Felicity001: What ever you don't have evidence on should be better left unsaid.
Was your sister dying on her sick bed? No!
Even the doctors treating her had to leave to attend to people with gun shot wounds according to you, you could have at least take a minute video explaining to your sister why its was important.
Like you said the governor was coming frequently with soldiers to make sure no one takes video recordings, was he there b4 they started bringing in people into the emergency hall?
Since you were in the hospital at that hour you should have known from knowledge of what has been on ground for almost 2weeks and also from the sounds of gun shots and also when you started seeing people being brought into the emergency ward that some serious was going on. With the age abd time of social media a right thinking person would've brought out his phone to take a short video b4 any authorities had walked in to stop people from making a video. Unless you want to tell us you were the one down with toothache that night.
So I'm sorry keep quiet, I don't doubt your claim but yiur foolishness is dispicable, if I where you I wouldn't have said I saw anything. Oga take it easy. See the way you are telling him what he should have done From the comfort of your house, because you've had time to sit and think. As if you always do the most logical things in all conditions. Coulda woulda shoulda. |

My dad, a retired Pentecostal Reverend spent a fortune on books, old books. 90 percent of them are religious books which nobody has opened for the better part of 25 to 30 years now.
Not that we the children are averse to reading, but this is the digital age, the age of PDF drive. For instance, he has the complete volumes of Matthew Henry's commentary. I've got same in my laptop, it's not more than 8MB. There are many instances of this.
Dad, 76 this year, and mum are planning to relocate to the new house built for them in the village. I'm the last child, I'll take over this present apartment and refurbish it to taste.
Only problem is what to do with these books. The shelves, 4 of them, are occupying criminal amounts of space.
Does anyone know any agency or company that'll have an interest in these religious books? Will state or federal libraries have any interest in old religious books?
Mods, please help me move to front page.

Romance › Re: What's Your Worst First Date Experience? by Hullabaloon: 12:54am On Apr 09, 2021 |
KingOzigi: I've had two unforgettable dates...
1st was with this girl I was trying to Behind up since she's below who I want in terms of exposure. I loved her innocence and naivety plus I believed everything was possible...... I should have known better.
So I dressed up for the date after prior notice to her and then invited her to my house to make my points clearer and also present her an opportunity to see my outfit and at least dress in compliance since I know she hasn't done that before.
I got to the venue and put a call through and she asked me to wait that she'll soon be on her way...... I shouldn't have waited.
Lo and behold her call came through, she's at the gate of the venue and I should come pick her up. Her outfit could make a frog puke, so carelessly dressed, so below casual, so terrible.
I sha let it go and welcomed her like a gentleman will do, hugged and all the PDA happened so at least I can get her comfortable around me in an eatery.
Took her to her seat and asked what she'll like to have, babe said she's not having anything that she's full. Headache catch me immidiately. Like, what's a date for? To come and sit down and talk? I insisted she had something, she was adamant. I sha ordered for drinks, energy drink hoping it could loosen her up since she's being uptight and a teetotal. Babe was serious o even after opening drinks that I was just wasting my money, she won't take water sef.
Long story short, I had to take all the drinks alone, I can't come and waste money.
Just when I was about going to foot bills, babe stood up and was feeding her eyes carelessly from the eatery's window. I was embarrassed tbh. That was the last time I spoke to her.
2nd date was something else, menstruation came through and I had to be her shield all through till we got home. Very heavy flow and there was no place to get tampon. I wasn't really embarrassed like the first one. I even loved the fact that I was of assistance all through the menstrual dilemma. I think I loved this girl more than I ever loved any girl. She seemed like a perfect partner to me At the bolded. Yes, that's exactly what a date is. A time for the couple to sit and discuss at length, get to know each other very well. Of course, there should be light refreshment. Don't have the mentality of hungry Nigerian girls that dating is a time to eat what you've never eaten. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Chris Mocked For Claiming To Reach 5 Billion People Worldwide by Hullabaloon: 7:24am On Mar 29, 2021 |
GraceUdueni: So this is a short note to as many that has been saying all sorts as regards the 5.3billion mark that we hit as a ministry during the just concluded GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYERS WITH PASTOR CHRIS & PASTOR BENNY HINN.
It’s quite unfortunate that the people saying all sorts are Christians This explanation is very unnecessary but I think I have to do this.
So this is it…. Our records are not limited to just internet & Tv users alone because ur basis of disputing this fact is that internet users worldwide are just bout 4.7bn & 1.7bn for TV stations.
The fact is During major programs like the one that just concluded with pastor Chris almost every cell in the ministry does an outreach.
For example during the last Healing Streams with pastor Chris me & two of my members went to the General hospital in our locality, took permission from the Admin & went to all the wards to stream the program. We were able to stream to 6 different wards with attendance of @least 20 persons in each ward. We made use of 6 different smart phones & bluetooth speakers ensuring maximum participation.. I remember that faithful day I got home bout 11pm.
That same hour another cell was at a shopping mall named shop fair, using projector & speaker’s, ensuring everyone present gets to connect to the program… these outreaches took place everywhere a Christ embassy church is situated.
So now lets do the maths
Just my cell alone reached out to at the very least 120 persons. & We have over 100cells in our Group multiplied by how many Christ embassy churches around the globe. Can u beat that
This is aside other ministers of the gospel that are not even in Christ Embassy but ensure that during programs like these their members are connected.
To think that we’ve not even considered the fact that we bought the airtime of as many Tv/radio stations u can think of both in Nigeria & beyond
Then the fact that we streamed live on different channels on youtube, facebook etc.
& also on our Various Live Tv apps, websites & stations.
Even if u are doubting our figures do u doubt the word of God The bible recorded that this gospel will be preached as a witness in every nation & then shall the end come. & if u are truthful to ur self u will agree with us that the end is here. The signs are everywhere.. BE WOKE O.. STOP THESE UNNECESSARY ARGUMENTS. THE TIME IS TOO SHORT TO PLAY AROUND. LOVE GOD & DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS THE RAPTURE So, 5 out of every 7 person watched it across the world at that time? Let's assume the 2.3 billion Christians worldwide all watched it, which I know it ain't remotely close to that, Do u know the world Moslem and atheist population? So, 50 percent of them watched it too? It's inconceivable that someone somewhere wants to defend this outrageous claim. The gospel will surely get to the ends of the earth but not 5billion at once. |

Discombulator: another typical Nigerian youth incapable of critical thinking, it is common sense. I'm sorry for you if you think this life ends with the things you can see, or feel. I worked with one of the major transport companies in this country. I've sat among drivers gisting about paranormal activities they encounter along the highways during night journeys. Note, they are not telling me o. Just gisting among themselves. Or how can you explain that anytime the highly occultic company owner is to release new fleet of buses, there must be an accident that will claim a drivers life. It's been consistently happening for 15 years at a stretch. But wait o. Are you trying to say that our politicians are do not dabble in occultism? You think they are normal men who just depend on police for security? Have you not been born when the Bakassi boys of the late 90's were openly operating with charms? Or during the days of Eddie nawgu? When I was in secondary school, my state, an eastern state, hosted the national cultural festival, hence our school hostel was used as one of the lodges for people coming from other states. We were told to go home pending when the guests will finish. It was the Hausa-Fulanis that occupied our hostels. One Saturday, I went to collect something I had forgotten in my cupboard, and saw these cultural performers rehearsing. What I saw with my two eyes that day, I've never seen before. A man will stab his eyes with a dagger and nothing will happen. I saw a levitating object for the first time ever. Bros, forget o. There are things that defy logic. The supernatural exists full time. |

Mode4: I studied human anatomy in University of Calabar. I did msc anatomy (uniport). I have heard stories of dead bodies in gross lab (where students carry out dissections of dead bodies) and in embalment rooms. I use to read In gross lab with those dead bodies around me. I will even fall asleep sometimes. I never saw or felt anything.
When we studied mortuary techniques in yr 3, we were taught how to embalm corpses by specialized morticians, and they never told us any of these things. We didn't knock any door when we went to gross lab to dissect those bodies or when I visited embalment rooms to harvest organs or learn embalment techniques.
Those stories we hear are fictitious and superstitious. Though I am not into embalment but I have colleagues who are embalmers, and they have always debunked those stories.
The devil and his wicked demons can take up the images of the dead to cause confusion and tell us things. Some may even tell us or reveal certain secrets to us, I don't have any doubt. Your last paragraph contradicts the one above it. |

zikter: If only you paid attention to the 20vs12 you quoted, you would have discovered he didn't lie actually.
Sarah and Abraham shared the same father but different mothers. While on the other hand, he did not disclose that Sarah was his wife for the fear of being killed, he said she was his sister which on the other hand was the truth. I believe this is the reason why he was not punished by God. In Abraham’s case his so-called “half-truth” was a whole lie, for the question he was asked was, “Is Sarah your wife?” And his answer in effect was really “No. She is my sister.” By this answer to this question Abraham intentionally misrepresented the facts of the situation, which is a lie. |

oglalasioux: When is it necessary to lie?
When the truth injures and the lie hurts no one.
Even God asked Samuel to lie because it was necessary. (1 sam. 16, 2-3) Lol. God did not ask Samuel to lie. God cannot lie, and cannot encourage lies. He simply asked Samuel to conceal the other reason for his visit. Have you come in peace? Samuel was asked. “I have come to sacrifice to the Lord” he answered, which was one of the things he came to do. If, however, he was asked to state all the reasons for his visit, then we can say he lied. |
