Yeah lululuv, the contraction stopped, didn't even finish d dosage duration before it stopped, was asked to always take it whenever d contraction started prematurely (I mean before contraction was really needed I.e at term) although I was working like jack and always on d move, so take out time to rest, talk to your baby, drink water and have fun. Lululuv, I was contracting from 25wks too, as a jjc, tot it was normal till doc examined and detected it, he placed me on some pink tabs for some weeks, can't remember d name and the contraction stopped. Also don't be anxious dear, just be calm and obey docs order, drink water, sleep and take one step at a time esp if you work. you go born your pikin safely by God's grace.

About your job and baby, can u get your people or Inlaw to get you someone like a small girl of 12 to 15 yrs that can go to school as your baby goes to creche/school and she would stay with her at d creche till you or your hubby returns. Also source for creche that opens very early like 5:30am and close late and discuss your time and price with them.

Akorkor, your fears are normal cos of the miracle of childbirth that happened there. Just try to be less tensed and enjoy urself, you might feel real pressure down there as it did for me cos I had an episiotomy that took weeks to heal but it gets better with time. Enjoy but ensure you have taken precautions else u fit land back to preggy thread oh

Jazzyjazz, try not to take pap with Milo, I noticed it has not effect in improving bm, take hot watery pap with sugar or add evaporated milk like hollandia, feed him on demand, eat better food and reduce stress. D more u pump, d more it refills, don't mind how much that comes out but i prefer to pump only engorged breasts cos its less painful. Cheers

Florena, tired kee, don't be oh, happens to my Ds too although paediatrician said no cause for alarm, I made my research and found out that some foods like wheat, some type of milk taken by d mom causes conspitation, so take more water, pineapple, reduce chocolate, reduce cabin biscuits, take better pap with liquid full creme milk and check again. About inserting, pls try not to do it often so that he won't be waiting for you when poo is hard

Suzy, firstly what's causing the rashes? Is it heat rashes or breastmilk rashes? If its as a result of breastmilk, after breastfeeding, clean with clean damp warm cloth to wipe off d milk, if its heatrashes, reduce covering, dress baby a layer more than you, pending on the weather, as for the rashes there now, agnesia powder is very good but isn't magical so be patient with it, u can mix d powder with water to form Paste and rub on the affected area. To your question about episiotomy, firstly u should take your sitz bath seriously, warm water, salt and dettol or savlon and sit for 10-15mins. Rinse after urinating and change pads frequently. You will be fine in no time and would be so ready to r... Oga soonest
Drink enough water while eating so that ur poo won't be so hard that wud lead to straining.
Keep an open mind about d healing cos it solely depends on your body but like 2weeks, u should see drastic improvement.

I heard that one should use cold water compress for swelling at the first 48hrs and after 48hrs, use warm water(application of heat) to swelling caused by vaccination. This is from a doc though and I used it when Ds took 6weeks immunization.

Abbynhummy, congrats on your delivery and welcome to the thread, about healing time for episiotomy, my dear it differs oh depending on the way your body heals. Some say 2-3weeks, mine took 6weeks due to my kind of skin and it wasn't infected oh, so just calm ur mind and enjoy your baby, do your sitz bath, keep communication with your Gynae if u observe any abnormalities and sabi mamas if u need answers based on experience.
