Based on Current form... I would take Aluko.... but an in-form Iwobi will be my first choice even against the die-hard camerounians.....

We all complain of his struggles with physical teams which is true nonetheless but again he did pretty good against Zambia. Also he faces teams like Stoke City in the EPL.... for me ooo... stoke is the Cameroon of the EPL.....

But it is a tough call... it is not as straightforward as you are making it... choosing between Aluko and Iwobi would not just be based on who copes better with physical teams... it is about the synergy of the team....

Let Rohr make the call... all we can do here is postulate.... wink
me will take both...I won't leave one.

I agree with you. But can you suggest one number 9 for us?
the 9 I have in mind is Tammy...but I am not sure if we gonna get him easily...
so let's make use of kayode for the Cameroon tie. the guy has stamina and physique...
he can live up some of our expectations
still believe iwobi can play the physical taste of Africa football should he be deploy to the middle not the flanks...he should play as 10 definitely as sub
the guy good at giving some dangerous passea

In the company of Auba and co.... chaaaiiiiii.... what else are we waiting for then? Abeg Rohr should call this lad up for that France camping exercise biko.... but before then, he should make further contacts to consolidate on the ones already made... we cannot lose this boy ooo... Finally... a stiff competition for Echiejile... wink
seriously...you're spot on. please let rohr add that Manuel Akanji guy...
both guys are needed asap

No! They are indeed exceptional.

Didn't you see Ali goal and assist yesterday? It was awesome.

Dele Alli is a better player than Iheanacho. It's the plain truth.

Besides, Eto and Drogba are not British or European but you na. grin

Iheanacho should leave City. The coach body odour sorry body language suggest he doesn't need Iheanacho and he is wanted out.
I agree wit u that dele alli is a good player but not better than nacho...
what stands dele alli out is the opportunity he got..playtime. I believe nacho could have done same if he had same opportunity

Best news of the day for me...... Rohr means One hell of a business mehn!!!!!..... coz I was kinda worried about how we are gonna keep shape and carry on in the momentum we have built overtime.... ahead of the next competitive games coming up in June and in August/September. And it seems he has eyes to invite some fresh talents for close-up view also..... maybe this is Onyekuru's chance alongside the other greenhorns to make an impression for the future?

Rohr Rules Out Summer Holidays For Iheanacho, Iwobi, Ndidi Until After South Africa Game

https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/71056Ebuehi.png

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that he plans to invite fresh young players to a training camp in France, ahead of the national team’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in June.

The training camp will start next month, meaning the Super Eagles stars will not be allowed to proceed on holidays at the end of season in most European countries.

“We have a programme to work together as a team. We have arranged for camping in France and we have been invited for some friendly games, although it is not FIFA window.

“We have some young players who we need to look at and also some of them that have finished their season in Europe,” Rohr told New Telegraph.

The Super Eagles, after winning the 2013 AFCON, failed to qualify for the 2015 and 2017 editions but Rohr is optimistic of his wards will make the cut in 2019.

“They need to work hard, we have two and half weeks to prepare for South Africa after which we will play another friendly game to accommodate some other players that will be ending their season in June, especially the players playing in China.”

Rohr is back in Nigeria and was at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday to watch a league game between AS Racine and Warri Wolves.

spare me that please.. Pep is performing below average considering the fact how much he was giving for transfer markets..he has gotten all he asked for financially.. Tell me one reason he should go trophy less considering the amount of resources at his disposal..not only is he going trophy less, he is also on the verge of loosing out on the champions league spot..
And you call that development.. undecided
And what will you call jurgen klopps handwork on Liverpool? Or leicesters resurgence?
With low budget, they still get their team up front..that's what I call development..

The thing is GUARDIOLA is still driven by the euphoria he is still in the laliga or bundesliga where he has little or no competition.. The sooner he learns he is in EPL where no one cares whose ox is gored..the better for him cool
the painful thing is...Manchester united is not serious at all...if they were...by now pep and his crew would have been fighting to clinch the Europa ticket

Unlike France and its Clairefontaine, England's FA does not have a dedicated elite football academy from which the claim can be made that they invested in them, (African players) with national quasi public funds etc.

Football clubs invest in thousands of players each year through the academy system which every club has with the intention of selling players for profit and or playing them in their own teams. At the end of the day they are all private businesses using private and individual funds not government funds. So we owe them NOTHING , think about the millions (not naira) they make on our boys so NOBODY should feel sorry for them.

Consider Ndidi lifted for peanuts from Nigeria within 2 years later sold for £15 million, so who is fooling who.
thanks Sir
good to know we share same thought on this issue...
the truth is...should they opt to start capping these lads unnecessarily just to keep them out of Nigeria reach.. they will end up frustrating some of these guys as many will only manage 1 or 2 caps all through their professional career like fashanu...with time these evil deeds will be visible to all and be a lesson for the upcoming ones to learn from...

I bet you one thing that makes the lads love play in Nigeria... is the sense of belonging they get here...the love and the no discrimination showed to them...iwobi himself said this

England Move To Stem The Loss Of Youth Internationals After Recent Capture By Nigeria

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/image-60.jpg

The Football Association of England has initiated moves to stop the rise in the loss of youth international, who are eligible for other nations.

Owngoalnigeria.com England based writer Michael James had a chat with a member of the FA, who voiced out the FA unhappiness over the recent loss of around five talented players groomed in their youth set up to other nations.

The issue of losing Wilfred Zaha of Crystal Palace was still dominating discussions in the FA office, when news arrived that around four players educated by the youth set up in England are close to pledging allegiance to Nigeria.

The trio of Ola Aina, Chuba Akpom and Ebere Eze trained with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in London last week, and even took part in a training match among the players organised following the cancellation of the proposed friendly game against Burkina Faso.

”We have initiated moves to curb the menace of losing talented teens to other nations. No doubt we can’t stop them from playing for nations they are qualified to represent but we can control the numbers, because it’s on the rise”, he told Owngoalnigeria.com

”I’m sorry I can’t reveal the steps we have taken, and other plans we have but for now we are deeply concern about the trend, and we know a lot of our nationals are worried as well. It’s a trend we will nip in the bud”.

* Michael James

Sir Goldfish... you recall our little discussion on the "England someday coming up with measures to halt this dual nationality and country switch palava".

Sir Komekn.... you recall this issue too and in fact you have a strong emotional voice on the issue.

Now I ask... what could England (The FA) be possibly up to as regards halting or controlling this situation? sad

Anyway.... Time will tell....
let's watch how the 3 lions gonna absolve all the Africa blood in the English academy.... they're funny..if they're claiming to have spent much in the development of this kids how about the resources and funds they milked from us during the colonial era and even from the mass money laundering of our leaders....
abeg may they go relax...I just want us to snap Tammy Abraham prior the world cup they can keep the rest and let's see how they get to play them...

It should be..... Back in the days before I was even born, Nigerian players all went to Belgium predominantly and grew into European football from there....

That period saw our first golden generation emerge.

Now again... we are seeing several of our youngsters making waves firstly in Belgium from where the big amd modestky big clubs are coming for them....

Look at Ndidi's move from Genk.... look at Simon moses being chased by a few English clubs... look at Henry Onyekuru also...

Belgium can indeed become our mecca in Europe.

And I am not saying the path to the top is the same for all our young players but this is the most advisable and best path for most of our young boys in terms of development and maturity so that our young starlets can move to better teams from there.

I know there are a few who may just make the big move but it is rare. KANU is an example... moved to Ajax, Intermilan and then to Arsenal.... all are big teams.
you're very right..even the Belgian clubs are licking their lips because they're making much from the transfer of these players...remember Genk president desiring to have one of ndidi every season...

I think NFF should think of partnering the Belgian league...it will help a lot

What did Amunike do wrong because I do not get it? The boys lost out after they got fed up with the way the officials treated them. If you followed behind the scenes of the U17, the murmuring was already on. Amunike managed the team under bad conditions and lost under poor playing conditions. Why are people hell bent on the choice of players when the NFF made it difficult for the team to qualify. Judge them on fair conditions and not bias one.
let's leave this amuneke and his crew..
I guess they've learnt their lessons because they err big time...
