zoboizee: To me etebo is not a dmf. That he played there and performed ok is due to versatility & strength. The guy is an amf/wf. Aluko to me is a better choice than iwobi. Iwobi has lost his spark. If i were the coach, i will only give him say 10mins-15mins, same with simon. And with Musa, i dnt need ighalo. Also, those two keepers, Akpeyi &Ezenwa, are too error prone & have passed their prime. Better options should be sourced home & abroad. Ezenwa was with siasia at the beijing olympics. We have better players sentiments should be stopped. I read what u wrote about iwobi...please don't go there...even England are still musing and weeping on loosing him to Nigeria.. a selfless and skillful player of such age are hard to find.. please that guy is good....his touches are superB still remember his play against Egypt in Kaduna... just that I see him as one that can't really play from the flanks in Africa football... he should be deployed to middle.. then I believe we get more frm him |

Mickael2: How is Kelechi even in the picture if we want to give it to the best performing player? you didn't mention Ndidi, Ekong, Etebo, Leon, even Omeruo, all these players have performed better than him in the last two-three games, ok maybe two games for Omeruo alone.
Anyways, my point is that Onazi was made captain before Musa, talking about seniority Musa pass am, so what's your point? You know that Rohr was wrong by choosing Onazi so why are you including Echejile now? Was Echejile the captain of the game. Let's not dwell on this sha, Musa like every random aboki is a humble dude, that's what I love about him. He even tied someone's lace for him I don't know how u read games ooo how many matches has ndidi , etebo played for the eagles...compare kelechi games... though I don't like the idea of giving captaincy to a striker... but that dude goal scoring record for eagles...is amazing. |

SharpJoe: I think we should be Objective in this matter. So should Collin Udoh. Rohr is not into the Nigerian syndrome of Monkey working and Baboon eating. It is as simple as that. Rohr has done his assessment and he does not see Musa a key member of the team. He wants his captain on the field. Not on the bench. Musa will not play regularly for his team and so Rohr will not leave him with the captain band.
I wonder what is wrong in that. you're right. . I just pray musa received this with the spirit and heart of sportsmanship. |

ChrisKels: Is Aluko really that good? I have seen a couple of matches where he couldn't stand the pressure and was a kinda quagmire when he was expected to lift his team as was Alex in our last match. But that ain't denying the fact that he's cerebral and can conjure some improvised pieces of skills to riggle outta tight corners Sha. that guy is good...abeg still remember his play against arsenal in the Fa cup final...when he was in hull city and also saving us from embarrassment against RSA in uyo... he is a very brilliant player....that every day I wish I could lay hands on the super eagles players and fight them...what was needed was to shot frm outside the box not to get into the RSA penalty box...aluko introduction solved this problem as he knew what was expected and he did the needful that guy is good though we won't miss his absence much because of the presence of etebo... they both have similar brilliance and score brilliant goals when needed |

Mickael2: Is Neymar the oldest person in the Selecao? But he is their captain, you don't even understand the bone of contention and you are here misyarning.
Rohr said he removed Musa because he is a bench warmer, Mikel used to be a bench warmer but he wasn't removed, so that's hypocritical of him. Had it been that he said that he removed him because he isn't the oldest player there then we will all understand, not that lame excuse. Ok so is Onazi older than Musa and Echejile? So why isn't Musa Echejile's assistant? I don't believe rohr will ever say that... so many lies have laid on that man... with time we will get to know what happened of a truth ..musa starting place is not even guaranteed in the team anymore...from rohr two games I have been opportuned to watch he always come in from the bench...he has been of impact though |

safarigirl: Please, when did Musa join the Super Eagles and when did Echiejile join?
*modified*
On what grounds did anyone say Musa deserves the captain arm band? Echiejile is older than him in Tue team, so whybarw you guys not fighting for Echiejile?
How can Elderson be in that team and Musa is collecting arm band and you people are yarning about respect. Respect to who abeg?
Elderson made his debut in 2009 and Musa made his in 2010, if Captaincy is based on years in the team, then by all means, Echiejile ought to get that band over Musa
Or is it by caps? Then Musa can get the band, he has 7 more caps than Elderson....
Anyway, like i said before, Musa does not have captain qualities IMO....i just would have prefered Echiejile, Onazi was sha not it you see that sunday oliseh caused every thing... him appointing musa as his captain during the few months he coached eagles caused this problem and siasia after restoring the captainship to Mikel...made musa his assistant...that's where the problem started, musa already see himself as super eagles skipper in the absence of mikel... |

NFF should look for one league one or two club play abeg.
Atleast with that Rohr can start and assess Ebuehi and Obazee And also do some shuffling upfront or try a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 formation. I would also want to a 4-4-2 with Success and Iheanacho as the hitmen.
No Burkina friendly abeg. With dey did against Senegal they are good enough to beat Cameroun in Uyo, which is all we need to eliminate Cameroun. I agree with u..... playing a club side will help in integrating the new players into the team properly |

I didn't say Onazi was bad entirely, I said as a CMF he was bad, had it been that he was deployed to play as a DMF then he had a good 20-25 mins but then he wasn't, he was supposed to play as a CMF which he frankly didn't do justice to.
Now, the point is that Onazi should only play as a DMF for us, but then that means he will be vying for the same spot with Ndidi, no prizes for guessing who should be picked smiles...you're one of the culprits because if u were the only one..I would have make mention of u...I have been following this thread since it's creation and before u joined.... komekn: In what way was my judgement on Success wrong
Talking factually using statistics he has played a total of 62 professional league games and scored 7 goals as a striker. Within those games 13 are for Watford with one goal.
Statistics don't always tell the full story I admit to that. I have watched him at Watford he has shown small flashes but nothing commensurate with his £12.5 million price tag. My assessment was prior to the Senegalese game.
So using the information at hand what would you call him a resounding success
When Joke Jervis playing for League 2 Plymouth Argyle turned Liverpool 's Moreno and Lallana inside out several times even hitting the bar in the last minute did not propel him to to winger over night. He has to be consistent and prove he can do that time and time again.
In the same vein Success had a great game I am told, what constitutes a great game by what yardstick How many assists did he make , goal scoring opportunities created and of course goals. Is that unfair to ask of a £12.5 million striker playing in the premiership.
And the tag about I don't hail Nigerian players I had already highlighted Etebo when he was playing at Warri Wolves. I will not enthron mediocrity but I will hail exceptional talent. sir I understand you're not a fan of Isaac success but that shouldn't make u to start ridiculing him by your post...if you really know Isaac success from the roots...you won't question his abilities... I have had encounter with those who knew him right from his playing days at BJ foundation Benin...same BJ that posed as a joker in the last federation cup I think... I guess u never watched the under 17 nations cup where he gave a good account of himself and also at Granada... what has only undermine his progress at EPL is injury...I foresee him going places bearing no injury at all. for your claim sir...of him not justifying the price Watford placed on him....please give it time .he is just settling.. after all EPL clubs have wasted similar amount on English players who not worth more than £1m. after all Jordan hybe is one of them. |

PaperLace: Female bosses are this and that, it's all in your heads dear. Women have already been preconditioned to believe women hate themselves, that's the problem some of you have.
My boss is a woman, older than my husband and single! Normally, people would say with all those characteristics, she would be 'angry'_ but she isn't. She is the best thing to happen to me. The male superior couldn't even teach me one thing, all he knows how to do is stare at my ass.
The only thing I can agree with is, female bosses pay lots of attention to detail. It's one of their God given qualities, so...they tend to push people over the edge to get things done. Of course, since she is female_ it would be misinterpreted to mean, women are this and that.
I have a dream, to one day be at the very top. Any man that can't deal with it, should fuk off! Life is a whole lot more, than pleasing people with pricks... because I have noticed it's males that complain most. Most men can't naturally deal with having a woman lead them_ useless ego. I don't really agree with your last sentence.... I have gone home crying and losing self confidence... sometimes I believe I am not good enough especially receiving constant embarrassment in presence of customers and picking on me....despite trying to do my best everyday. I don't think it's because of ego...my own experience tells me this |

Harry Potter after being sacked as a secretary for ‘daydreaming’. She then got rejected by not one, not two, but 12 publishers before the chairman of Bloomsbury brought home the Potter manuscript for his daughter Alice to read. Today she is the richest woman in UK. Madonna started her musical career after being sacked from Dunkin’ Donuts for squirting sauce at customers. Her first band, The Breakfast Club, was dropped by their record label, so she decided to go solo. The rest, as they say, is history. Brian Acton got his job application rejected by Facebook at 2009 – then he co-founded WhatsApp with Jan Koum and in 2014 Facebook bought WhatsApp For $19 300 000 000. Yeah that's right! 19.3 billion dollars! That is what they would have gotten for free, if they realized the value of Brian Acton earlier. Almost every record label in the country turned down The Beatles; Walt Disney was fired because he lacked imagination — the list goes on. It seems that sometimes being rejected is the best thing that can happen to you in life, a phenomenon that is being dubbed the Power of No. I don't know who rejected you before, don't worry, they will soon wish they never did. But no matter how many people reject you, Never reject yourself. They may never see the precious jewel in you, but it is there nonetheless. When Diamonds are in their natural state, they actually look like ordinary stone, they don't glitter, and ordinary people may throw them away. But when it gets into the hands of a cutter, it will quickly become the most precious jewel. And the same people that threw it away, can no longer afford it. So don't worry, ordinary people will throw you away today, because they cannot see your value. That is good, because you are not meant for them either. You are meant to sit with Kings and royalty. You are meant for the top. Just find your Cutter, and start the long and arduous process of refining and improving yourself. source: Millionaires Academy ( www.register.millionaire.ng )

Icon4s: Young players metamorphose.
These players have a career path. There is a career progression. Coaches typically tie-into the career path or progression of these players. It helps the player progress better.
Ndidi started off as defender and is today a DM. Iheanacho started as an AM/WF and today a striker, Ahmed Musa started as a striker and today a winger/ss. Observe that coaches have followed along the new career paths of these players.
It helps the players adopt more quickly as d national team most often have barely 2-3days to bond and blend.
Success is now a WF so why should Rohr play him a CF. Iheanacho is the best striker we currently have. you're right though.... I just felt playing kelechi as a lone striker...will put pressure on him to always score goals..as this might undermine his ability to always assist others score goals...read from the analysis as how a simple pass to success would have put Nigeria ahead during the friendly against Senegal as he opt to shot the ball instead which he missed. during the under 17 world cup the version of kelechi I saw...was a lad so gifted with enormous ability to assist for fun..I was so upset when keshi choosed to leave him out of Brazil 2014 world cup...I wanted him play, be our joker, be our link between the midfield and attack and get exposed to the world stage...just like Michael Owen who played in the world cup at 17 and even scored when he took on an Uruguayan defender(ayila) |

The next step is them breaking into their club sides. They can join a growing crop of young players in the NPFL. yeah..I read somewhere of LMC plans to introduce under 15 league, it will definitely be a step in the right direction, groom players for the future, exposed them to international football at a very young age and also help eliminate age cheating as it is quite much easier to identify a 21 years old claiming to be 15... I will even recommend a regional league for various NPL and NNL clubs...from the tournament a federation cup for under 15 should be played where the best amongst to emerge from the regional league will slug it out... by so doing long distance travels and academic pursuit of this young ones will not be affected |

whizola: ISAAC SUCCESS: NIGERIA'S ALL-ACTION POWERHOUSE PERFORMER. TAGGED: SUPER EAGLES, IWOBI, IH... 0 LIKES Nigeria 1-1 Senegal: Isaac Success proves he can definitely live up to his name, but not all the Super Eagles’ starlets did themselves justice. The Super Eagles pose for a photo before kick-off. On a frightfully cold Thursday evening, two African heavyweights came to blows. What was on a paper a bizarrely organised friendly — the match taking place in front of 2,013 people at Barnet’s home stadium, The Hive — turned out to be an entertaining match with plenty of Scouted-approved talent on show… even if I did spill coffee over my nice jumper. . @ScoutedFtbl @_PhilCosta In all the excitement I've spilt coffee down my nice jumper. Nigeria playing a risky game at the back. Ndidi looking great. 9:42 PM - 23 Mar 2017 Jake Entwistle @JakeEntwistle After a Google Maps mishap and a complete misjudgement of the number of fans that would make the same last-minute decision as I did, I was unable to get in the ground ahead of kick-off and soak up the friendly atmosphere. But, after paying a respectable £10 for my place in the South terrace I was finally able to enjoy the game and divert my attention away from the bitterly cold weather. My focus now was solely on Nigeria. The Super Eagles are in the process of ushering in a new generation of talent — something that our very own Phil Costa has written about before — and much of it was on show with six U23 players named in the starting XI. . @ScoutedFtbl U23 players in starting XI: Ndidi (20) Iwobi (20) Iheanacho (20) Simon (21) Omeruo (23) Troost-Ekong (23) 8:46 PM - 23 Mar 2017 2 1 Jake Entwistle @JakeEntwistle Premier League stars Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho were the big attractions, for Nigerian fans at least, and were pitted against a strong Senegalese side whose star performer on the night was Everton’s midfield dynamo, Idrissa Gueye. Arsenal's Alex Iwobi (20) in action for Nigeria against Senegal. The Lions of Teranga troubled Nigeria in the first half with high pressing and solid defending. The aforementioned Premier League duo were playing closely together but failed to create any chances of note, neither for each other or their teammates. A tame first half performance was punctuated by wasteful crossing in attack and unconvincing defending at the back. The start of the second half saw Fenerbahce goal-machine and bicycle-kick extraordinaire, Moussa Sow, give Senegal the lead. Unfortunately, his effort was untypically ordinary, firing the ball home after Nigeria failed to clear Idrissa Gueye’s cross from the right. Moussa Sow puts Senegal ahead in the early stages of the second half. The Super Eagles wrestled back control soon after, however, and managed to reassert themselves in the game. Despite Sadio Mané entering the fray to a rapturous applause from both sets of fans, 20-year-old Wilfred Ndidi was looking the most likely to lead a Super Eagles’ comeback, building on a solid first-half display with another combative and assertive midfield performance. For all Ndidi's work, however, Nigeria were still struggling in attack, and it was Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi in particular that fell short of the high standards he has established for himself. The 20-year-old has come under increasing amounts of criticism of late and would have loved to put on a show; if not to dispel the doubts of others, then to at least expel any that might be developing in his own mind. The minutes and faith both Arsene Wenger and the Nigerian national team have pumped into him is a clear sign of his ability and, even more so, his potential. Perhaps for Alex Iwobi a few games out of the spotlight is the best way to arrest is ‘poor’ run of form. Etebo and Success replace Iwobi and Simon. The Arsenal man didn't have the best of games, misplacing too many passes. 10:27 PM - 23 Mar 2017 Jake Entwistle @JakeEntwistle But whilst one Premier League star may have disappointed the expectant travelling supporters, the man who replaced him did not. Watford’s Isaac Success, sporting the number 8 on the evening, trotted onto the pitch with the nonchalant swagger that has characterised his brief playing career. On the night, however, it was his powerful physique that was on show. Rather than hiding behind his usual baggy shorts and an oversized top, Success was practically bursting out of his Nigerian kit – his tree-trunk thighs screaming to be set free from his tight shorts á la The Incredible Hulk. He even played like Bruce Banner’s angry alter ago: he was, in every sense, a Green Machine. It's official; Isaac Success (21) has the biggest thighs in football. Swatting away Senegalese defenders like flies, the Watford winger at first seemed to join Kelechi Iheanacho upfront before moving out towards the right and wreaking havoc. Faced with Kalidou Koulibaly more often than not, Success was able to breeze past the opposing left full-back and torment the giant Napoli defender with his mesmerising step-overs and sheer physicality. Success' introduction, his pace and direct approach, lifted Nigeria and in the end, it was in fact the Man City starlet who made the decisive breakthrough. Racing onto a hopeful through ball from deep in midfield, Kelechi Iheanacho's electric pace ensured it was his toe rather than the goalkeeper’s glove that made first contact with the ball, resulting in a fairly routine penalty to be given. With a stutter, he then cooly dispatched the penalty, drawing his side level in the process. Just like that, despite a quiet game overall, in a two-minute spell Kelechi Iheanacho displayed all the attributes that make him such a highly-rated young striker and why we love him to bits at Scouted: pace, composure, and clinical finishing. Kelechi Iheanacho (20) celebrates after equalising from the spot — his fifth goal in six games for the Super Eagles. It may have been Iheanacho's name that rang around the stadium, but it was no doubt Isaac Success that shone the brightest for Nigeria on Thursday evening. His brutish strength proved too much to handle and by creating chances and applying pressure, the Super Eagles were eventually able to punish an increasingly nervous-looking Senegal side. Watford fans will now be hoping that the former Granada man can translate his excellent display into concrete playing time at Vicarage Road. A perceived lack of match fitness has plagued his time in England so far, and perhaps even for good reason. Such a muscular, explosive player will always exert much more stress on his body and recovering from an injury, of which he has already suffered a few, takes frustratingly longer than usual. Ten-minute bursts will hopefully soon become thirty-minute cameos and in time Success may even be unleashed from the start. His physicality, style of play and demeanour all carry a sense of volatility and inconsistency but when they combine and marry together in harmony, like they did on Thursday night, Isaac Success becomes an entirely different animal: an unstoppable freight train who can just as easily bamboozle his opponent with a piece of deft trickery as he can trample all over them without breaking stride. IHEANACHO! He wins the penalty and then nonchalantly tucks it home. The stutter will divide opinion. 10:49 PM - 23 Mar 2017 20 16 Jake Entwistle @JakeEntwistle All in all, it was a night of conflicting performances from the young Nigerians, especially from their strong Premier League contingent. But where some may have disappointed, others delighted and it was the performance of brick-s**t house, Isaac Success, that helped the Super Eagles extend their unbeaten run to six games and fans at The Hive buzzing... (I had to do it.) By Jake Entwistle.
(@JakeEntwistle ) http://sfhandbook.com/new-blog/2017/3/24/isaac-success-nigerias-all-action-powerhouse-performer# I really think...Success should be deployed as a CF and Kelechi as SS or AM.... this combo I believe will throw in goals.. still remember their partnership during UAE Under 17 world cup 2013... |

komekn: First of all yes I am involved in football but I am not an agent.
First assumption wrong I was actively seeking Sunday Mba and Etebor to come to the Premiership. When both were in Warri Wolves. I mentioned Mba before I am accused of tribalism with regards to Etebo. But the red eye hungry guys around them made us withdraw. Yes I go watch Warri Wolves inside Sun for Warri I don't just sit in Protea hotel.
Let's equate the Bundesliga 2, is it Superior to the Championship or even League one. It's open to debate. However, how many professional league games has Bazee played compared to Onyedinma who is in the same age range although actually younger , plays as a winger or midfield. Voted Man of the match at 18 playing against Charlton in championship for Millwall. Onyedinma has played 85 professional league games and Bazee has played 26. So if I consider Onyedinma a better prospect is that bias or informed rational assessment.
When Onyedinma will now sign for a premiership team for £10 million plus. Then we will start to lobby too cap him when maybe it's too late.
So who have I insulted State facts and not assumed sentimentality or quoting those who have totally misquoted me.
I have mentioned Tega Abraham 3rd highest goalscorers in the championship or am being biased because he is from Delta. Scoring twenty goals in the championship is not Ewah & Dodo. Or we could mention Oviemuno at Liverpool played already a few first team games.Or Tega Onumah at Tottenham played 12 games same number as £30 million Sissoko.
So is this irrational to say they should be courted now and not later. Or I am being biased towards England innit boys as some have said.
I could talk of all the Naija boys in Chelsea but there is not enough space. Some of all these boys from obscure leagues in Europe would probably not be able to get into Chelsea youth set up. So what is the bias.
I find this forum educative, informative and conversant I have learned a lot about NPFL. Indeed one of the reasons I found myself in Warri watching Etebor. And he is not the only one I have watched. Sir I believe we all must not always share same views or opinions but in all there is need to respect each other's points. I like your points as it always educate me long before I joined this thread.... I still repeat conversations on this thread made me join nairaland. please stick to your views better to be know for something....but in all sir let' us be flexible |
