In 2004, as a young student at The Polytechnic, Ibadan, I bought a SIM card from a new network that had just arrived in Nigeria. That network was Glo, and little did I know that small chip would stay with me for over two decades.

Through the years, that SIM witnessed everything—late-night calls with friends, business growth, family moments, tough times, and victories. It remained constant while life kept changing.

From the days of recharge cards and “Who go dash me card?” to today’s world of fast internet and social media, my number never changed. It became more than just a line—it became part of my identity.

Today, after 22 years, I finally upgraded my SIM to 4G. Same number, same journey—just a new level.

Not everything old needs to be replaced. Some things just need an upgrade.

WHAT HAPPENED

I don't know if it's called Earpod, Earbud or Airpod, but it's all earpiece.
So I bought a Bluetooth one, downloaded Spotify playlist app on my phone's playstore and began listening to jamz 24/7 except when I'm bathing. Even at work, I use it.

I wasn't used to using accessories like this.

So, I noticed a pain inside my right ear, later it became a boyl. I felt the pains, took Bicham ampiclox and after a few days, it disappeared.

Now I can't hear with that ear any longer. I can only partially hear with it.

HOW AM I FEELING ?

In the ear, I feel like there's a blockage which is impeding sound. I feel like there's water in there. You know how it is when you're bathing and water enters into your ear? That's how the feeling is, right now. If I'm talking to someone, I feel there is an earpiece hanging in my ear, so I need to speak louder than normal. This is the Third day.
I am worried.

Go to the hospital. It might be the rubber cover at the tip of the earpiece that has dropped in your ear. It is not a difficult thing to remove by experts.

So, it should depend on how and where you use the car. Nigeria atmosphere has a lot of dust particles that unfortunately find their ways into the engines. This alters completely the efficiency and the duration of whatever engine oil you use. For me, I change engine oil every month or once I drive the car for 3,000 km

We married A Year ago. We decided to wait for a year before having kids. We started trying 3 few months but no success. I told both of us needs to get tested. I did Sperm Analysis & the result is good, I'm very fertile.

She did pelvic scan, and in the scan, She has fibroid (Submocousal fibroid 5.5cm). The news broke me and I was very sad, I never imagined I'll be in this kind of situation. We went to the gynecologist and He told us to go for HSG to check her fallopian tube, The result showed that Both Tubes are blocked.

I've not been myself for the last couple of days. I had to pretend to be strong because She was down & has been crying as well. This are two serious fertility issues and Her chances of conception is very low. Even if The gynecologist tells us to do the IVF(Which I don't even have money for it cause it's vey expensive) They'll still have to remove the fibroid.

This are very expensive procedures that are not even guaranteed that it will work and She will conceive. I'm the only male child in my family, in my early 30's. Pressure will start coming from all directions and also considering my my age, I don't pray to experience delay with child birth. I just decided to pour own my mind here. I'm really down, I don't know what to do.

Most women are aware of such situation before their marriage. I knew a lady who was having fibroid and got married without telling the husband. Their marriage is about 7 years now and nothing to show.

You can divorce her on the ground of deception if she knew her condition before marriage and she didn't tell you. It is better that one person suffers than 2 people suffering such pain for too long. It might sound very brutal but just think about it.

Betting is a big problem. I was introduced into it by a colleague in the office in 2017 or so.I was earning over N400k then as monthly salary. I lost over N500k to it. I took a bold step to delete my betting account and that was how I stopped it.

Fast forward to 2024 another colleague in the office showed me his small small winnings and before you know it, my old habbit came back. I created a betting account and within a year I lost over N7m. I was betting with N200k or N300k so that I could win big but nothing.

I took another break for about 4 months but each time I remembered the total amount I had lost, it would pain me. In May 2025, I started again but I was lucky to win N15.3m with N240k.

I feel happy now that I have gained something from these terrible gambling companies
