People of God!!!! I carried the whole thing to their office oo and stayed with them till they fixed it. Airtel has serious tech stack issues.

Just got back home and it's working perfectly, getting consistent 50Mbps

The ZTE is better than the ZLT, aim for -64dBm on signal strength and there won't be speed issues.

How do we aim for -64dBm? What's the settings?

For the past 3 days wallahi i don tire for this constant no Internet access person can't browse for more than 5 to 10 min data access will vanish you have to either disconnect and reconnect or reboot this is very frustrating

Got the solution here. Log into the IDU web ui(192.168.18.1), go to wifi settings and disable single SSID.

I don pack my own up. I hv another Nokia ODU I am using, so I hv no need for two active subscriptions. I can see that's the developer portal on the new ODU. What code did you use to gain access to the developer page. I saw it while exploring the ODU but didn't enter it cos it required a password I didn't know.

It's just the normal default 'admin' password I used.

Every1 that are having problems with Airtel network issues, should try this settings

in your internet settings, change your network band to 7... U can also check the bands one after the other to know which one is better, after that go to the settings , you will see 4g settings.. change form 4g lock to Wcdma and press okay

Pls let me know if it works for you because I have helped lot of ppl in my area with the settings and they are enjoying it

Finally found the settings in the new 5G router. What and what do I tweak for a better network cos mine here is too unstable

No Internet it's not browsing at all

If the smart box has an ethernet port, he should use it instead of wireless connection

Use 192.168.254.1 login and then go to messages. You will receive your OTP there.

I have similar problem. Want to register my ODU on the Airtel app but in my case, they used my mtn line as my alternate number. So no OTP is coming to the MTN number nor is any coming to the airtel IP you dropped.

all these are simple router settings. Go in there take a look and message around with some of the settings. You can easily reset to default if ut doesn't work. And the IDU is just a router. Have anybody tried connecting an external router to the airtel ODU?

Is there any settings you can recommend for better and improved speed?

This new ZTE ODU has an annoying habit of disconnecting from devices. And it happens multiple times a day. Today alone it happened more than 8 times.

And it's only the WiFi that disconnects cos the Ethernet powered devices still work.

Anyone got any solution?

So the numbers you will dial are 1 and 9.

The secret is to wait for them to finish saying whatever they are saying in each case before dialing.
1. Dial 300 and wait until they finish talking.
2. Press 1 and wait until they finish all those talks.
3. In-between, then will say you should press 9 to speak with agents. At this point, don't press 9 yet.
4. Press 9 when they are done talking, and your call will be forwarded.

I just called and, as we were talking, the CC agent started saying he was not hearing me when I could hear him clearly.

I think my problem is I used the Sim in my Mifi to try the 300. Cos when I used My neighbors Airtel Sim it connected. They Sha told me it'll be resolved before 72hours.

Meanwhile, you should call 300. That's CC for a the networks.

Maybe after calling them severally, they do something about it. They no longer do it to me but I just checked now and they are yet to return my sub to its normal expiry date which they reduced.

I've been calling 300 since morning. There's no single option to speak to a rep. I've just been on a merry go round with that their dial 2 for this or 3 for that

Who knows fastest way to reach Airtel Customer service?

I just woke up to see my router doesn't have Internet. Checked with *323# and I was told I don't have any bundles left. I've only used this thing for 10 days

For us living in "the other way", to get ODU Sim is the least of our worries, apparently.

So I will definitely get this new ZTE version next month when my current sub expires. Downside is that I will have to endure one month of esim use.

Is there any specific advantage with having the normal sim version?

And how do I check if mine is E sim or normal sim. I'm using the new ZTE version

Same here, Enugu has just been terrible since Thursday, one moment speed is blazing, the next it's at a snail's pace. Very frustrating.

Over here, sometimes rebooting the router helps restore the speed

You are not alone. It's been terrible since 3:30pm or thereabout

Please house, my router network trips off time to time and this happens multiple times in a day. Any solution as to how I can make the network stable without going off ?

Mine does same. Network will just disappear. The router will still show all the network signals but it'll disappear from devices. Till I unplug and replug it.

Buy the attached, then get an Ethernet cable and use it to run the connection
