Rip to the victims. Well, Ebola patients from neighboring countries will have to find another pastor to flee to now |
Fulaman198: I disagree with you 100%. You are referring as aforementioned to certain black African groups. What about groups like the Serer, Wolof, Dinka, Nuer, Masaai, Songhai/Zarma/Dendi, the Kanuri, etc etc. What I'm telling you is simple. Black African groups that inhabit the region known as the Sahel or the Southern Sahara have never been what most brainwashed people consider the 'stereotypical' African. White racists are the ones who propagated that image when they came into contact with south Africans. However, I find it funny that whenever an unmixed group of native black African does not have those features a white person tries to claim they are mixed (not the non-racist ones). What's even funnier is when some brainwashed Africans jump on that bandwagon. Not clear what your point is above. Images of at least 2 of those groups you mentioned fall into the descriptions i gave previously. Dinka, Nuer... As they've never seen other Africans does not mean they are not the same genetically. They could be descendants of the very people intermingled with Arabs to produce the Fulani of Africa. Why does that hurt you so much? Whats the big deal? Fulani mostly are a mixture of at least 2 races. Its plain to see. Mixture of races is not specific to the African continent. Eg Hazara people of Afghanistan look Mongoloid but are Afghans, North East indians look a bit Chinese but are Indian. People inhabiting bordering countries of different races , or people who have been invaded by other races tend to have mixed genetic lines. Quite simple really, you are an intelligent boy I'm sure you wont have to grapple too long with that fact |
Fulaman198: That's why I have such a low opinion of some Africans. They let themselves get brainwashed easily. So you think all Africans should look the same right? You think that a stereotypical 'full-blooded' African is one with super dark skin, a super wide nose, short muscular stature, etc? Sorry but you are completely wrong.. Fulanis are African, Libyans are African, Khoisan are African, Yoruba are African etc However, we are all different and how each group came to be is different. A certain percentage of the African population can be described as you have in bolded, obviously with more positive and appreciative language than you have used for example -Velvety, dark chocolate sometimes midnight black skin, which can sometimes occur in individuals as bright yellow skin;,crisp and tightlycoiled hair, aesthetically rounded and generous noses with subtle bridges, well defined bodies of efficient proportions, beautiful, soft "pillow" lips, proud foreheads and most of all a spiritual and mostly accepting and naive soul. This describes a huge and substantial population of Africans, and this is the race that has one way or other ( Jihadism, migration, etc)encountered other races and brought about many other types of people who do not on average bear this description eg Fulani |
Fulaman198: What are you talking about? You don't make sense a lot of you people should be ashamed to call yourselves Africans. It makes me wonder where you all got educated. Senegambian peoples like the Fulani, Wolof and Serer are taller. There are no Arab or North African features so let's cut out the nonsense.Listen, its so plain to see in many of the Fulani photos that the features of more than one race is present. Its far more than just being taller. You may not like it but its clear from even looking at West Indian people , for example, of African origin whose ancestors had mixed with Indians or whites during the period of slavery. So many of them with a change of clothes and/or hairstyle could very easily pass for Fulani.... |
KenyanLady: Fulaman198.. Agree. I have a theory that the first Fulanis were mixed race, hence the Arab/North African features. So perhaps the present Fulanis do not mix, but the initial ones were products of a mixed race conception. |
Timileyin: Got to settle some really big fight few days back when preparing to go to a cousin's wedding. I left home with my sister, with the intention of picking my Girl friend alone with way, When we saw her, she demanded my sister, move to the back so as she could occupy her so called space. Which ended been a big fight and they caused a really big scene. Who do i support?girlfriend. You are attending as a couple, although she shouldn't have asked your sis to come down. You should have sorted that out and your sis should have known to go to the back. When your sis is with her bf she sits in front with him. Sikena |
arresa: It's just too hard to believe that Nigerians can not coexist equally on the same platform regardless of our beliefs.. I really hope this is not the case... Sad, but true . We can vote with our e-feet.... |
You have a point and I support your demand for the thread to be moved back to Politics section. Perhaps the time has come for an alternative forum that is more friendly to posts about Lagos and SW ![]() |
django1: Dude what exactly is your grouse with these pictures?they are too beautiful and too positive |
Breathtaking development. Proud to be a 5th generation Lagosian ![]() |
Another reason could be that in politics section too many covetous eyes will bring their slurring mouths filled with provocative comments to incite e wars. Haven't been to the Enugu thread (unsurprisingly, as i don't ever plan to visit) but i can bet that its running smoothly with little slurs or hatred |
Hmmm...... Please continue...... |
Caseless2: NO! They'll meet in new york when gej attends d forthcoming UN general assembly. She go fall gej hand for there cos he told us he knws wher the gals are, but wont bring them back. He also defied her suggestion to visit chibok by inviting the parents to villa and stuffing their mouths with financial handouts to keep them shut forever. Infact, the statement credited to the parents of those gals recently that "they have sacrificed their daughters , but govt shld end boko haram" confirms how d handout is working on them .He is not weak at all. Its time to call a spade a spade. Weak?? No. It may be comforting for those whom his actions hurt or are detrimental to believe he is weak because then" you cant fully blame him, its not his fault, he is weak" . |
Still waiting o 2prexious |
OrlandoOwoh: Why do you ask?just curious. You seem both well read and well traveled |
Orlandoowoh: are you a journalist? What is your profession |
Well, i kind of agree. They should be brought to justice via the courts. How do we know innocents are not being killed? |
I pray a satisfactory outcome for all parties on the case in court. So, please tell me more about grandma's stories, and yes, i have my tissues ready just in case. What i like as well as your writing flow is that you have factual information too. Do you happen to have any pics of Ado Odo? The person I knew from Ado Odo was an Egun and he also had fond memories of the place |
Hml. Bride and groom look alike |
I am really laughing at your grandma seizing the ball She sounds amazing. Truly the last of the amazons. I have heard of Ado-Odo. What were the issues between indigenes and settlers? Are the indigenes Egun? Also please tell us some of your grandma's stories? I like your writing style, very natural with a good flow. |
