Icon4s: In fact when I watched the replay of that Matuidi tackle I was so annoyed with Mikel.
The ref acted mostly based on Mikel's nonchalant reaction and awarded Matuidi only a Yellow. he really messed up... I don't know if it was inferiority complex.. I still remember how C Ronaldo intoxicated the ref to give Rooney a red card in 2006 world cup...despite them being team mates... I mikel really messed up...I watch him during the match...against Bosnia how he was forming friendship wit Dzeko... nonsense...even osaze never did that wit the Bosnian goal keeper despite them both playing for stoke city... I think now he has matured...he should act a leader to defend his colleagues and put their interest first |

komekn: I would really like to see Nwakeme come in for Ighalo in the second half. Another fired up striker angry with a point to prove, but who brings something different than KC.
Like to see Etebo come in at one stage depending how the game progresses.
Aina is not a left wing back, but may give is something more than Echiejile who is good reads the game well good positional sense. But right now he is lacking pace and Cameroon know this. A bit of a risk but our options are limited unless you put Etebo there.
Or how you see am. You're very right sir...on your assesment of elderson... I will want etebo...to start from the flanks... either in place of Moses Simon.... and agu in place of ndidi and ogu later come in for Mikel.... nwakeme should start in place of ighalo.. Aina should start...and musa in the second half for V Moses.... the truth about this squad every player have something unique to offer.... |

mickeymimi: women cheat too Once someone cheats on you they find it easy to repeat the experience.......we all know that cheating is an indirect communication..........I'm afraid, it's the worst thing partner could ever do, If they aren't happy then say so and go...it's common sense...unless you're that desperate and don't mind being disrespected and cheated on........
..don't forget that some people are addicts......You can't reason with an illness....

komekn: I was at a premiership team this morning to watch a youth game U18 and at least 7 players were of Nigeria origin.
Possibly i visit Germany 2/3 times a year maybe more cant really remember, i don't see a lot of games but i notice that there are not many black boys compared to UK. But apart from that i don't want to comment by hearsay, i have first hand experience of the English game at all levels.
June or thereabouts i watched Chelsea U18 beat Liverpool U18, 2-1 at one stage every Chelsea player apart from the goal keeper was black, that can never happen in Germany. Within both teams up to 9 players of Nigerian origin at my estimation, and that's just one game. A much, much, much bigger pool of talent available in the UK of Nigerian origin players.
With regards to Seyi yeah...I understand you perfectly...when you said they're more players of Nigeria origin in UK compared to Germany or they're more blacks in football colleges and teams in England than Germany.... what i want from you...is to be more open and broad in your analysis of players of Nigeria origin...break loose from that parochial perception.... sorry me saying this....it's like you believe the only good players of nigeria origin are in the uk....an undue preference for borough players.... I so much like your analysis and it is an honour having someone of your calibre in our midst.... but still.....know that...good players of Nigeria origin are not only in england but all litered around Europe.... |

komekn: I really do not know much about Jordan so I cannot comment with any depth, is he naturally left footed ?
However, Seyi yes, when looking at top flight left wing backs you discover they are naturally left footed. Are any of these players naturally left footed Ebuehi is not neither is Shehu or Aina.
That puts Seyi at a distinct advantage. Then we can consider the level they are playing at, Seyi is an England youth international his pathway is restricted by multi million pound players ahead of him at Liverpool FC, none the less he has played 13 times for the first team and 30 plus games in the championship on loan.
Shehu, I think is an excellent player cannot understand why he plays in Cyprus, he needs to be tested at a higher level. Ebuehi has played 50 games in the Eredivisie in lower rate club Den Haag, its not on the same level as the EPL or even some companionship clubs. However, none of these players are naturally left footed that is the pertinent question.
Seyi is not a conversion he is already playing as a left sided winger, so he is only dropping back to be more defensive as a wing back.
Watching Echiejele struggle with pacy wingers, although he used his experience and tenacity to compensate, nonetheless, he exposes a weak link in the SE left side defensive set up . getting Jordan play for us...Will be more easier...than getting sheyi... moreover bro...try to get used to other Nigeria players outside the shores of England.. I understand we can't fully separate "values" from our analysis or preference.... |

I understand that ebuehi is still very young... and he won't have been able to face the cameroonians or perfectly match for Africa football.... but he should get his chance....you never can tell....he may prove useful playing against non Africans opposition...play in the Dutch league weekly is not beans |

Icon4s: IMO that right back position would likely be a battle between Shehu and Aina. If any of the two gets the nod from the coach let him play.
We don't need to be experimenting unnecessarily in the defence. We need cohesiveness ahead of the world cup so we must have a regular back line. Yes we can have back ups and give them game time only when the regulars are not available.
We can test players more in the more forward positions. don't be surpised...ebuehi might even better than Shehu in that role...but you will.never know if he does not get to play... he should get to play and let's see what he tends to offer....or.possibly tried in other positions.... |

Leon Balogun can help lead a new generation of defenders in the Super Eagles. I hope Awaziem learnt a thing or two from him. yes you're very right . if he had been around for that long... he would have been the assistant captain to mikel... he has that leadership trait in him.... |

TheGoodJoe: Leon Balogun. Now this is a leader in the making. I hope he stays fit because we need him playing regularly. He was one player that gave his all. The highlight of his play was his slide tackle on the left side of the defence after Echiejile let Bassogog free. The pace, determination and grit was mind blowing.
He mad brilliant interceptions, tackles and his long ground passes from the defence to build up play was impressive.
Made little mistakes but his overall contribution was golden.
My nominee for future Super Eagles captain. my pain is that....he was discovered late... he is very close to his 30s now... had it been he was still way younger it would have been so perfect.... |
