BascoVanVeli: Iheanacho transfer saga: Ex-agent arrives UK, rejects N254m settlement
Representatives of First Eleven Manage-ment have arrived in the United Kingdom to attend a court hearing over a breach of contract by Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and English-based agency Stellar Group.
Despite suggestions that Manchester City and Leicester City are still in talks over the signing of the Nigeria international, an agreement was reached long ago but the Foxes have been instructed not to announce his signing until a judgement is passed.
Kelechi Iheanacho has offered to pay his former agents 540,000 pounds (equivalent of N254 million) as out-of-court settlement, but the American based agency are demanding three million pounds (N1.4 billion) or nothing before they wash their hands off the case. The Super
Eagles star was alleged to have got himself into this mess by signing an agreement with Stellar Group despite having an existing contract with First Eleven Management. Iheanacho was convinced to tear up his contract with First Eleven Management by some Nigerian-based agents in
England (names withheld) and one of his friends who used to work for the American agency without pay. The friend , who lives in the same house with Iheanacho, used to drive the striker to training shortly after he joined the Manchester City Academy. He worked against First
Eleven Management after he was financially compensated to the tune of 100,000 pounds by individuals claiming to represent Stellar Group. Mindful of the fact that they could be banned from doing football business, Stellar Group have claimed that Kelechi Iheanacho approached them, and not the other way around.

I don't take nairaland seriously as if the coach comes on here to take our suggestions. For someone to think that agents would come here. To convince who Na? Our opinions will differ but all out points here has no power over what will happen because we are just on the Internet giving our two cents -- that's all. why are u taking my quotes so personal.... read my reply and see....I only asked a question. |

tbaba1234: Peter Olayinka had 3 assists on his competitive debut for Zulte waregem. Walloped Eupen 5:0.. He played from the wings. Nigerians will never stop amaze me... to think that some of us here are clamouring for old legs to be infused into the team....while we have young and vibrant players all litered across Europe playing good football.... kalu, dressier olayinka and Dennis are serial jokers rohr should give a trial...should we qualify prior the Zambia and Algeria game..... |

Joebie: Team building is a continuous process. I've made my case for Emenike especially is has to do with the Cameroon encounter. Clint Dimsey played his part in USA's recent Gold cup win despite being a veteran, this will in no way stunt the growth of the upcoming young players. These things are not black or white. please forget emenike....will he stay on the bench for the likes of nacho, and others....? |

Mickael2: But Osaze said he is working towards playing at the World Cup and we have always known that Osaze performs better for Nigeria than his clubside, so if he is doing so well there, what do you think he will do for us?
For clarity purpose, I am clamouring for the recall of Enyeama, Osaze and Martins to replace Ezenwa, Oshimen and some other dead weight(there are many of them there anyways) so you think...oshimen is dead weight? you never seems to amaze me..... just forget these oldies you mentioned... I will prefer oshimen,Bonaventure, kalu, sadiq umar, nacho,Moses Simon, musa, dressier, aina, ebuehi, iwobi, etc to the best these oldies can offer.... only enyeama is considerable but for the sake of possible rift who gonna be the team's captain....he can stay back... for Martins....forget it If any striker gonna be called from China....it will be ighalo |

Mickael2: but Osaze hasn't scored 2 goals, he has scored 13!!! Wait, thirteen and not in one game but continously. And before you start saying it's the Indonesian league so how come nobody else is scoring at that rate there if it is so easy? If the league is whack then how come Essien's team(Ashley Cole is in the same team too) is losing since he can just pick up the ball, beat 10 players plus GK, sit on the ball then use his head and roll it in because the league is easy come on bro...please let's leave osaze alone...he has retired since... we need give young players chance to play good football and build the requisite confidence that is required.... presently Dennis Bonaventure is playing good football and likewise others...these young lads needs these cap than osaze....and others who already passed their prime |

safarigirl: some people want to turn this thread to Nite of a Thousand Laughs
I sha hope it is not Osaze that is supposedly banging in goals in Indonesia of all places, even if we must recall old players, no be Osaze we go recall.
I believe there was once a consensus that it is much better to use young players in attack than old ones. If we need experience, let us kuku call Taiye Taiwo to assist in the defense you've not seen anything yet... had it been nigeria won these just concluded star 6 tournament in UK... some would have clamoured for the inclusion of these ex internationals in th all important Cameroon tie.... some calling for the inclusion of Yak, okocha, amokachi etc would have littered everywhere |

Mickael2: I think not really, I have been following Nantes because of Awaziem, they have played 2 games that I followed, except maybe there is a third match they played then Idk. However Omeruo has been playing games too, trust me he is going to move out, there are many clubs looking for him just that he wants to stay match fit for Cameroon next two? weeks and I don't see anything wrong with that ok....I just want the best to always be picked |

Mickael2: the problem is that Awaziem himself isn't playing for Nantes either. Their 2(3?) friendly games to date he hasn't played so what's the point?
Then also, the match was played last season when Omeruo was starting matches back to back, so what is happening now isn't affecting what we said then I think he came in as a sub in one of their friendlies lately |

Lordabas: Chai Omeruo's mates are in china for preseason tour while hes playing with small children in the cfcdev side. How bad is he that no club wants to sign or take him on loan and somebody will say here....that he should start ahead of awaziem...who is busy playing good football wit nantes..of France ligue 1..... omeruo problem is greed likewise his agent...the debacle almost forbid Chelsea from signing him then...after his agent delayed his proposed loan move to the Dutch league then..... same young man rather than opt for a permanent tranfer now to a moderate club that will guarantee him regular playtime and avail him the opportunity to develop and establish himself... he fancy...constant loan spells just to remain a Chelsea player |

Mickael2: the problem is Akpeyi hasn't had just one off day, he has been poor in almost all his games for the SE bar one. Against Algeria we all supported him, but we have better players so why are we keeping up with him?
Peter Rufai was towards the end of his career and Peter wasn't always a great GK anyways, but this guy is what? 28? Should be at his peak really and he is committing school boy errors. There are better GKs I think I am with you on this one.... we're on same page.... |

soetanoreoluwa: Lol... It is Well... But you know just ridicule Akpeyi by saying he didn't deserve to be a pro player... You don't need it bro... He is some else bread winner... And at least he deserve a little respect...
I could imagine when Peter rufai was making blunder at the tail of his career and someone should just come up with your statement on him... How will he feel?
That's Akpeyi career... He work his ass out to be a pro player if he doesnot keep for Nigeria again nothing will happen, life goes on...
I always imagine the way we do come hard on player... We should remember they are human being like us... Even in our own professional.. Are we at our top game most times?
I read article on Aweziem ChAi.. The guy really felt bad about the bad comments people made about him... We should cut our players some slack and support them and if we can't we should leave them...
Joe Hart, Valdez, cech, even enyeama all had a bad day... Imagine with their bad day.. The coach should drop them and bring in another person...
Let support them and made them believe they can do it... That's how things work...
Bashing them won't work.. What's the probability that the new comer will perform well... ?
Just saying and my opinion... well said....there is so much sense in your comment... but wait....encouraging someone does not mean that they should be allowed to mount the goal post...in all important qualifying match against Cameroon.... you get? the best in camp should man the post...all players should be given equal opportunities to impress and let the best be chosen..... not because you wanna encourage a player it won't be dropped for repeated errors |
