Kog45: Keshi CHAN team still remained d best coz i remember d team won bronze in that tournament.
On Olishe omitting Igbinova from Chan team, then what can u say of Rohr omission of Aluko and Oyekuru from London friendlies..
My point is simple, home based players deserve a look in coz we have a league where players are playing week in week out.
Rohr just need to look inward and see if it's possible to see a rear gem among d home based who can slug it out or even displaced d foreign based. Sir...I get your point, but what do u say of players who are looking for any slight opportunity to whisk to obscure leagues in Europe and north Africa leagues...few are determined like etebor who refused the north Africa deals |

Kog45: Pls this home based deserve some respect and not total condemnation. The truth must be told and whether w like it or not Rohr goof for not looking inward for players who can slug it out with their foreign counterparts.
We haven't pass d era of not considering some home based players coz we have a league which i believe no matter what one or two player should find their way into d team on merit but not considering this players at all is out of it.
Rohr is getting it right should not stop us from evaluate his team selection.Nobody is forcing any home based player on him but he need to look inward for quality players. the truth is even the home based players will not picked on merit... still remember the LMC cried out during our first CHAN outing... lamenting that the players picked by keshi were not the league's best... how could u explain oliseh omission of igbinoba of nasarawa united during the last CHAN despite his attacking prowess from the midfield position abeg they should let the coach do his Job |

Icon4s: I am whole heartedly with Rohr's team selection.
The best and most promising talents and professional players are outside this country.
Celestine Babayaro that was making comment the other day, how many home-based players played along with him during his hey days in the late 90s?
We have gone past that time where Keshi would be reserving 5-7 slots for home-based players!
Players should be invited based on merit. If our best 25 players are based in Europe so be it.
The home based eagles had a chance to impress at CHAN last year but they showed they lacked substance. Another CHAN qualifiers will commence soon. Let Rohr use that to assess the players.
No room for mediocrity. We need the best devoid of allotments and allocations. don't mind Babayaro... some of these ex internationals together are the country's football problem... I think those words he uttered out of selfishness... probably they wanna market players...that's why they often keep canvassing for an indigenous coach... |

otezu5: Assist Master Sarenren-Bazee Will Help Iheanacho & Co Score More Goals For Nigeria
https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-3.jpg
The Super Eagles of Nigeria latest invitee Joel Noah Sarenren Bazee has the talent to make the attack line of the Nigerian team better than it is right now.
Coach of the senior national team of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has not been too impressed with the firing line of his team , a situation that has seen him try various combinations in attack in the three games he has handled Nigeria.
Rohr convinced Sarenren Bazee to commit his future to Nigeria ahead of Germany because he believe that the 20 year old will help address some of the pressing issues of the Super Eagles in attack.
Bazee’s main attributes is speed but he is also blessed with the ability to thread passes to the point man of his team, as illustrated in his performance so far for Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga 2.
He has six assists from just 12 games this season, making him third in the list of players with highest number of assist in the league this season. The likes of Manchester City Kelechi Iheanacho and other Super Eagles forwards will no doubt benefit from his tailor-like passes in their quest to score more goals for Nigeria.

Icon4s: Rohr is not just building a team for today he wants to also raise players that will ensure we remain on top for a long time. That's why he invited young players like Osimhen, Obazee, and Ebuehi. These are just friendlies you know. okay sir..also may be because he is from Germany and he understands d mechanisms of German football and also much more easier to speak to this lads and their handlers switching allegiance, because u will agree wit me, that we have got good young players in England we shouldn't let go just so cheaply...we can wrestle some frm England to play fr us... I believe we can get one of solanke and Tammy likewise Ovie ejaria, onomah, onyedima, Aina etc we can get some of this guys and keep them for the future |

Ogunjobi: Pinnick Shouldn’t Have Openly Supported Ahmad Against Hayatou
By Johnny Edward:
Osun United Chairman and former Nigeria Football Federation Secretary General, Taiwo Ogunjobi, believes the President of the Nigerian Football Federation Amaju Pinnick should not have openly declared his support for Madagascar's AhmadAhmad ahead of Thursday's Confederation of African Football elections, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Issa Hayatou, 70, is contesting for an eighth successive term as President of CAF, with Ahmad, 57, his only opponent.
"You don't come out openly to declare support for a candidate in an election at the level of CAF," Ogunjobi told Comple tesportsnigeria.com.
"Maybe youthful exhuberance, I don't know but I think it's a mistake to do that. It's going to be difficult for Ahmad Ahmad even if there's a chance for him. Hayatou has the experience and has been there for years.
"Pinnick would still have voted for a candidate of his choice if he didn't come out to publicly to declare support for Ahmad."
Ogunjobi added that Pinnick faces a tough candidate in Benin Republic’s Anjorin Moucharafou for the sole slot on the powerful CAF Executive Committee seat from West B zone.
Ogunjobi added that his club Osun United will be title contenders in the 2016/17 Nigeria National Football League season, which will kicks off this weekend.
Osun United are away to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa in their opening league game.
"We are ready for the NNL league opener,"Ogunjobi said. "We have been in camp for over three months and I believe the coach (Duke Udi) has done his homework ahead of the game against Bayelsa United. I'm confident that we will gain promotion at the end of the season."
Ogunjobi also had his reservations on the Super Eagles squad list for the forthcoming friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso later this month in London.
He said: "The coach (Gernot Rohr) has been given a job and so far he was won games but if I feel some players in the squad shouldn't be there. The friendlies are good for the team and it will put them in good shape for the coming games in June and August."
www.completesportsnigeria.com/ogunjobi-pinnick-shouldnt-openly-supported-ahmad-hayatou/ pinnick acted immaturely boldly expressing his intention still can't understand why the FG should be canvassing for someone who has made the caf presidency his birth right since time immemorial... all because of ties with his country |

What do you have to say about his recent form? I think rohr is biased towards the German league... because if the Hannover player currently in bundlisga 2 can get call up why shouldn't a championship player be called I really don't get it.. players like Tammy, aluko should be rated higher than this serezen guy |

terzurum5: Govt directs NFF to back Hayatou for CAF post
Abuja: Nigeria’s government has ordered the head of the country’s football association to back current CAF president Issa Hayatou of Cameroon in his re-election bid, a senior official said on Monday.
The decree from on high came despite Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick having publicly come out in support of Hayatou’s main challenger, Ahmad Ahmad.
Pinnick’s backing for Madagascar’s Ahmad has put him at loggerheads with the NFF, the country’s sports minister Solomon Dalung, and Nigerian members of CAF’s executive committee.
A senior figure in Nigeria’s presidency confirmed that a meeting chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo ordered Pinnick to vote for Hayatou because of Nigerian ties with Cameroon.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source confirmed that Dalung contacted the presidency about Thursday’s vote in Addis Ababa and asked what the country’s position should be.
“There is an existing joint relationship between Nigeria and Cameroon and most recently both countries collaborated in the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency,” he added.
