Family › Re: Reasons Why Nigerian Marriages Fail Abroad by Hotguy27: 7:38am On Feb 25, 2025 |
irumole1975: In the Nigerian system, the men do most of the heavy financial lifting in the family. But over there, the structure and system requires women to participate in the heavy financial lifting also. So along the line, these 9ja .women begin to get overwhelmed and they begin to loose interest in the man that took them there , because in the first place most of their reasons for settling down weren't from a strong conviction of love for the man, but just some that will lighten their financial burden.
So abroad system puts.. ...that financial burden back on them, then they find out that, they don't even love this man or need him after all. These men are innocent, it's just the women that mostly married for the wrong reason, no body treated them wrongly in Nigeria.
If for anything, the abroad is... helping to expose this Nigerian women and their ulterior motives. Maybe if they start marrying for the right reason, then there will see that, geographical location has nothing to do here. The major reasons for the failed Nigerian marriages abroad are: 1. Lack of free women to knack. 2. Loss of interest due to work pressure and mental stress. 3. Opportunity for women to cheat without stigmatisation. 4. Cheating suspicions. 5. Disagreement over finance 6. Lack of intimacy 7. Poor quality time spent together as couples 8. Association with bad friends 9. Women and Children’s right acts. 10. Inability of the man to secure a better paying job. 11 Existing problems in marriages before travelling abroad. Solution: 1. Women, in particular, should be encouraged to take food or vitamin D supplements daily. 2. Men should try their best to secure good paying jobs 3. Men should look and smell good 4. Couples should make out times to hang out 5. Men should influence the type of friends their wifes keep. |

My surprise was that they were all hopeful to get married someday. I now ask, which feeling wlll they go into marriages with? They would see any husband as just one customer who would mean nothing to them. What matter to such women are just their children. No serious place for one man in their hearts.

God1000: no one is saying illegal immigrants should not be deported, but why chaining them like subhumans, you don't treat people in such manner, America of all countries should not be doing that
There are diplomatic channels and due process to follow, you can't just bundle people and put them on the plane without informing the host country, it is disrespectful and inhuman
Both Columbia and US are allies, trust me this will backfire on America soon, you Trump supporters are the biggest clowns I've ever seen, you have no clue how the world works, everything is gra gra and firebrigade approach
Imagine south Africa treating our people this way I am not sure you understand the world politics well. Trump is the current president of USA who had outlined his policies far ahead of this time. He is just implementing them with swiftness unlike our leaders in Africa who would campaign rigorously and when they get into power they would abandon the promises they made that got them to power and start implementing strange and unproductive policies. In this case of USA, Trump feels that the crimes being committed in USA are perpetrated by the illegal immigrants which he frequently refers to as criminals even in his address to those countries he writes to. That is a man determines to bring a result based on his campaign promises. |

It must be a case of fighting, and in this, can't pass for murder. Manslaughter is the case because it can't be deliberate except if the Nigerian is a lunatic. If he is in sound state of mind, he is reasonably expected to know the dire consequences of committing murder.

There is something many people who haven't traveled don't understand. For them to have stayed for 15 years in the UK, it is highly possible they already have their own houses there in addition to better opportunities their kids have in terms of jobs or quality of life. Career › Re: Why Are My Southern Brethren Resigning From The Federal Civil Service Jobs by Hotguy27: 10:45am On Oct 15, 2024 |
PEACE2023: Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this article is based on my personal experience.
I work with a High profile federal government parastatal with good remuneration.
We were 100 that was employed in 2013 drawing from South and North. We have been promoted 3 times and expecting another promotion.
But something is disturbing me as a Southerner from South East. About 25 persons from my set have resigned and relocated abroad. Only 2 are still in Nigeria.
It is more shocking that this 25 persons are all from the South. Either South West or South East or South South.
My fear is the implications when our set will get to the pick. No northerner had resigned or thinking of resigning as at today.
The future implications is that they will occupy majority of the apex positions in this parastatal and the south will start shouting marginalization and why all top directors are from the north.
The last meeting I had at the NNPCL Head quarter's Abuja saw 99% of Top Management Staff from the north.
During The introduction of members I was shaking my head. This bring me to ask, could this issue I am experiencing in my own organization be the same in NNPCL?
Currently a Lady I know in NNPCL resigned and moved to Canada. You already know the future implications to the South when her set will get to the top.
Why are Southerners relocating and leaving their beautiful jobs why the northerners are comfortably enjoying the same work.
Is this greed on the south or that our problems are too much?
I taunt my friend from sokoto some days ago why he doesn't want to japa, he laughed and answered me, to do what over there?
Why are the southerners the only people who sees reasons to japa? Knowing that we can not live past 100 yrs and we can not go anywhere with all this wealth.
Remember the higher a southerner become a director, the higher the chance of Southerners getting employment in this organizations.
If you work with a good federal government agency share your thoughts.
Are you experiencing the same in your organization? To be frank, don't blame those leaving Nigeria. It is possible you will remain there for next 10 years without being able to build a beffiting house for yourself and family or being able to sponsor your children to abroad/local good schools for better education while those ones that are moving abroad will achieve those things within next 10 years. It is a personal choice. |

The truth is that Yoruba people have been disgracing Nigeria in the UK. It could be because they are many there. In fact, they have a reasonable population in the UK but again, they always have escalated marriage or family problems. No disrespect intended but that is the true situation in the UK.
Modified 👇 There was another recent couple (still Yoruba) that dragged themselves to the police. The wife was deceived by her friends to frame the husband up on a false accusations. She boldly told the husband that she would frame him up and Police would take him away from the house just because the husband asked her to work since his pay alone wasn't enough for the family. Eventually, she carried out her threat and the husband was arrested and detained by the police for 2 weeks. His saving grace was the CCTV he installed which recorded the day the wife was threatening him in Yoruba that she would frame him up and have police deal with him. That was how they extracted the clip and used Google to translate her threat which she used Yoruba to say. The man was freed and the woman was detained for further investigation. |
Health › Re: Am I Infected With HIV?? by Hotguy27: 7:50pm On Jul 16, 2024 |
ronet2: Hello everyone,
I need some advice from medical persons on a possible exposure to HIV.
What is the probability of contracting HIV infection after protected sex with condom and washing of the genitals with soap and water. So the story.. I had a one off sex with a lady on May 4th 2024 with condom. No oral,no kissing. After ejaculation,I removed the condom carefully, their was no condom tear/bust and went to the bathroom to wash off with soap and water ( i did not wipe off with tissue before washing off). So on 28th morning,I woke up with vomiting, diarrhea and localized abdominal pain on my lower left. Had a very mild fever the next day and I was treated for malaria and I recovered, though abdominal pain persisted for a while. I tested for HIV at 30 days post exposure and it came back negative. On 18th June 2024,the abdominal pain returned with diarrhea, lower back burning sensation and low grade fever the next day. I carried out culture test And Ulcer test, some bacteria was found and ulcer was positive. I was treated for ulcer and the abdominal pain stopped.
So my fear: 1.Can ulcer alone cause the symptoms described above? 2. Are their other possible STI/UTI test I need to carryout? 3. Is it possible that while washing off,the reminant of vaginal fluid on the pubic area can wash down to the tip of the penis and hence cause infection ( note I did not wipe off with tissue before washing off, meaning i might still have sperm at the tip)? 3. Can HIV transmit this way? 4. What are my chances that my 4 weeks negative test will not change after 3 months?
From wide search,I learnt that HIV 2 which is predominant in west Africa is a bit harder to transmit.
I'm still experiencing intermittent abdominal pain, burning sensation.
Thanks. 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 No. You have not contacted HIV. You followed the needed procedure in using the condom but I must tell you that you may have contacted a very bad STI through the body fluid like sweat, common body contact or the through the coming together of your pubic areas during the copulation. It is hard for medical personel to tell you these facts as they will continue to give you clean medical reports after treating you some "minor" bacteria or virus infections. You may likely going to experience all the symptoms of HIV in the couple of months to come. The worst problem is that you will infect anyone you have sex with whether protected or unprotected even without kiss or oral performance and they will also go through this pain you are experiencing now. I don't know whether it has a solution but the best approach is to continue to do swap tests and conclusively follow the medication as prescribed. Good luck. |

Duyt1798: Hi guys!
I hope this my post gets to the FP, so I can get insights from a wider audience; even I know some might not make sense, but one thing I've learnt from the short time I joined this platform, is that - sense dey inside nonsense.
Pardon me, my write fit dey a bit lengthy.
I currently work with a multi-national startup coy. My net pay is a bit above 400k naira (this's at the moment), I've worked for about 2 years. I'm married with two kids and expecting the third.
Now my dilemma is that, I've not been able to save up funds, I feel like my living condition doesn't reflect what I earn. Shingbai like this, I no get for account. The last I could remember, I go deep hand for forex, e nearly give me hypertension (I lost about 2m). I still dey pay debt wey I incur as a result.
Now where I need assistance is, looking at the amount I'm earning, how do I spend? Please for those that will be kind enough to give suggestions, let it practically explained, as in help me break am down to the amount wey I suppose spend, how I suppose spend am, and wetin I suppose save.
I believe say many family people dey here wey get better experiences.
Thanks 🙏. How I wish I have enough time to tell you many things now. However, you didn't tell us your location. You don't expect someone staying in Lagos or Abuja to spend the same amount of money, if all things bring equal, as someone staying in Sokoto or Katsina. Aside location, school also matters. What type of school are your kids attending? To cut everything short, try to find another source of income to supplement your current pay. Also make a conscious effort to cut down on irrelevant spending especially trying to solve extended family members' financial problems until you can solve your own. Loan repayment is another setback in growing your financial status. Try and set off any loan if you have one so you can save the interest. Finally, no matter what save 100k every month from now |

There are people that are good at drinking and partying with their friends, feeling big before them and lavishing money stupendously without caring to know whether those friends need their support financially or otherwise to grow. You probably need your friend only when you are looking for company for outing or to show off. He probably must have been visiting you but you never visited him or cared to visit him. Maybe he lived in an area you consider low level area and as a "big boy" you are too big to visit someone in such location. He probably must have asked for your help financially in the past but you didn't respond well while you continued to spend lavishly with him when you go outing.
Check well. One or two or all of the above could be the case |
