obekediamondfuto: You know it... PS: for peeps who do not understand the Mexico concept....
Think of it this way.......
"In Mexico, the colour of your car is what you think or choose.... There is no definite colour.. "
Quoted from Obekeblog
For example: I have a red volvo, I wake up one morning and choose another colour (green) for that vehicle.... When I go outside, I'll see that my vehicle is now green.
So if you are purchasing a US used vehicle in Nigeria and the colour during physical inspection differs from VIN report.... Just bear it in mind that the vehicle; before coming to Nigeria, first went to Mexico.....
I had to clarify that for first time visitors
You are welcome on board! To be honest, I do not understand. |

diehard1: If fuel economy is your major criteria, then the 2004 Acura MDX is off your list. It also requires premium fuel and since we don't have that locally the fuel economy is a challenge too.
Other SUVs you can consider are 4 cylinder rav4, CRV, though I don't understand what you mean by leg issues. If it's just regular suspension noise etc, you can fix but if it's the "leg pull" as they call it, then I say you are good to go. The CRV is ok as I ve used it and also owned rav4, V6. Others are Hyundai Tucson, 4 cylinder toyota Highlander, Ford escape Kia Sportage and Mazda tribute. Yes! Fuel economy is important as I consider myself an average earner and want to be able to use the vehicle everywhere. My last vehicle was a Civic 05, hence I know what it means to save fuel. Thank you for helping. |

seanfer: 2007-2010 CRV. Comes with 2.4L i4 Engine. Hyundai Tucson 2006-2009. Comes with 2.0L i4 and 2.7L V6 engines. These 2 will serve you very well and you won’t spend much on fuel. And they’re durable and strong. Tucson looks solid. |

Acura MDX and fuel economy shouldn't be used in the same sentence. Look at a CRV or Rav4, or one of the four cylinder Hyundais. Runs from Acura... |

radautoworks: Every brand has issues like that. In Volvo's case however they are rare. That was a case of mismatched specs. In general, those things last forever. The only reason they weren't as popular was looks and cost. Volvo's are NOT cheap and worth every penny.
For those who being flashy wasn't a primary concern and bought a Volvo, they never traded it in. Now that Volvo has caught up in looks, they are gaining even more enthusiasts (present company included).
I'm torn between the xc90 and Tesla for my next purchase though because of price it's most likely to be the xc90. that is the most versatile and amazing SUV in the market right now for me.
As for the s60 and s80, very popular out here. Thank you for clarifying. |

valarinz: You're a Volvo enthusiast?
Once people begin statements like that, it's a 98% certainty they're about to spill a big lie afterwards.
Another e.g. is "I don't mean to brag but......", just forget it, any thing after that "but" is most certainly bragging.
Now, let's get to your quotes. Volvo XC90 T6 (03-05) models are prone to early transmission failure due to the fact it's just a 4 speed tranny attached to a T6 2.9l twin turbo engine. The reviews you posted are from XC90 T6 owners.
Here, we're discussing Honda accord vs Volvo S60. Now can u tell me how exactly you think you just made sense bringing up reviews of XC90 T6 to argue against an S60. Do we also whip up reviews of a Honda pilot and use it here in place of the Accord?
In your quest to sound intelligent, you keep embarrassing yourself by saying "Volvo is prone to transmission failure", whereas we're talking about a specific model(S60) against it's closest Honda counterpart.
Pls go and Google more and come back better equipped for this debate, as it stands now, you have no point You don't have to pass a message accross by being insolent. Anyway Valarinz, could you in your experience tell me the best Volvo XC90 to buy please. |

valarinz: Lol, the pain is real.
Pls, are you saying I can't find any negative Honda reviews on Edmunds Sir, I am a Volvo enthusiast. I posted it for knowledge sakes. And for people to know the truth. Honda has bad reviews on Leg pull. Volvo is prone to transmission failure. Yes or No? |
