ola_pluto: Suddenly after Ekiti elections, PDP claiming to be saints and trying to demonise Tinubu. Some even dare to question Tinubu's performance as a governor in Lagos, saying he didnt do anything.
If you know Oshodi in 1998, and Oshodi in 2003, then you will never talk trash of Tinubu. I wont even go into the years of witheld allocations, yet he ran the state. These days, we have states governed by PDP with monthly allocations pumped in regularly, yet they struggle to pay workers salaries.
Tinubu sure has his flaws, but I am yet to see a PDP governor (present or ex) who has performed up to Tinubu's level....and the ability to choose a better successor is the halmark of a great leader. If OBJ didnt make a mistake with Yaradua or GEJ, we wont be where we are now.

wellmax: I still love Tinubu, nobody has been a vocal voice for opposition as he is.
Where is PPA, APGA, CPC, DPM, etc? (where dem dey?)
If he single handedly sponsors opposition (which is good for democracy), why wont he reap the benefits.
Let me remind you, PDP control Fedral treasury, so no need for God fathers, (all of them dey chop).
Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be credited for strengthening democracy in Nigeria.

Tinubu carry on, the dynasty is just beginning to grow. Just be careful of wolfs in sheep clothing, PDP moles planted in APC to destroy and subvert your efforts.
PoliticsRe: Most Boko Haram Weapons Are Stolen From The Nigerian Army by Howmanage: 8:59pm On Jul 01, 2014
Nafeesa AA: Someone wrote this

I cannot for the life of me comprehend how utterly irrational some people are: So
just to discredit GEJ, APC/Northerners will:
1. Create, arm, sustain and support Boko Haram on a rampage that;

a. Kills hundreds of Muslims
b. Destroys Northern Schools
c. Bombs Mosques
d. Slaughter their own kids
e Kidnap their girls
f. Kill their imams
g. Destroys their cities, crops, livestock, and livelihood
h. Turns them to refugees across Cameroon and Niger
2. Just to deny Jonathan a second term, the North will
a. Ravage its Economy
b. Destroy its Political base
c. Murder APC members

See how silly that looks? if the North wants to discredit GEJ, it instead would attack PDP members, GEJ Loyalist and structures. In short, the North and/or BH will fundamentally direct their insurgency at the socio-political base of GEJ so as to create disillusionment, disaffection, fear and frustration from his brethren and supporters especially those from the North.

FACTS
Someone, somewhere is fomenting this unrest precisely to generate the reaction of
the most nigerians gullible afterall. BH is a creation of someone, somewhere to discredit the north, destroy its economy and people, divide its unity, destabilize it politically, and ultimately cause the balkanization of nigeria. And it shall fail insha Allah.
this is also my suspicion

xtervaganza: Mr self respect seeking African......

I tell ya, 80% of blacks who scream racism at everything are mostly lists and looking for cheap sympathy.

Like stoopid Lauryn hill who was sent to jail for evading taxes and was screaming racism. Idiots

Racism exists ad there are millions of racists, but screaming racism at every incident a black man/woman is the loser won't help the fight against racism.

Evra, if you know his history is a class a c&nt. I don't need to list the number of crap from dat bastard
Be all that as it may, a racist comment is a racist comment. Suarez is racist.

People have different strategies for dealing with racism (eg Dani Alves) but denying it is never the wise choice. Thats the coward and self hating way

Well, at least when/if you have a son at whom such a comment is directed, you can puff up your chest , hold your head up high and tell him thats a normal comment in Uruguay/Norway/Spain/Czech Republic/Take your pick . That way you won't have to deal with it.....

xtervaganza: Suarez is not a racist, only evra is a c&nt.

Suarez said “gracias negritas” which us not racist where he came from. Suarez grandfather is a black man, they have lots of blacks in Uruguay and they're referred to as negras, negritas and its not even considered racist because its normal in their culture unlike our sissy brother evra
Really? Guess you know more than the football association

After an incident which occurred on 15 October 2011 during a game of football between fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester United. Liverpool's Luis Suárez was charged with, and found guilty of, racially abusing United's Patrice Evra, and was fined £40,000 and banned for 8 games. because its "normal" in Suarez culture doesn't make it less racist

It amazes me when black people support such disgusting behaviour, and typically its random Africans shrugging off racially disrespectful attitudes to people of African origin. What does this say about their self respect huh huh

publicenemy: FiFA was wrong to give luis suarez such a hefty ban, they obviously succombed to pressure from the british media who are pissed because luis suarez elliminated them from the world cup. They have been screaming for FIFA to come down hard on Suarez and FIFA did and this is a shame on FIFA.

Different people react differently when under pressure...Zenidine Zidane uses his head, some players use their elbow, rooney becomes aggressive and start going for legg breaking tackles, some players spit on other players and suarez uses his tooth and this isnt a big deal because he does it when he is under pressure and its usually not pre meditated, but impulsive unlike people who use their elbows or those who head butt others.because if you watch the replay you will see that chellini initially used his arm to prevent suarez from moving ahead and the same thing happend with ivanovic and because these players are bigger than suarez he gets fustrated and his naturall reaction is bitting am sure thats the way he grew up.
So i believe head butting or using ones elbow on someone else is worse than luis suarez bitting someone, because head butting someone can cause more damage and going for aggressive tackles like rooney is worse and using the elbow on someone is worse as well and these crimes carry red card offences and possibly a couple of match bans.
But because of the hatred the british fans and media have for suarez they have been able to push FIFA to come down hard on suarez and take the attention of the fans away from the National team"s poor performance at the world cup.

I hope louis suarez can appeal and this ridiculous ban reduced.

I believe louis suarez id a fanatastic player and deserves the heroes welcome.

I am a man united fan
. Mr Suárez said that he replied to Mr Evra's question "Why did you kick me?" by saying "que habia sido una falta normal", meaning "it was just a normal foul". He said he shrugged his shoulders and put his arms out in a gesture to say that there was nothing serious about it. At this point on the video footage Mr Suárez's face is obscured but he does appear to shrug his shoulders.

Mr Suárez said that he replied to Mr Evra's question "Why did you kick me?" by saying "que habia sido una falta normal", meaning "it was just a normal foul". He said he shrugged his shoulders and put his arms out in a gesture to say that there was nothing serious about it. At this point on the video footage, Mr Suárez's face is obscured but he does appear to shrug his shoulders.

Mr Evra said that he followed up Mr Suárez's reply "Because you are black" by saying "Habla otra vez asi, te voy a dar una porrada", which means "Say it to me again, I'm going to punch you". Mr Suárez replied by saying "No hablo con los negros". Mr Evra said that, at the time, he understood this to mean "I don't speak to niggers", although he now says it means "I don't speak to blacks".

Mr Suárez's evidence was that Mr Evra replied to the comment "it was just a normal foul" by saying "OK, you kicked me, I'm going to kick you". Mr Suárez said in his witness statement that his response was "Le dije que se callara e hice un gesto breve con mi mano izquierda parecido a la mocion de un "pato cuando hace cuac" para indicarle que hablaba mucho y deberia callarse", which was translated as "I told him to shut up and made a brief gesture with my left hand like a "quacking" motion as if to say he was talking too much and should be quiet".

Mr Evra said that after Mr Suárez said "I don't speak to blacks", he (Mr Evra) said "Ahora te voy a dar realmente una porrada", which means "OK, now I think I'm going to punch you". To this he says that Mr Suárez replied "Dale, negro...negro...negro". At the time Mr Evra understood this to mean "OK, nigger, nigger, nigger". He now says it means "OK, blackie, blackie, blackie". The expert witnesses stated that the phrase "Dale, negro" can be understood as "Bring it on, blackie" or "do it, blackie" or "go ahead, blackie".

Mr Evra said that as Mr Suárez was speaking he reached out to touch Mr Evra's arm, gesturing at his skin. Mr Evra said that Mr Suárez was drawing attention to the colour of Mr Evra's skin. This gesture is clearly shown on the video footage, just as Mr Kuyt comes between them. It seemed to us that Mr Suárez reached out and pinched Mr Evra's left forearm. In cross-examination Mr Evra said that at the time he did not realise that Mr Suárez had pinched his arm. He was more focused on his lips and what he was saying. ....etc etc etc the guy's a cannibal and a fucking racist , all of you that are supporting him.

Sagamite: Don't mind the person!

If these girls were just one daughter of one PDP big wig, they would have closed down Borno and sent 3 battalions to search for her.

Our baboon in Aso Rock, 4 weeks later, after international outrage, went on air to say he has sent special forces to look for the girls.

This was after Michelle Obama was holding up protests signs to find the girls while the ugly, fat, animal we call first lady was busy bullying parents and teachers as they waka come because she believed no girl was missing and this was all a grand plan to discredit her husband and damage his chances of winning elections.

isn't it curious how certain some people were that no girls had been kidnapped? Doesn't it make you wonder if those same people have (prior) knowledge on the horrors going on in Nigeria? Were they caught out this time because this horror was one they had no previous info on? Curiouser still that it took the usual suspects ("BH" ) about a week or two (about the time it became glaring to even the doubters) to "own" the deed? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm......... ImperialYoruba: Lmao. We made Ijaw a competition for you to dilute your superiority in the East. To achieve anything tangible in your land we subdued your political relevance and made Ijaw your champion. Is that not enough to make you realize we own you?

We turned our lands into your Mecca and gave you civilization to take back to village and boast on, you are not Abakaliki boy anymore, you are now Lagos Boy. Now you dont even speak Ibo when you return to village, Lagos Boys speak in Yoruba, all girls think you are exotic and love your Yoruba accent. grin Dont you know we own you.

You set up shops everywhere and hustle, doing crime to supplement your fake drug and spare parts. You have become a mule. We keep you so high but just when you think you are a son of the soil we load you into bus and deport you. Who owns you?

You make noise about your tax , we tell you suck it up and keep paying, then you say our land is no mans land, so we put a Babaloja to rule over your business to show whose land it is. You are a tool in our hands.

Shut up, face the topic and stop your chest beats. Ijaw is the new majority in the East and Oduah will be kicked out or in lieu we will kick both Ijaw and Ibo out.
Wow! This is unfair...

silentc: Thank you for responding. I appreciate it. I am surely of the opinion that you are FFK as you did not respond in the typical manner i see here (with insults). While you have made valid points, I have to counter and say that the alleged money stolen is not for lack of wanting by previous governments. I do not believe that any other president in the past would have done different if they had the opportunity that GEJ has as per the details in terms of $1.5 billion a day. I honestly do not think any past and potential future president of Nigeria would not do the same.

As a matter of fact, I feel the reason why there is an uproar is because some people are upset as there is so much being stolen and they are not "getting a taste" so they form a group to oust the current thief.

I personally feel this whole discussion is a case of pot calling kettle black. I do not see any option (APC or PDP) solving our issues. It is sad, but this is how I feel. We have heard the same statements you have articulated in the past and nothing different happened when the new political party came into power. So why should it be different now?

I don't think one person can make a change in Nigeria. We need a group of people. A full wipe down from the top. It is surely hard to believe that APC with all the current and former corrupt politicians on its wings are the ones that can do that.

However, thanks for replying to me. I appreciate that.
These are my feelings too especially the bolded. It will be business as usual whichever party wins, so although my vote will be for APC it will not be because I believe there will be much change in the way Nigerians do business sadly. And so I will vote according to where I believe my interests most likely will lie

jmaine: This thread is about his notable and irrefutable achievements while you went off course referring to an utterance in a town hall meeting which to me doesn't hold water if his performance is taken into considerations.

The core North who has been his fiercest antagonist have been immensely touched by GEJ developmental drive, and that to me is more tangible and important than a speech made in a town hall meeting.

Considering the bold . . . . . . it's the truth , but we can positively or negatively influence others in the kind of information we disseminate
Off course or not its my opinion after reading this thread on GEJ achievements. Are people only allowed to post on the thread if the posts are pleasing to you? Also I am not trying to influence anyone, as you seem to have missed it earlier I will say it again- " my personal opinion"

I made my stance pretty clear albeit without insults or mudslinging, where is the stealth in that? As to tribal bias, you say that as though its unheard of in Nigeria, GEJ himself used 'tribal bias' in that 'town hall meeting'..... Anyway, you have your vote and I have mine smiley
PoliticsRe: Another Look At President Jonathan’s Achievements by Howmanage: 8:25am On Jan 06, 2014
If we had lists like this compiled for other administrations then we could compare like for like. However even the compilation of this is impressive to me and many others. Perhaps we are naive. But i wouldn't vote for GEJ simply because he appears not to have my interests at heart. This is what politics is about, you vote for who has your interests as his goals. GEJ publicly has stated his preference of one group of Nigerians over the others and could not be expecting that the others would willingly back him, although some will but I wouldn't for a second term. If he is so brazen about his preferences in his first term, there is no telling what is to come in a second term. My personal opinion
