This reminds me of a criminal's defence. A criminal was once arrested for a heinous crime. Even though the evidence of his guilt was overwhelming, he wanted to defend himself rather than have faith in professionals. He decided to use the following defence.

1. He had never seen the judge, so he concluded that he didn't exist.
2. The judge that he didn't believe existed, was immoral.
3. The law books were full of contradictions.
4. The criminal, despite his crimes and guilt, thought he was a good person.

Jesus paid the fine of eternal death that we owe, it's either you accept that the demands of your sins have been met or you meet them yourself on Judgment day.



"But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is you be darkness, how great is that darkness" (Matthew 6:23).



You are partly right there, it's either you allow your sins to be paid for or you will have to "account for your deeds all by yourself"
