With regards to Eto who is supposedly younger than Yak both have been able to be consistent goal scorers in top leagues for a decade until 3,4,5 years ago.

Martins I felt peaked at Inter and Newcastle but he then goes to Sounder and scores 40+ yes it might be the MLS and not a top league.

It's like saying when did Drogba and Or Ian Wright Peak. I am using your age parameters and it doesn't add up. It's much much more reflective of Caucasian players.

You cannot get away from better players get courted by better clubs. You improve also playing with better players.

In this regard our once English colonisers have really not helped us. English football should be a home to Nigerian players but it is TOTALLY NOT.

The entire French league system is the bedrock that is underpinning Franco phone Africa football development. England is the exact opposite of that with African black players side stepped for Caucasian players who are not as good.

I have no statistics to substantiat my position but from mere observations. I can you assure that Senegal could easily create a first 11, with regular first team quality players from the French league 1, not bench warmers or academy players.

I knew and watched Tega when he was playing U16, I admit to being suprised by his progression. I really didn't think he would this good. The championship is physical I just didn't think after playing pretty football in Chelsea he would be able to cope.

That word opportunity is everything without opportunity we cannot discover a player. Rashford was rated about 4/5 in the academy and all those ahead of him like Fletcher opted to go on loan. When there was a spate of injuries Fletcher was the only option. He played and the rest is history full England international at 18.

The question is who can Rohr discover

I believe some of these young Nigeria English guys will become serious with super eagles after the under 20 world cup.... because after then they will be nothing to do...3 lions call up will not be forthcoming......the wise ones might then start eyeing the super eagles....

We may soon need to start selecting players for the 2019 AAG and 2020 Olympics qualifiers a good number of these young players are eligible.

AAG qualifiers starts next yr. All players who are presently 20yrs and below will make up the Dream team VII. At least this should be an opportunity for a player like Steven Odey

We jst need a good coach with unbiased selection process. I tip that team to do well.

Home based players should not automatically be given a quota whether friendly or not. They are playing at a low level. Until, the player can show they can cut it. That is why CHAN is a good place to test them against other African teams. There are several Nigerians playing at higher levels that are not getting opportunities. Aluko, Fanendo Adi, Esiti, Agu, etc..

Chisom went to Sweden and all they offered him was a loan deal till they were fully convinced. That is the best player in the league. I use him as a reference to the overall quality of the league. Biko, i have nothing against the player. I wish him all the best. I do not drag arguments here. I still believe that being in Sweden at 25 is old but there is no need to drag arguments here. Obaje also failed a trial at Spartak Moscow.. Many of the players that excel straight out of Nigeria are youth players not those who have spent above 5 years in the league.
