Nigerians and ignorance, the generic name is "Kaftan" and its origin is not from Nigeria! Go out to the world, travel a bit and educate yourself!
Kaftan is not a Yoruba word...and no Yoruba is claiming to own it. Agbada is what we are talking about.

PoliticsRe: Nndigbo: Why We MUST STOP Saying Lagos Is No Man's Land by hotwax: 10:05am On Nov 21, 2017
PointB:
Saying Lagos is "No man's land" does not in anyway means we are neglecting the East/Homeland. The idea is to maximize the benefit of Lagos to develop the East.

We must not lose sight of our contributions in Lagos, yet we must capitalize on the gains of those contribution to develop our homeland. We can't just pack up and leave Lagos, nor can anyone run us out of our investments in the growth Lagos. That's why we say "Lagos is No Man's Land." And that's what it will remain in the foreseeable future if Nigeria continue to exist as it is now!
Chinese have more investment in lagos than Igbo, they didn't call it no man's land. Dubia is base of investors all over the world, nobody is calling it a no man's land. The lagos no man's land word is birth from jealousy. Igbo wish they have a place lagos.
They forgot they can anambra another lagos
PoliticsRe: Nndigbo: Why We MUST STOP Saying Lagos Is No Man's Land by hotwax: 10:01am On Nov 21, 2017
The tax MTN is paying is more than 50000 okirika 2x2 shops are paying.

Why can't they build their own village? Why die on lagos matter?

Aregbesola in osun is constructing mad roads in osun, once things start booming in osun, they will flock there and start claiming to developed it.

Some Igbo boys are claiming ogun state tax is 70pcent Igbo money.

Why can't they invest on their land? Is it a curse?
PoliticsRe: Nndigbo: Why We MUST STOP Saying Lagos Is No Man's Land by hotwax: 9:56am On Nov 21, 2017
SpComedy:
Lagos is a no man's land and the narrative is simple............. The yoruba may more in number but the no man-ness of Lagos is economically based.........

Every Nigerian contributed/is contributing to the growth of Lagos, the federal government used/uses money gotten from all over the country to build Lagos the more, all ethnic group in Nigeria are scampering to Lagos in other to gain back their resources used by FG to build Lagos, Thus making Lagos A NO MANS LAND.......... If e vex una ask federal government to construct federal roads, ports and airports in other region just like it's in Lagos..............

Lagos = NO MANS LAND
The port and most roads were built by England before forming nigeria...

Mad illiterate. No wonder you call it no man's land.

Now I understand your problem
PoliticsLets Put An End To This Argument Finally - Igbo Developed Lagos by hotwax(op): 4:37pm On Nov 20, 2017
An Igbo indigene has never been the governor of Lagos state till date, therefore any development happening or has happened in the past should be attributed to Lagos present and past leaders (Yorubas). Lagos development was traced back to Portuguese merchants and British colonialist using Lagos as port and administrative centre before the discovery oil. Lagos has been the most developed land before the era of ground nut pyramid, oil boom and Igbo/Hausa immigrants. Then, the word Nigeria was never in existence.

So how did Igbo built Lagos?
Igbos are known for businesses like clothing shops, spare parts, and other street hawking business. Can these businesses develop Lagos? Yes, they can contribute to the development of Lagos but not the large Chunk of development.
The way Igbo’s are into Spare Part and all, we also have Chinese, Lebanese, Indians traders in Lagos paying tax, yet they are not claiming to be solely developing Lagos.

Tax DSTV, MTN paying to Lagos state per month is more that the tax of 50,000 Igbo traders.

For enlightenment, these are the businesses making Lagos.

MTN, GLO, DSTV, schlumberger, Lever Brothers, Unilevers, Indo foods, FirstBank, GTBANK, TOTAL, Samsung, EKO Hotel, Cocacola and thousands of multinational firms.

With their tax alone, Lagos can develop at its own pace.

Finally, all tribes are contributing to the development of Lagos state. I know some mallams from Kano who have invested Billions in Lagos. Look out for Lagos Bureau de change. I have not seen any Hausa man claiming to built Lagos alone. Yorubas may be the dominating tribe, but Lagos was not built by Yorubas alone.

Yorubas are just beneficiary of the nature of Lagos. Sea, Port and Population.

Have your say.

All these makes me a proud Yoruba man. Other tribes want to have everything Yorubas.

one Igbo boy was telling me Igbo owns Ile-Ife..I said thank you... Yoruba culture is rich. Everyone want to associate themselves with Yorubas.

But wait, have you seen any Yoruba claiming ownership

Tinubu is from Osun state, and a former Lagos state governor. His boy is Ambode still ruling Lagos...

He knows Lagos more than the whole anambras.

When Tinubu goes to bed, Lagos to bed.
PoliticsRe: Governor Obiano: "Anambra Made Lagos What It Is" by hotwax: 2:24pm On Nov 20, 2017
pls anambra develobers, come and develop Edun abon for us.

Mumu people you are developing Lagos and Anambra still remains a village.

I guess anambra people owns MTN, GTBANK, FIRSTBANK, APPLE, SAMSUNG, GLO, TOTAL, AIICO, MANSARD, LEVER Brothers.

These are the businesses paying taxes to Lagos. If however anambras have none of the businesses listed above..sorry they are irrelevant.

Except the 2x2 cloths shop we know them for.

CultureRe: Bini Are Original Owners Of Lagos, Not Yoruba – Layi Ajayi-Bembe by hotwax: 7:36pm On Nov 19, 2017
I remember some Hausa guys claiming ownership of Lagos too. LOL...They claimed Emir forces in Ilorin extended its kingdom to Lagos.

The truth is Lagos is rich and envy of most tribes in Nigeria.

Benin used it for slave trade during the dark ages. Portuguese also used it. But Portuguese are not coming out to claim they own it. Thats what illiteracy does to people.

Benins also used some other parts of Yoruba lands in Ogun state.

Using someone's land does not make you the owner of the land.

Well, Eko onibaje...

I love Benins very well...We are intertwined culturally. I feel at home with them. But this man's claim is not real. You can't Jump Osun, Oyo, Ondo to come and claim Eko. Ko jo.
