. Her marriage was met with a lot of fan-fair and excitement, and now, during a new interview with Joy FM, Rita Dominic is opening up about why it took this long for her to marry. Here's what she said.

During the interview, Rita was asked "How's marriage so far?" to which she replied:

RITA DOMINIC: It's nice. It's interesting. I'm blushing. It's nice. It's been two years in April for the traditional marriage. We were friends for a long time, then we found love, then we dated, and we got married.

"Why did you wait so long?"

RITA DOMINIC: Why did I wait so long? I wanted to do it and be sure that I was doing it for the right reasons and not for the reasons y'know that stem from societal pressure.

"Okay, was society giving pressure about the timing of it?"

RITA DOMINIC: Of course! Even before I got married, the pressure was there for years. But uhm, I just turned a deaf ear.

"Cuz this was way after 45 and I'm sure people were like Rita what's going on?"

RITA DOMINIC: Yeah, they were doing that but at the end of the day, I will marry the man of my dreams and not the man society dreams for me because if anything goes wrong tomorrow, I will be the one left to pack up the pieces, and not the society. So I will do it when I want to do it at the right time, and I believe I did it at the right time with the right person.

"Why did you think it took that long? Was it because there were not too many good men or right people around you?"

RITA DOMINIC: I met quite a number of people but maybe we just didn't happen, or we just didn't work out and I don't believe in forcing things. If it's not working, if you guys are not compatible, there's no point in forcing things. And then you go into it, and then tomorrow you're out of it. For what reason?

"Was the fact that you're such a huge public figure also make it more difficult to get married?"

RITA DOMINIC: I don't think so. I think that's even when you have a lot of people wanting to marry you.

"If you had to give anybody marriage advice after 2 years, what would you tell them?"

RITA DOMINIC: Marry your friend and make sure your goals and dreams are aligned.

Zubby Michaels and Timini have been trending since a clip from their tv show together Ebuka Turns Up Africa showcased Zubby saying he'll buy Timini in response to Timini saying he's the biggest actor in Africa.

Now, during a new interview with Cool FM, Timini is doubling down on what he said and listing out 7 reasons why he still insists he's bigger than Zubby. Here's what Timini said.

During the interview Timini was asked "Why do you think you're a bigger actor than Zubby?" to which he said:

TIMINI EGBUSON: So the thing about it is if you watch the show, I wasn't talking about Zubby. I speak my shit everytime everywhere I go. I consider myself the biggest actor. It wasn't about bigger than Zubby, it was about bigger than everybody else. Do you understand? So Zubby took it personal which is obvious because he's also an actor that thinks that he's big. At the end of the day, what really matters is that we're all sha still feeding our families. But if we now decide to now break it down statistically speaking in terms of (1) the qualities of movies that we shoot, (2) the range of movies that we shoot, (3) the number of movies that we've shot, (4) the box office records, (5) popularity among the industry experts and people that are actually moving the industry forward, and (6) years of relevance and (7) years of consistency. If we put them together, there's no way that Zubby will score higher than me. 100 percent.

I'm also just going to say I'm a very big fan of Zubby. 100 percent. Like I support his work, I'm on his page, I am awed by the way he carries his brand. Another thing is that what I'm fighting for is actors on the map in general. There's not a lot of us that are actually living like celebrities and living like superstars and making this thing look as glamorous as it should be. Because everywhere else in the world, it's music and acting. Before this whole Zubby/Timini thing, when last did you hear actors disturbing social media for a number of days? Zubby has that star power, you can't take that away from him.

The problem will now be to bring it out that this is my house. Now that woman that you say the man is moving into her house, many of those people, the only people that know them are their family and their friends. So if a woman is living in a place, you're living somewhere else, and you have met each other and you have decided "that place you dey, e go better o!", then you move in. Nobody needs to know. But when you, the woman, now says publicly "he moved into my house", then you're the one now creating problems for yourself. So there is nothing wrong with a man moving into a woman's house because once you marry, two has become one.

What is feminism? Feminism is everybody should be treated equally based on the value they bring, that's feminism. It has nothing to do with relationship. So no matter how successful you are, once you enter inside the house, you're a wife. Once the two of you come together, two have become one. It doesn't matter who brings the money. I am not the man because I'm the provider. I'm the man because it is my responsibility. The word husband is housebound, it's to keep the place together, to make sure everything is structured, everything is done the way it's supposed to be done. Because in this world right now, a lot of men are groaning under the load of financial this, take care of wife, take care of children, take care of family of wife, of your own family, they are dying. Many of them have erectile dysfunction, many of them are under stress.

In the said video, the Nigerian singer was on an Instagram live chat with a few of his fans.

While he was talking, he stopped abruptly as he witnessed a power outage. Immediately as a result of that, he shouted, “Hey, God o. NEPA carried the light for Dubai, Eeei Jesus is lord. The world must hear this.”

Olaniyan Oluwatosin, the Uber driver of late Nollywood actor Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, aka Sisi Quadri, is still in shock over the passing of the movie star.

Olaniyan Oluwatosin, the late Nollywood star Sisi Quadri’s Uber driver, has expressed shock at his demise.

In an emotional post, she revealed how she went to the deceased’s home and saw his grave, meaning they won’t see themselves again.

She also admitted that the movie star had been of great help to her aside from driving him around the city

She recalled the moments she shared with him and wished she spent more time with him before he passed. She could not believer he was dead until she got to Iwo, Osun state, where the deceased was buried.

Aside from being his driver, she is also an actress and the actor helped her get paid for certain jobs she did. They also shared a cordial relationship as they stayed in the same hotel space at times. He added that she has not been herself since Sisi Quadri died.

In her word

“Boda mi Tolani, your Uber driver is here. I got to your house today but I saw your burial ground, I saw your daddy, and I couldn’t hold my tears. Tola, who do I drive? Who do I buy food for? She recalled the time she ran to another hotel with him and the lessons he taught her while he was still alive. She said:

Charly Boy recently made an appearance as a guest on The Discourse With Ken, a Classic FM radio segment, during which he admitted responsibility for the current status of the country and voiced his profound displeasure.

“I am the president of all frustrated Nigerians, na me. My frustration level is very high because I’ve had my own portion of suffering. I’m sure the reason my p**is doesn’t rise is because of the situation of this country,” he said.

Charly implored Nigerians to accept responsibility for their mistakes and cautioned against placing all the blame on the political elites, whom he called the “ruiners of Nigeria.”

“In this Nigeria, our ‘ruiners of Nigeria’ I don’t want to call them leaders, contribute to our current problems but our people don’t want to hear the truth. The truth is it is high time we stopped blaming these people. If we had taken the right kind of action this wouldn’t have happened,” said Charly Boy.

He expressed sincere regret for the mistakes made by his generation in the past and said that nothing was done to stop the problems that are being faced today when they started all those years ago.

He said, “I want to take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of people in my generation because a majority of us were missing in action. We had seen the issues coming right from the military regime, no be today. And most of us, the time that we should have done something, we didn’t now look as criminals have taken over our space and to get them out is a problem.”

In Africa, genotype is a big deal in relationships and marriages since people with incompatible genotypes can give birth to children who have sickle cell anemia and are prone to sickness or death.
However, is it true that you shouldn’t marry someone whose genotype is incompatible with yours? Well, it is true to some extent.

Though society frowns at it, there are certain things that you can do even if you are both of the same AS or SS genotype to avoid giving birth to children that would have sickle cell anaemia.


Here are the options available to you:

1. Tube tying
Tube tying, also known as tubal ligation, is a surgical procedure for women that permanently prevents pregnancy by blocking or cutting the fallopian tubes which connect the ovaries to the uterus. This prevents eggs from travelling to the uterus for fertilisation by sperm. It has a 99.9% success rate and prevent any child from being born.

2. Adoption
If you crave having children, you can always adopt. Many children are orphans and crave the love and support of a loving family. Family isn’t just related by blood but also by love. If you are both AS or SS, you can adopt a child or children and take care of them as you are. However, make sure you undergo the legal process of adoption.

3. Vasectomy
With a vasectomy can enjoy pleasurable sex without the fear of a child being born. A vasectomy is a surgical procedure for men that permanently prevents pregnancy by blocking or cutting the vas deferens, which carry sperm from the testicles to the urethra. This makes sure sperm doesn’t mix with semen. Sperm is what is ejaculated during orgasm.


4. Surrogacy
Surrogacy is a process where a surrogate bears a pregnancy for the intended parents, helping those with conception challenges start families. There are two main types: gestational surrogacy and traditional surrogacy.

In gestational surrogacy, the surrogate is not genetically related to the baby. In contrast, traditional surrogacy, less common, uses the surrogate’s egg fertilized by the intended father’s (or donor’s) sperm, making the surrogate genetically related to the baby.

In Nigeria, surrogacy contracts and agreements remain enforceable even without a law or statute backing it up.

5. In vitro fertilisation
In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is an assisted reproductive technology (ART) that fertilises an egg outside the body and implants the resulting embryo into the uterus for pregnancy. This process can be beneficial for individuals or couples who have the same genotype and can’t give birth through normal means.

Famous Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev Fr Chinenye Oluoma has berated Nigerian youths who are into fraudulent activities on the Internet, saying they may not end well.
In a video posted on his official Facebook page on Tuesday morning, the priest who spoke during a sermon, lamented how the internet fraudsters defraud innocent people of their hard earned money, stating that it would have been better if they target politicians.

Fr Oluoma said although some music artistes sing to endorse Yahoo, such lifestyle cannot be justified.

He said,

“When you pursue wealth at the expense of fellow humans, you are trashing people to get a treasure that will be a trash in your life.

“I don’t understand when people who steal and dupe others get angry when ministers condemn it.

“Yahoo means a set of people who will just lock themselves in a house, look for somebody who is vulnerable using their computers and dupe the person everything he laboured for.

“Then the person becomes so broke after 30 to 40 years of labouring. You steal everything the person has and the person is dying of depression, High Blood Pressure and heart attack and you are comfortable.

“That some musicians even sing to endorse that kind of lifestyle means to you that it is normal?

“If Yahoo means tricking people, defrauding them of their hard earned money, leaving them penniless and they die of heart attack, how do you want to end well?

“Some people even consider it as a legitimate hustle. How can stealing be a legitimate hustle? If you are that kind of person, you can’t end well.

“If you are into such a thing, please don’t marry because if you marry and you give birth, your children will suffer the consequences.

popular singer, Habib Okikiola, also known as Portable has reported himself at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

This followed an order by the police that he should report himself at the nearest police station for assaulting a young man known as DJ Chicken, in a viral video.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Portable “has reported at the command’s headquarters Eleweran on Wednesday 29th of June 2022.”

He said the Zazu singer arrived in Eleweran at 5pm with his father and his manager, after which he was taken to the Public Complaints Bureau office by the State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole.

At the Public Complaints Bureau office, Oyeyemi said Portable ”was interrogated about his role in the assault meted out to the boy in the video.”

However, he informed that Portable has been released to a reliable surety because the offence committed is bailable; adding that the strike action ongoing in the state has affected the courts.

”Meanwhile, the assaulted victim has also been invited to come state his own side of the story to enable the command complete her investigation on time,” Oyeyemi explained.

One Latifah Kadiri has mourned her uncle, Yusuf Nurudeen, the hunter who was killed by kidnappers while attempting to rescue late parish priest of St. Michael Catholic Church, lkhabigbo, Edo State, Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia.

The priest was abducted from his rectory in the early hours of Sunday, June 25, while he was on his way to conduct a mass for worshippers at the parish.

The abductors killed the clergyman in frustration while Nurudeen was also shot dead during the gun duel.
