Carson110: Mumu get your fact right. A government that works must strive to better the economic life of its territory. Akwa ibom government builds industry and manage it that's what you tagged ' controlling means of production'? You are not very well educated and enlightened. You just allow your hate for akwa ibom to becloud your sense of reasoning. These ingrates come to Akwa ibom on a daily from neighbouring Rivers and Abia state to do business or look for job but they lowkey hate an average akwa ibom person. But I'm different. I'm a traveller. Ive seen lots and lots of your kind mostly amongs the Igbos ans Edos. You can't shut me down in an argument. Just mention your state and I will tell you its unclothedness. God bless you bro |
Politics › Re: Akwa Ibom Police Commissioner Orders Detention Of Police Inspector by Hunchogee: 8:59pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
Nnamnugochi: The Commissioner of Police, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Edgal has ordered the detention of a Police Officer, Inspector Imoh attached to Operation Porch, Edem Akai, Etim Ekpo LGA for allegedly assaulting and threatening a Pastor with his eldest brother on Tuesday, June 09,2020 around 6:30pm along Aba-Ekparakwa Road @ Uruk Ata 2, Etim Ekpo LGA. The suspect slapped the pastor three times after checking his vehicle and found nothing incriminating but because the pastor refused to give him money. Immediately the Commissioner of Police got wind of the incidence, he ordered the officer of the nearby Divisional Police Station which is Ukanafun Divisional Police Station to get the suspect arrested that night. The Patrol Van moved with the complainant to the scene of crime and got the police Inspector, Mr Imoh arrested. He is yet to face the orderly room trial.
It could be recalled that just last week, the same Police Commissioner, Mr Edgal had announced the dismissal of a Police Constable, Mr Mfon Esio from the Police as a result of being involved in initiation rites of a secret cult, Junior Vikings Confraternity in May. Nice one from the state |

OVB123: Yes, on infrastructures, it's better than most states in nigeria but on human capital developments, it is very low. Another thing i observed is that the state is a socialist or mix-socialist economy, whereby Government controls the means of production. When you say that , how thus it add up. Do you know since from creation of that state there have no federal present in that state. Akwa Ibom been a young state has been running its state as a state city....everything in the state is owned and run by the state including their airport ...so please give them a fovking break ok. And before you start saying the have low human capital development inwhich I think includes education , get educated your self before spreading trash online. Kinematics: Flooding is a natural thing that can happen anywhere. Some places are more prone to flooding than others no matter how well you plan to avoid it.
However concerning Akwa Ibom State, not every hype you see on nairaland you should believe. Besides the hype the people themselves celebrate any little achievement they make eg last week they were celebrating a COVID-19 testing lab, they even made a thread here for it, something that has been in existence in 21 states of the nation without noise making. It's a cultural thing over there. Your back with your nonsense ok, I don't know your state but you sound funny as usual ok. Let me advice you quit always taking nonsense ok |

Nobody live in such house in Eket. Talking about flooding show me a state that doesn't experience flood. Is it Lagos, Anambra, Deltaor even the poverty stricken Kogi state that is 80% flooded? Edem Udom is a very rural settlement in Esit Eket and the typographic of the place is so sand rough and can easily be prone to flood. So let relax the most Important thing is no live lost and let wait for the post flood reaction from the State Government before we start insulting them. As for federal government the make it look as if Akwa Ibom is a state city inside a Country and should manage themselves in everything. I can't still believe that there is no federal government present in the state since creation till now. |

kingzjay: Akwa Ibom gets the highest allocation in this country excluding the 13% oil derivation and royalties for Mobil and IGRs.....
My brothers and sisters, if you get to the rural parts of Akwa Ibom, you will see extreme poverty and poor state of living.
I'm not accusing anybody whatsoever, but sincerely, our leaders have failed us. These days paying salaries and constructing roads are the Hallmark of achievements our Governor celebrates.
The pallatives given to indigenes during the lockdown was an Eyesore. A whole family got one cup of rice and beans, for those who were lucky to receive oh. The politicians highjacked the process and left the people wailing.
Taxes in the state are being enforced even with the effect of this pandemic. Tricycle and mini bus drivers are really suffering. They buy tickets even on Sundays. What a country.
I don't know how, but God needs to really help us. You sound stupid , how thus the subject matter concerned poverty. Ok pls mention 1 state that has no poverty forgetting Nigeria is the poverty headquarter of the world. You can educate yourself with the attachment ok. Stop spreading nonsense to fools to buy

Akwa Ibom rice farmers start wet season planting Idowu Peters Idowu Peters 11 hours ago The Rice Farmers’ Association of Nigeria (RIFAN), Akwa Ibom chapter has started ‘Batch A’ 2020 Wet Season Rice planting in the state. Dr Emmanuel Bassey, the Chairman of the Association performed ceremony at National Cereal Research Institute, Owot Uta, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA on Thursday. Bassey thanked members for their prompt response and huge attendance at the event, which portends their readiness to achieve the aims and objectives of the exercise. He enjoined them to make good use of the opportunity offered by the exercise to contribute significantly to a buoyant post COVID-19 economy recovery in the state. “We can bounce back the economy of the state through massive production of rice by employing appropriate farming methods, proper application of inputs and implements supplied by CBN through RIFAN,” he said. He urged members and farmers to participate in the ongoing registration of farmers in the state. According to him, the registration will provide reliable data base for farmers in the state and identify genuine farmers for support that would give them the capacity to perform optimally. The RIFAN chairman said that the economy registration would also attain to food sufficiency, generate employment and create wealth in line with the completion agenda of the present administration. The chairman used the opportunity to distribute a number of farm inputs and implements such as fertilisers, rice seeds and seedlings, water pump, herbicides, among others to the farmers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/naija247news.com/2020/06/14/akwa-ibom-rice-farmers-start-wet-season-planting/amp/Akwa Abasi Ibom Amaka Lalaclata carry am go front page oo
