Most political office holders in the east were not Igbo peoples choice, only insignificant few of them. Most times it is the rotten Nigerian federal system and its decayed electoral and judicial systems that force the wrong political leaders on Igbos against their own wills. You saw that play out in Imo State where Fulani controlled federal government forced a corrupt criminal on Imo state people as their Governor against their will and choice. This is Same for most critical positions in Southeast.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an irrelevant organization in Igbo land, it's a political group born out of political wills of corrupt Igbo politicians corrupted by the rotten Nigerian federal government system.

Go to markets, Igbo communities and see pure Igbo peoples elected unions in action making communal progress, developing Igbo communities, building roads and townhall and markets that corrupt governments refused to build.

Most successful Igbo businessmen started small like its a childsplay, they remain consistent and patient while others are rushing after fat paid jobs with their long degrees and CVs, so with time, their persistence and patience pays off.


I know so many close friends who are millionaires today but they started from small online business of selling things online and then building a company around their product and then developed a brand that now sell beyond Nigerian borders.


Igbos are innovative, creative, patient and consistent with business and reason they turn small scale kiosk businesses to successful enterprise.

Yes there are Igbos into drug peddling too, but one unique thing about Igbos still remains, even the ones doing drugs will hardly rely solely on that drug trafficking, instead they use it to raise their startup capital and venture into their dream business and most quit while some continue and end in doom. But other tribes will make money from crime and remain in that crime as a means of livelihood instead of quitting and investing the money into something viable.


I am Igbo, I speak as someone that knows most young successful Igbo entrepreneurs you may have been hearing and as someone also trying to make a name in the business field for himself, Igbos are really creative in business. Maybe it's a blessing from God because even me, the kind of ideas that run into my head most times gets me marveled and even make my none Igbo friends envy me but I believe it's all God's gift to Igbos.



Remember I don't dispute the fact that some Igbo guys are into crime, but my point is don't have that belief that young successful Igbo business owners are into crime, most are not, and I am one of them and I know what I passed through to get to where I am today, and I think it all boils down to God factor, destiny, time, desire, vision and consistency

The only thing they did not do was to roast and eat them like the Sallah day massacre in Plateau in 2011 when some Plateau youths attacked worshippers on Eid day, killed, roasted and eat the dead bodies. It's just a matter of time, they will start eating the dead bodies of their victims as the curse spreads.

It does not matter your grievances with a person or a people, if evil befalls them you cannot afford to be happy about it. To be happy for evil makes you evil. No Pastor or Man of God preaches hatred for Islam or Muslims. Christianity preaches forgiveness, repentance and winning souls through good deeds like miracles, healings, charity, etc, which is why Christians havent gone ballistic in wiping out Muslims who are giving the world problem today via global terrorism.

Before the 1966 first coup, Muslim youths started a Muslim uprising against Southern Christians in which hundreds if not thousands of Igbos lost their lives in Northern states. These continuous killing and mobbing of Igbos living in the north by Northern Muslim youths in the name of Islamic religious doctrine of blasphemy or uprising is the major reason Igbos see Northern Muslims as killers inspired by their barbaric Islamic doctrines that doesn't tolerate or give room for repentance or forgiveness.


Now coupled with the widespread Islamic terrorism rampaging the world, it made it more easier for the whole world to now see Islam as a symbol of terrorism and mob killing in the name of religion, so don't blame Igbos at all.
