Nigeria Squad Update : Aaron Samuel Replaces Injured Arsenal Star Iwobi, Agbo Called Up
Published: August 27, 2017

CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel has been handed a late invitation to the Nigerian national team ahead of their World Cup qualifying match against African champions Cameroon.
Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi has withdrawn from the squad due to an undisclosed injury and the Nigerian Federation moved quickly to invite Samuel, who was initially placed on the standby list.
The 23-year-old frontman has not figured for the Super Eagles since June 13, 2015 when he lasted 62 minutes on the pitch in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.
Standard Liege defensive midfielder Uche Agbo has also received a late invitation from the Nigerian Federation.
Both players are expected to arrive the national team's training camp as from Monday, August 28.

Ex Nigeria U23 Invitee Has Contributed To The Most Goals In Belgian Top-Flight
Published: August 27, 2017

Former Nigeria U23 invitee Peter Olayinka is adapting to his new surroundings at Zulte-Waregem, with the striker netting for the second consecutive game in their 3-2 loss to Sporting Charleroi on Saturday evening.
Zulte-Waregem were 1-0 up at the break thanks to Peter Olayinka's 44th minute strike, after he was teed up by De Pauw.
The 21-year-old has now contributed to eight goals (2 goals, 6 assists) from five matches in the league so far this season, more than any other player in the Belgian top-flight.
It is worthy of note that Olayinka has started all the matches contested by Zulte-Waregem in the new season, logging 534 minutes.
The in-form attacker is spending the whole of this season at Zulte-Waregem on loan from Gent.

Hahahahahah! What is uncultured? If I no go school e concern you? grin

The cultured one, tell me why Onyekuru is better than Simon Moses and Ahmed Musa? grin

I hope you answer with sense with all the education you have acquired? grin Mr Cultured and tribalism. grin
you've proved it true....that common sense is indeed a flower that does not grow in every man's garden...

just take a look at yourself.....
go back and read my comments and replies I never for once make case for onyekuru better than musa or Simon Moses in these all important cameroon clash....

I only advocated for the inclusion of yinka, Dennis, dressiers and kayode inclusion but after the debate wit sir icon4s I rested my case believing that these players time will come....

I understand you're trying to blackmail me as a tribalist unfortunately I don't share same ethnic group wit onyekuru and many of these players....

my love for nacho and others are simply born out of their potentials and talents...

because by tribe.....I am very far from them...I am not an ibo neither do I speak the dialect I have never been to southeast.

I have opposed the inclusion of players from my ethnic group here.....when it is obvious and glaring to me that they've little or nothing to offer....

I know these won't make sense....to you
but I just want you to try behave yourself as much as you can....

1- How do you know your parents never did? Did you ask them?
2- Even if yes, You better align yourself with your current generation's realities. People of this generation are more open-eye than previous and demand more experiences from their lovers. If your woman one day has to ask you to suck dat ting (as if she should even ask) and you are forming "my father and his father before him only did one thing one way like this", na your own fault what transpires years down the line of that relationship.

None of these players got immediate call up when they started performing. Why should Olayinka's case be different? That's where the sentiments really is. Iheanacho has earned his place in the team he won't get fizzled out over night. Suck it in. This is not a case of anyone hating on a specific player. We all know how it took Odey a while before he got his chance. Olayinka's case won't be different. For now Onyekuru is already in the SE set up. Olayinka should wait to grab his chance. Let's all stop this A versus B argument. There is no foul play in selection, in the first place. If you believe otherwise try to pass your message to the appropriate quarters instead of nagging on an ordinary forum like nairaland
bro...you're wasting your time talking to him.
I have already made know...the reason for his argument...simply looking at the names of the players will tell you that.

That's d truth, half fit Keshi was in US 94 squad at d expense of fully fit Isaac Semitoje, half fit Amokachie was in France 98 ditto to Amuneke who made Atlanta 96 despite lack of fitness

in any team we always have special consideration but Kayode has not merit such consideration. No coach w drop Nacho for now coz his pedigree is high and its better to have fit Nwakaeme over half fit Kayode coz they belong to d same class.
God bless you my brother....
from all indications I can see the rationale for the call of nwakeme over kayode even kayode handlers confirmed it....

but some peeps here won't reason it...
recently the Europa and ucl qualifiers and we see these lad nwakeme bag in goals....
but kayode hasn't play for a while just recently he got a 10 minutes debut against A Madrid...
if we keep arguing about this...how about Isaac success.....the beast who had over 30 minutes play time during the week and even contributed in his team goal....

sometimes I just can't deduce why some advocate for some players from just a certain part of the country as if their lives depend on it...and even go insult the German coach.....

the underlying rationale for such disposition I still can't deduce....
