Good day Gazzuzz,

I just bought a 2007 Hyundai Elantra (Naija used). When I did the test drive, it was in the morning and I think I did about 5 miles, the gear selected well, no check engine light, total milage in the car is 129k

I collected the car on Tuesday, drove from Agege to Yaba. On my way back in the evening, the car limped on motion and the check engine light came up. I was able to drive it back home to Agege. I noticed that whenever I'm at a stop and want to move, the car responds sluggishly but after 10 seconds it gains speed again.

Wednesday morning, the drive from Agege was okay again (no check engine) but it limped around Jibowu and the sluggishness started and check engine came up again.

I diagnosed with my Oga's OBD2 and got the PO700 code. Please what would you advise I do?

I don't mind bringing the car to your workshop for a comprehensive diagnosis, repair or replacement.

This is my first car and I don't want just any Kabiru to use me dey chop.

I'm not sure you really read and understood my comments. I clearly pointed out the information he gave could not be "swept under d rug" and noted his efforts should be applauded , is that not saying he gave useful tips�‍♂️. My point was the intention which was based on certain antecedents which you will do good to intimate yourself with. Mine was sometime around 2017,i had just completed my professional exams and it was only natural i start looking for a better job that befits my new qualification..Rearranged my CV and started bombarding marine / shipping companies and their agents with my CV. After about a week, i got a mail from one of them asking me to be in Port Harcourt the next day for an interview. I was excited,couldn't even sleep well,left Uyo very early the next day and got to PH in time..Went straight to the address she asked me to come to,if i had known how this day would turn out to, i probably wouldn't have wasted my time going there.
I got to the gate,security man won't grant me access without getting approval from whoever asked me to come. I spent over 30 minutes trying to call this lady,no response even after the security man assured me that she was inside,decided to call one last time and call it quits,she eventually picked up and gave me the worst attitude / insult i have gotten from any HR Personnel so far. Insulted me for calling her number,i tried to make her understand that i didn't come on my own,just yesterday she sent me an email asking be to come for an interview. I have never felt so embarrassed in my entire life,i apologised for calling,ended the call and cursed her to suffer for 6000 years..Wasted transport,wasted energy,wasted false hope just to come and receive insult... Some HR people totally forget the Human in their Job title

After one call, send a message next time.

I think so far you're the only person that knows what i truly feel about this, I'm not doing this because I'm expecting anything in return from her, infact she has no idea that this is on my mind... I just feel like I'm in a position to help her, so why shouldn't i ?... She's an amazing person and you will definitely Know when someone is into you.

However a close friend of mine advise that i should make my intention about dating known to her first then after she accepts i can ho ahead to buy her a phone if that's what i really want to do, this is so she doesn't feel like she's obligated to say yes to me just because i got her a phone, and i think that will be a more sensible approach.

Like I pointed out, I wasn't a fan of him insinuating the car is faulty or will prove to be a lemon in Nigeria. My only horse in this race is clarifying out that someone who points out verifiable information about a car isn't to be vilified.

I still stand by my words, regardless of his possible intentions. If he points out something factually true (eg: car is a hybrid), there's nothing wrong with that. Anything past that, I don't support.

I'm not looking to lick their asses neither am I expecting insults but I personally do admire these guys;

There's a fine line between providing information and trying to lead people into believing a particular thing. You don't know if that car had it's hybrid system recently replaced or rebuilt or whatever. It's not your place to make such insinuations.
