go into the router settings and check if it has an update, if it doesn’t then either the router is not wifi 6 capable or your phone is not WiFi 6 compatible.

Most Samsung phones will show 6 on the wifi signal bar, which is wifi 6.

This is S23 connected to X25pro.

When I first checked, it was on 5. Now it's on 4

I finally got my ODU today. It's a brand new version different from the ones all of you are using. So new even the installers had initial difficulty in setting it up. But it's all up and running now.

It has an Ethernet port and cable so I plugged in my smartbox hoping it will work by but it's not. It recognises that ethernet was plugged in but it doesn't show any network.

When I go to network settings inside the smartbox, I see this. Dunno what to input there that might make this work. Or even what to tweak in the router settings

In case you are unable to get an adapter with a USB A male, then you will need a USB Type C female to USB type A male converter, like the one in the screenshot below

For those having issues, the ODU Subscription plan is no longer available i.e 25k for 50MBps and 45k for 100MBps. What's available now is just the regular 30k for 20MBps etc

Is it a temporal problem? Or permanent?

Has anyone used their ODU more than 2 weeks? Been going through people's experiences on Twitter and 90 percent of people are saying it becomes frustrating after two weeks.

The reviews are really that bad and terrible.

I disabled 5G on the ODU, so it's strictly 4G+ now, and I am getting the full upload speed

Does the upload speed have any gainful effect on streaming?

dude it depends on how good Airtel is in your area. I get 4 of 5bars of network service on my router and I stream 1080p without buffering.

On the 25mbps plan.

I did a speed test with normal Airtel data and I got this. Does it mean the speed is good in my area?

Later got mine yesterday, and the installer came to fix it in the evening.

It was Esim though, the sim number is written on the box. There's a barcode on the inside-unit to just scan and recharge for subsequent months.

But I heard from someone that there's even a sim port inside it for physical sim when one is done with the first month. I'll try to take the ODU down and see whether the port is actually there. The manual shows it is there though.

Have you tried live streaming with it?

Has anyone tried live stream with theirs?

I'm only planning to get the ODU cos I want to ditch DSTV. Wanna know if it handles 720p or 1080p content flawlessly

The truth is, in Nigeria, the work ethics are terrible, the orientation is awful so when they move abroad, it affects them badly. And when they have no option other than doing things the right way, it pisses them off. Lol

Never thought anyone would really rival Eva Green in the dark arts of portraying one haunted by the Crown Prince of Death— Dracula himself. No one has ever convinced me of being born for a role playing a troubled soul terrorised by the 'forces of darkness' in the horror genre like Eva Green did in Penny Dreadful, before.
Lily Rose Depp delivered a career defining performance, no doubt, and one that surely puts her on the map of Hollywood producers as a top actress and a leading woman. Never thought she had it in her, but she has shown dedication to her craft. And I respect her for this after this performance.

On a normal day, and without the burden of being a hard R rated horror flick, Lily Rose would have easily earned an Academy nomination for her troubles for this film.

Nicholas Hoult continues to show me more variety of his acting chops with each project. He's talented. More squirmy and believable. A more rounded and genuine delivery than Keanu Reeves' rather performative acting.

Willem Dafoe continues to show why he's GOATED as one of the best veteran actor still working the game. The right chops and slight touch of m@dness that you would expect from the character; one of the main reason why Eggers doesn't seem to be able to stop casting Sir Willem Dafoe — his mastery of such character is just unmatched.

Bill Skarsgard definitely writes his name in the history books with such deft performance. I like his performance more than that of Gary Oldman in the '1992' Dracula movie. Bill is more terrifying and menacing than Gary's that's more of a commanding presence.


A true masterpiece and an instant Classic. This I must say is Robert Eggers Magnum Opus. This guy needs to be choked full with projects to give us more of these Gothic goodness.
I don't think anyone matches Robert Eggers with the finesse at which he portrays dread and intrigue in the horror genre. His direction shone really bright in this movie and gave the story the personality it needed to distinguish itself from every other horror flick and adaptations of Bram Stoker's famed tale.

I can boldly say he's the Stanley Kubrick of our time. The crème de la Crème of auteur filmmakers.

If not for the massive world building and familiarity with the characters DUNE PART TWO had built, as well as the impeccable production quality, I would have crowned this movie the BEST of 2024.

The cinematography of this film is top notch (easily one of the best), breathtaking lighting and production quality. I love the colour palette— I don't think a desaturated look has looked this good in my eyes before; perfectly fitting with the times and adds to the tale and feel of the movie. Top tier writing; a chilling and unflinching score, inch perfect with premium dexterity immersing you in the moment.

This is what a Gothic horror spectacle entails and it over delivered!! An instant Classic.

I wanted to watch it but found some reviews on Google saying it's a boring movie. Some said it's the worst 2 hours of their lives.

What would you say about that? And, I'm usually someone that loves fast moving action movies. Should I watch this?

I've heard whispers that marrying from your place is ridiculously expensive. Including something they call ''nvuvu n nkwanwite''. Don't know what that means.

One lady from Izzi told me to budget around 4 to 5m for traditional rites if I'm marrying from Edda. That there are some ridiculous stuff I'll buy for uncles and relations of the girl.
