We will play and either win or lose. Kai!
like the serbia game....?
it so much pains me...that we barely have midfieders that can barely pass well....connect the midfield with the attack....

Who is the AM you suggest? Nwakali? based on a holiday match? Let the boy grow.

This is the same way we hyped Haruna Lukman based on friendly performances and he was invisible in the WC proper.
I have always suggest nwakali not because of the athletico match.....
how about trying iwobi in that role...keep playing him there instead...let him master that role....proper.
left with iwobi and etebo...rohr will rather player the latter as 10...
that annoys me......

exactly. It is too late, better to focus on what we have in the team
you're right it is too late.
after watching the eufa my fear stems from the question....what if mikel becomes unavailable to play during the mudial?
how will the midfield look like?

well...let's hope for the best.

No, negligence by your FA cost you the Algerian game

Ebuehi has not played games for a while. He needs the minutes to get to his best
and not to try get him killed in that port Harcourt rough pitch...
why can't rohr let him play the first half only...sub him for another player in the second half....?
I am particularly angry with rohr...because that match ought to be an opportunity for us to watch ebuehi play..... even at that it would put a stop to the dutch FA Chase of the service of the young man.

Those invited ahead of them cannot bring to the table what they can. Are you really happy with the quality of football you have seen from thia team this year? If the Chan team played the sort of atrocious footie these guys have served up in these friendlies, you wouldn't have been forgiven. I know you na.
God bless you my brother....
from what watched in the eufa champion's league....
the super eagles will go far as mikel can go......

Joel needs to calm down, he has been a shadow of his former self.
rohr had all the time to sort this out...right from the south Africa match...we lost.
we need a good AM...
but the coach seems to be preoccupied in trying etebo and co in AM role...expecting them to give what they don't have.....

should anything happen to mikel the team will be in serious mess....

Nwakali this and that, how many of you expressed this confidence in him when the list was out? Many people here were even saying he hasn't played for a while, lower division, blah blah blah.

It is easy to judge a player based on one game. Nigerian fans do that all the time, but it is also foolish.
Babe relax.....the connectivity of the midfield with the attack is serious lacking whenever mikel is off pitch....
playing etebo there is like have 10 players on the pitch....he barely give a thorough pass upfront.... so what's the need?
though it is a bit late now...I have always harp on the need to include that lad on the 30-35 man list...because of his good passing accuracy nd vision upfront.

so I still believe him in being in that team far better than having the likes of Agbo and co.
too many DMs in this team.

maybe we can name him twice. but rohr should have subbed him out at first half. that kind of risk can be costly. he should not even play that england match.
that coach sometimes thinks wayside...
his poor decision cost us the Algeria match....

Where should we play him then?
he should play in the flanks or CM role....if he can't play any of those role...then he should be dropped. for now only mikel and iwobi should get play the 10 role.....

it is so painful that rohr gonna orchestrate his own failure with a wrong selection...in the final watch.......

Lokosa can’t be dropped for now
Etebo was poor. He has his chances to strengthen his case, but he squandered them.
etebo is not an attacking midfielder... playing him in the middle is like giving a dog a bad name...just to get it hanged.

nwakali will even do better in the middle compare to him....
we can't keep shying away from this...we need a good AM some one close to mikel calibre....

apart from d guyz in d middle d test hv given a good account of themselves, ebuehi has bn wonderful, very pacy and solid so far. I don't know why our midfield without Mikel is always looking like dis, is it not d same pitch ebuehi and d rest are playing. we all know d Litchfield is bad, bt it dosent stop dem from stringing good forward passes.

Nigeria Italy USA 94.

Amokachi and Amuneke taken out,
I told.someone I was watching the match with...
that to win the world cup...all players on the pitch..need to be almost on same level
reason why Germany won last world cup...

you can't afford to depend on 1 or 2 players to get things done...
because players like ramos, payet, matuidi will always raise their ugly head to wreck havoc...

it happened to Brazil last time.....as soon as neymar got injured Brazil became ordinary...
that's why I can vividly stake my claim that Germany or Spain will likely win this world cup....... and the likes of Argentina and Portugal will never win it.

football has gone beyond the individual thing but now a collective venture....it ended in 2002 one...star player Doing all for his country.

Brazil vs Colombia... neymar injured.

I think if Mikel is not available then Iwobi can do it cos am seeing Iwobi starting from his right position with Mikel as AM.

Now, the beauty of this team is in the versatility. A couple of players can also play the AM role: Iwobi, Etebo, Iheanacho, and Joel. You may argue they are not up to par with Mikel in that position but thay remain options.
you're right...I will first take iwobi for that role...then nancho.
the rest two can stay play CM.

Croatia's coach thinks that we are their toughest opponents.

“The first match against Nigeria will be the key to our group. We are playing against an African team. They have a German coach that has changed the style of their game and has introduced a lot of young players in the national team who are young, hungry and ambitious and that’s their advantage. This is going to be the toughest game for us,” Zlatko Dalic stated
every coach who loves his job will take the super eagles serious....
if the team.B of the super eagles...like one statement on YouTube..
that should Nigeria draw up a 50 man list for Russia none of those players who played against athletico would get a call up....

same team played a beautiful football against the European champions..... I tell you bro...if i was an opponent coach I will be scared....

Some times we make hasty conclusions here.
yeah...there is always human error...
simmy I believe brings something we may need in this team...I don't really know how good he is aerially considering his height.... and also he is a player that can use his legs well...too.
let's see how he fare in those friendlies...
kayode and co are more like Ighalo kind of striker.... so we need something different reason why some of US then wanted Tammy Abraham.... and later switched to Paul onaucha and sadiq Umar....
sometimes good you have tall strikers too...

Eagles Stars Ekong, Balogun Make A Dash For Orphanage Before Final Training In Uyo

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Super Eagles central defenders William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun made a dash for an orphanage home before the start of the national team's final workout at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The foreign-born duo visited the Mother Charles Walker Children's Home, Anua in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday morning and brought with them goodies for the kids.
Ekong and Balogun donated a big refrigerator, Indomie Noodles, bags of rice, toiletries, towels, toothbrushes, sponges, beverages and other food stuff items to the orphanage home.

They interacted with the kids and took pictures with them, and also spoke with the reverend sister in charge of the Catholic facility close to St Luke's Hospital Anua.
Shortly after their visit to Mother Charles Walker Children's Home, they headed to the stadium for the Super Eagles morning training session on the pitch.

Balogun and Troost-Ekong had been eligible to represent Germany and the Netherlands respectively but opted to play for Nigeria at senior level.
