TheGoodJoe: Those that are playing elsewhere with regular playing time are not as fit as Iheanacho. The young man has his reasons. I doubt Iheanacho is stupid not to know what is best for him. When he feels it is time to move, he will but for now, there is a big sign that he is gaining at City.
Misses are part of the game. Benzema misses loads too. OK...I know fr sure u definitely come for me. I wish him well....so painful see him.on city's bench |

I would line such a collection thus:
Balogun.. Troost. .Omeruo.. Echiejile
................Ndidi ....................... .Onazi
Musa......... Iwobi........ Simon
................Iheanacho to be true...I don't see onazi as a good passer of the ball...hence the link between the midfield and attack may be severely affected.. he should take up ndidi's position and let ndidi play the cmf |

Some players had visa hitches that could not have been predicted. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/peckhamtownfootballclub/teams/5640/player/tope-okeowo-1402049 this is serious....why didn't rohr and his crew put this into consideration when drafting up names... abit some of the team officials should have know this visa issues...and as such draft in some young European based Nigeria goal keepers...like osigwe, alampasu to be honest this emergency call up look much like embarrassment... this guy with all due respect won't even make our under 20 squad... |

komekn: No idea.
With regards to Eto who is supposedly younger than Yak both have been able to be consistent goal scorers in top leagues for a decade until 3,4,5 years ago.
Martins I felt peaked at Inter and Newcastle but he then goes to Sounder and scores 40+ yes it might be the MLS and not a top league.
It's like saying when did Drogba and Or Ian Wright Peak. I am using your age parameters and it doesn't add up. It's much much more reflective of Caucasian players.
Something else apart from Drogba we will not be able to really have a good idea about thier real ages.
I digress but Defoe went to MLS came back then plays for Sunderland and now he is called to England at 34. Why not Obagoal sir please Nigeria is not England... we should be jostling for young lads like Tammy and co... not players who can't stay with the team...for possible 5 years.... we rather move on or stag behind.... our aim now is building a new team that will shake world soccer |

komekn: You cannot get away from better players get courted by better clubs. You improve also playing with better players.
In this regard our once English colonisers have really not helped us. English football should be a home to Nigerian players but it is TOTALLY NOT.
The entire French league system is the bedrock that is underpinning Franco phone Africa football development. England is the exact opposite of that with African black players side stepped for Caucasian players who are not as good.
I have no statistics to substantiat my position but from mere observations. I can you assure that Senegal could easily create a first 11, with regular first team quality players from the French league 1, not bench warmers or academy players.
Nigeria would struggle to put together 6 players from the EPL and France keep stealing the best of their talents...u call that help sir? to me that is not help..... harnessing and taking up the best players...from these helpless francophone countries.. who have continue to be puppets to France...take a look at the French national team and imagine if those players...had played fr their Africa nation... England has not done same with us yet..in same proportion we are already crying wolf..I bet u won't be able to stand it...should England act like France |

komekn: I knew and watched Tega when he was playing U16, I admit to being suprised by his progression. I really didn't think he would this good. The championship is physical I just didn't think after playing pretty football in Chelsea he would be able to cope.
That word opportunity is everything without opportunity we cannot discover a player. Rashford was rated about 4/5 in the academy and all those ahead of him like Fletcher opted to go on loan. When there was a spate of injuries Fletcher was the only option. He played and the rest is history full England international at 18.
The question is who can Rohr discover I believe some of these young Nigeria English guys will become serious with super eagles after the under 20 world cup.... because after then they will be nothing to do...3 lions call up will not be forthcoming......the wise ones might then start eyeing the super eagles.... as for rohr he should call up those he deemed best for eagles and willing to wear SE Jersey |

Icon4s: A good goal from the guy once nick-named 'the Nigerian Ronaldo'.
We may soon need to start selecting players for the 2019 AAG and 2020 Olympics qualifiers a good number of these young players are eligible.
AAG qualifiers starts next yr. All players who are presently 20yrs and below will make up the Dream team VII. At least this should be an opportunity for a player like Steven Odey
We jst need a good coach with unbiased selection process. I tip that team to do well.
Azubuike Okechukwu, Sadiq Umar, Nura Abdulahi, All Amuneke's U17 2015 boys, Ifeanyi Mathew, Musa Yahaya, Chidera Ezeh, Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidozie Awaziem, Osarenren Obazee, among others.
We can also send invitations to the English duo of Lookman And Abraham. Sir please Tammy Abraham deserve better fr a player who have scored over 19 goals in the championship is no fluke not even 20 yet...I remember ighalo did same few seasons ago and same period he was called to the super eagles I will love see Tammy in the super eagles if possible this year how many of our current strikers this season has posed such stints in the league they play? |

These NPFL guys we are advocating for, aren't they the ones Amuneke's U20 boys used to wipe the floor in that Super Six tournament last year? Lol...even manu boys prior the under 20 world cup in new Zealand and Senegal nations cup used them shine, I even believe some academics in Nigeria can beat some npfl teams.... seriously I read someone comparing SE with the Bafan Bafana football team citing the invitation of home based players forgetting that those players are paying their dues for the past seasons in caf competitions they have been dominating and doing well while Nigeria clubs are no where to be found... rohr must have watched a couple of npfl matches than us here....but still he knows what he want..I think should he see a player that can offer something needful to the team...he won't deprive him |

tbaba1234: I do not get why you are bringing us English B sides?? The point is that Barca B is playing in the third tier and Bassey is still playing at a low level. Training once in a while with the first team does not change that.
Home based players should not automatically be given a quota whether friendly or not. They are playing at a low level. Until, the player can show they can cut it. That is why CHAN is a good place to test them against other African teams. There are several Nigerians playing at higher levels that are not getting opportunities. Aluko, Fanendo Adi, Esiti, Agu, etc..
Chisom went to Sweden and all they offered him was a loan deal till they were fully convinced. That is the best player in the league. I use him as a reference to the overall quality of the league. Biko, i have nothing against the player. I wish him all the best. I do not drag arguments here. I still believe that being in Sweden at 25 is old but there is no need to drag arguments here. Obaje also failed a trial at Spartak Moscow.. Many of the players that excel straight out of Nigeria are youth players not those who have spent above 5 years in the league.
No sentiments. Let them show themselves at a higher stage (continental level or CHAN)... I will come here and advocate for their invitation too. is it not same players who messed up their opportunities in the ongoing caf champions league.... if they were really good enough as my brother Goldfish is saying they should have at least go a little further in those competitions even if not winning it a Sudanese club could outsmart them and here we crying fr them to make super eagles squad super eagles team is no fluke if u must play there u have got to work fr it gone where the days when the keshi and oliseh boys could parade the SE jersey making football match a eyesore to watch.... abeg let leave rohr do his work |

ChrisKels: How many of these English guys wanna don the green and white Jersey of the Eagles? This should be the question.
Ejaria no doubt, won't turn us down because when he was passing through a rough patch, Nigeria gave a helping hand by giving him an invitation to join the 2013 u17 set... We all know the story.
Ibeh, ojo, Akpom, Aina, Ebuehi have been met and they asked to be giving more time which simply mean they ain't ready. To me, since we've made our proposal, it is now incumbent on them to reach out to us, when they are ready since we've shown them that we want them, that's the sense of belonging u talked about. Ebuehi called back that he was ready after after asking to me given more time initially but how many of these innit boys have called back?
Solanke, akpoguma, iyoha stated clearly that Nigeria ain't an option. They wanna represent their country of birth.
Odubajo shunned our invitation to the u23 though he cited the timing as his reason and promise to honor our invitation if not for his injuries.
Tammy Abraham has met with Pinnick, I don't think he said no with what Pinnick said, but like others, he asked to be given more time.
Adarabioyo said no.
Onyedinma was neither here nor there with his response.
Ademola was a member of team Nigeria UK handled by Doherty. Now he is enjoying a kinda purple patch he is more concerned with cementing his place in the first team than getting distracted with nationality wahala. I doubt he would turn us down anyways. But is this d right time to call him up?
Dominic iorfa senior said his son would play for Eagles but not until he is 23 and above. He said he ain't mature for international football yet, but trust me, should d 3 lions call him up today, automatically, he would be mature. Iorfa we know ur motive.
Well am behind Rohr with his German call up. Noah is a gem and I hope he gets us Jordan torunarigha of Hertha BSc also. Had those innit boys not ask for more time, I believe some of them would have gotten their invites alongside Noah and Ebuehi.
People I think we should be clamoring for are guys like Manuel Akanji of Basel who never hides the Nigerian part of him, inform Aluko and others who see themselves as Nigerians.
Shout from now till morrow, a guy like Solanke can hardly see naija as an option.
Why do some us find it difficult to appreciate what we have? I nearly kicked out on d guy before me in a queue d moment I read that Success is a waste. Chai my people make una take am easy with anything foreign.
Innit boys are holding out for the opportunity to serve the Queen hence they are asking for more time. If d 3 lions had come knocking, dey would celebrate it instead of asking for more time. I see their excuses as a ploy to weigh their chances with England before considering us. This is the truth and I don't know why some of u are shying away from it.
Give me a German talent with huge future but still plies his trade in the 2 Bundesliga who is happy to get a call from Rohr, and will take him any day, any time over an epl kid using us to play ludo I cannot deny the fact that u wrote true..... I think rohr should be encouraged and not criticized |
