Lagos State’s Stability is a Barometer for Nigeria’s Stability – Amb. Tukur Buratai



The Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS, Nigerian Army) and Former Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Ambassador (Lt General rtd) Tukur Yusufu Buratai, CFR has said that Lagos State has all the qualifications of a modern city and is one of the most populated cities in Sub – Saharan Africa. He went further to affirm that Lagos is also indicative of the degree to which Nigeria’s economic, political, social, and cultural landscape is deeply embedded within the global system.





He made this assertion on Wednesday 20th November, 2024 as the keynote Speaker at the Second Edition of the Lagos State University of Education Security Summit, with the theme: Insecurity, Cost of Living and Good Governance in the 21st Century.





Ambassador Tukur Buratai, while delivering the lecture in a paper titled: Lagos in Nigeria’s National Security and Defence Architecture: An Analysis.





Ambassador Tukur Buratai postulated in his paper that, “The presence of strategic military installations, the verse Atlantic Ocean and extensive coastline has placed Lagos State on the strategic defense map of the Armed Forces of Nigeria”, He said further that, ” While the sea provides a strategic economic status it could also be vulnerable to external attacks across the ocean”.



In his paper, Ambassador Tukur Buratai reiterated that the Lagos State government should begin to look at the options and implications of having its own security.



Ambassador Tukur Buratai also emphasized the urgent necessity to bolster our nation’s troop level to 800,000. He said a larger and more robust force will enhance operational readiness, improve our country’s capacity to respond to various contingencies, and strengthen our alliance on the international stage.





He also called for the establishment of a Marine Corps for the Nigerian Navy to be strategically stationed in key regions such as Lagos, Borno, Cross River, and Port Harcourt.






He also raised the pressing issue of the persistent lack of stable power supply in Lagos. He asserted that the Lagos State Government must urgently prioritize the development of independent power generation.



Ambassador Tukur Buratai also lauded the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s strategy regarding security in Lagos, which provides an example for governor’s throughout Nigeria. He said the governor recognizes that genuine security transcends mere physical presence or reactive measures. He commended the governor’s innovative approach, which has redefined the urban governance, and has also set a benchmark for other states to follow.





Ambassador Tukur Buratai also recalled that during his tenure as the Chief of Army Staff, he had the distinct privilege of witnessing the fruitful collaboration between the Nigerian Army and Lagos State under the leadership of Former Governor Ambode and now Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.





Ambassador Buratai, during the lecture, also appluaded the Lagos State Government on its infrastructural development in Lagos State, especially the Red and Blue Railway lines.



Ambassador Tukur Buratai also commended the Federal Government interventions in the development of Lagos State, while applauding the construction of the Lagos to Calabar Highway, he adviced the Lagos State and Federal Government on the security implications of opening up the high way, he suggested to the government to be proactive by early planning for its security when opened and becomes operational.



Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Education, Prof B. B Lafiaji-Okuneye welcomed Ambassador Tukur Buratai to the institution. In her words, she said, ” The great warlord and global peace ambassador is visiting our great institution for the first time. Sir, we appreciate you and what you stand for. Your desire for a Nigeria that is peaceful and safe, where the citizens and residents are free and are given every opportunity to prove their worth and contribute to the growth and development of the nation is evident “.





While making his contribution during the summit, the Commissioner of Tertiary Education, Lagos State, appreciated and commended Ambassador Buratai for adding value to the security summit and more importantly adding value to the Lagos State University of Education. The Commissioner also drew the attention of the participants of the summit to parts of Ambassador Buratai’s paper, where he elaborated on the strategy of social inclusiveness rather than the use of force to curb insecurity.






The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Barr Tolani Sule on behalf of the Lagos State University of Education, presented a Plague of Honour to Ambassador Buratai for his role in nation building.

Prophet Hezekiah Visits Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse’s FANO For A 5 Day Prophetic Miracle Conference






The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji is on a five day apostolic visit to Freedom For All Nations Outreach in Pretoria West, South Africa shepherd by his Spiritual son, Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse. The five days apostolic programme is tagged prophetic and miracle conference with the theme, Manifestation of New Glory from November 21st till 25th November, 2024 at 5pm daily.

According to the General Overseer of Freedom For All Nations Outreach and founder of FANO Television, Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse, his spiritual father, Prophet Hezekiah has confirmed his presence for the prophetic and miracle conference.He revealed that the conference will feature salvation,healing,deliverance, signs, wonders, prophetic solutions and answers to myriads of issues plaguing individuals and nations who will participate in the programme.




Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji was born into a Baptist family at Edun Abon, Ile Ife in Osun state. Though a religious Christian family, his father also indulged in the traditional religion by way of performing rituals and the likes; hence the family was not saved.



Prophet Hezekiah developed an ailment in his leg which prevented him from going to school, therefore he decided to learn a vocation and his choice was automobile mechanic.



In 1980, his mother died and 4 years later, he left home for Oshogbo; a day in which he incidentally met Jesus. Alighting from the bus at Oshogbo bus park, he heard some people singing a song which translates to “Jesus is calling you friend, come, this world is vanity everything will soon end”.



The trail of the source of this song led him to a church not far off – Christ Apostolic Church, CAC Araromi; a church where his guardian coincidentally attends. It was at this church he received healing for his leg at a crusade Prophet Obadare had there.


Alone in church on one night at about 2.00am, God appeared to Prophet Hezekiah in company of Prophet Ayo Babalola (the first General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church) and told him they had a mission for him to the church and also the world. Asked if he would do the work, Prophet Hezekiah said ‘YES’ to the call after which God instructed Apostle Babalola to anoint him with oil.



The oil was physically on his head when he woke up the next morning and was there for another 5 to 6 days; the oil still comes out of his forehead today anytime he engages in some fervent prayers. Efforts to enrol in a seminary in 1991 and 1992 failed as God was nudging him to be taught directly by Him, however he later attended a seminary, but found it unfulfilling.


Though he had been anointed for ministry work, Prophet Hezekiah started a transport business while also working as an automobile mechanic with his partner and friend. However in the bid to bring him back in line with his calling, God orchestrated an event in which one of the vehicles Prophet Hezekiah used for the transport business had an accident at Olode garage where he had come to settle and live.



This was in 1996 and two occupants in the vehicle died and this was also confirmed by the hospital as Prophet Hezekiah was asked to take the corpses to the mortuary. Saddened and weeping because of the event and on the way to the mortuary, God asked him if he was ready for the assignment and the prophet Hezekiah succumbed and said ‘I am’.


Immediately, God asked him to go back and lay hands on the corpses and they both came alive after the touch. This miracle served as the confirmation of the call of God on the life of Prophet Hezekiah. From that point on, he gave out all the vehicles he used for the transportation business, became more active in the ministry and eventually started CAC Canaan Land in 2000.

He is currently the General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide. He succeeded Prophet S.K Abiara who retired after so many years of propagating the gospel.

Malawian Parliamentary Aspirant Reveals How Prophetic Encounter With Pro. Samuel Akinbodunse Turned His Life Around

How do you know a true prophet? It's when God honours his prophecies with confirmation. It was jubilation at Freedom For All Nations Outreach in Pretoria, South Africa during the Sunday service at the ministry’s headquarter when an aspirant for the House of Parliament in Malawi, Apostle Wiilaims, gave a shocking testimony of confirmation of prophecy given to him Prophet Samuel Akinbodunse.



According to him, he attended their Encounter with mercy service in 2023 and during the ministration, prophet Akinbodunse located him through prophecy and said he was supposed to have over 600 people working for him and he prayed for him. Interestingly, Apostle Williams said he was confused as to how such a prediction could become a reality since he was struggling with his business.


However, shortly after the prophetic encounter, he got an unusual breakthrough that turned his life around.



" I had a prophetic encounter at FANO on the 21st of July, 2023 during the Encounter with mercy service. And the man of God located me and prophesied to me something powerful which I didn't understand and was wondering how would that be possible.He said I was supposed to have over 600 people working for me. I wondered how that would be possible. I never knew he saw what God had in plan for me. After the prophecy within a short period of time, my people back at home in Malawi endorsed me to represent them in parliament. By next year I will be contesting as a member of the parliament in Malawi. Within the same period of time I have a brother based in the USA who said the project is big and he wanted me to come over. On the 31st of March 2024, I flew to America and came back in September. While abroad I saw exactly what the man of God prophesied over me. Right now, I have more than a thousand people that are working for me", Says Apostle Williams.



Aside from that, during the service while ministering, Prophet Akinbodunse gave a word of knowledge that some people are on daily injections. Some members stood up to confirm the word and he prayed for them. An elderly woman who came into the service with a walking aide raised her voice for prayers that she was on injection too due to injuries that affected her leg down to her spinal cord region. The clergy prayed for her and she received instant healing and danced excitedly as God healed her.

With only a few days to the governorship election coming up in the acclaimed 'Sunshine State' precisely on Saturday, October 16, 2024 the empirical evidences on ground point to the political pendulum swinging in favour of the incumbent state governor Aiyedatiwa, for more reasons than one. While we must admit that it would likely evolve as an exciting two-horse race between two former deputy governors-Agboola Ajayi of the People's Democratic Party ( PDP) and Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress) APC) the facilitating factors that favour the latter against the former are crystal clear.

One of such is continuity combined with consistency. Having taken over the baton of political leadership upon the painful death of the former state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu back then in December 2023 he has solidified his footsteps by continuing with the projects on infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare delivery, industrialization and youth employment. That is across the three Senatorial Districts of the state. And good enough, the Deji of Akure who, incidentally is the Chairman of the Council of Obas in the state has testified to this as reflected in the introductory quote.

Furthermore, Aiyedatiwa happens to be the first governor to hail from Ilaje, the oil-rich local government of the state which has amply qualified it as an oil-producing state. Apart from financially benefiting with the monthly 13 % derivation from the Federation Account it has made it possible for the state to belong to the Niger Delta Development Commission ( NDDC). The good people of Ondo state would therefore, not want to turn their back on the goose that lays the golden egg. That is common wisdom.

In a similar positive perspective, Ilaje Local Government boasts of the longest coastal line in the entire West African Sub-region. Once the seaport there which is under construction is fully developed, it will definitely act as the veritable linkage between the Lekki Seaport to the west and other seaports in Asaba, Calabar to the east.With Aiyedatiwa's influence Ondo state would soon become an economic hub acting as a catalyst for massive employment generation, especially for the youths. With all that firmly in place Ondo state would continue to be well branded as an icon of peace, devoid of youth restiveness. But that is not all there is to the positive difference his presence in office would make on the quality of life or the Human Development Index (HDI) of Ondo people.


Like it or not, the power of incumbency has a critical role to play in boosting the chance of Aiyedatiwa emerging victorious in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.He belongs to the ruling APC and lest we forget, the party has over the years displayed the capacity to mend broken fences, assuage frayed nerves after contentious primaries, when it comes to being a united front to winning elections. We have seen that at play in states such as Katsina, Nasarawa, Kogi, Ogun, Ekiti and of course, Lagos. That explains why the current Chairman of APC, Abdullahi Ganduje has been doing all things humanly possible to offer the party's support to Aiyedatiwa to win the election.

And as fate would have it, our subject has shown the consistent capacity to reach out to different segments of the Ondo state society- from the lowest rung through the middle class up to the upper echelon. He has given them his listening ear; promising solar light to the markets for the women to sell their sundry goods in the evening time, as well as stable infrastructure across the state. That of course, would provide the foundation for the Medium and Small Scale Enterprises MSMEs to keep thriving
Worthy of note is the interactive session the governor had with members of the Committee of Obas at the palace of the Deji of Akure Oba Aladelusi. After listening to their request for the construction of internal roads including those leading to and fro the markets, with Igbatoro Road not left out he had this to say. " I won't relent in my infrastructural projects.The solar power initiative will continue.We have competed phase one and we will move on to phase two".

In addition, and to seal the unfailing element of Trust which is the key to the hearts of the led majority Aiyedatiwa affirmed that: "I have been addressing issues related to the Obas. The voice of the King is akin to God's voice". Such assurance would definitely have a spin-off effect on the kings convincing their people to throw their weight behind him.

So, looked at from the factors of incumbency, political affiliation, identity, zoning, having the common touch with the people right to the grassroots and of course, that of performance, Aiyedatiwa stands head and shoulders above his 16 other contesters. That is in a free, fair and credible election which we all look forward to during the governorship election in Ondo state, with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC 's quality performance to deliver the choice of the people. The Agency working in partnership with the police should guarantee security, to ensure that voting materials are delivered to the polling units as at when due. There should be no ballot box snatching, intimidation or shooting of innocent people by paid political thugs, to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process.

Interestingly, Aiyedatiwa has 'Lucky' as his name. Will it ring a loud and clear bell on that moment of the people 's decision? Time will tell.

Accompanied by a distinguished delegation, Lt. Gen. Buratai extended his deepest sympathies to Mrs. Maria Lagbaja, the widow of the late COAS, and their family.

The A& Forensic Institute has awarded staff members of the Afriq Group of Companies the Certified Cryptocurrency Compliance Specialist (CCCS) certification after they successfully completed the required training. The ceremony, held in Abuja from November 4 to 8, 2024, marked a significant milestone for Afriq Group’s dedication to compliance and security in the cryptocurrency sector.

General Buratai Urges Dangote Not To Succumb To Marketers Blackmail, Reveals Why



Former Chief of Army Staff and erstwhile envoy of Nigeria to the Republic of Benin, Lt. General TY Buratai Rtd (CFR) has lent his voice to the lingering issues between Dangote Refinery and petroleum marketers in Nigeria. The decorated General urged Dangote, not to succumb to the marketers blackmail.


In an exclusive chat with some journalists on his opinion over the imbroglio between the two gladiators, he raised a fundamental question as regards who is blackmailing Dangote?


According to Buratai, Dangote refinery can not operate outside the global oil system. Just because it refines locally and gets its crude in Naira is not a reason to sell it cheaper. He stated that the government must susidise because it is making a profit. However, the question of subsidy is very sensitive now. But when subsidy is reintroduced, it should be only for locally refined products. At the same time, our borders must be closed for all smugglers, especially in petroleum products.


“Our borders are porous, and high-level smuggling is witnessed in every sphere. Dangote must find markets elsewhere to be able to maintain its operations. It is good news that Ghana and other African countries are approaching Dangote to buy his products.



“If Dangote refinery sells its product cheaper, be rest assured the products will be massively smuggled. The petroleum marketers are not sincere. They want cheap Dangote products to be able to smuggle them outside our shores. In this case, both Nigerians and Dangote will be the losers.”



Continuing, Buratai believed that “Unless all our borders are properly manned and all the smuggling routes are blocked, then the government subsidy will work for our benefits”


“Dangote should not succumb to the marketers' blackmail”, he concluded.




It would be recalled that the row between Dangote Refinery and petroleum marketers in Nigeria has taken a new dimension following the comment by the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote that petroleum marketers were not approaching his refinery for purchase of petroleum products.

There has been an uneasy calm since the roll-out of premium motor spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from the Dangote Refinery in September. Their were discordant tunes between the management and the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and other petroleum marketers.


Dangote refinery has disclosed the price of its petrol, revealing that it sells petrol at N960 per litre for ships and maintains a price of N990 per litre for trucks.

The statement follows claims from the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) and the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) that they can import fuel at cheaper rates than Dangote's.

In an earlier interview, the marketers alleged they were buying fuel more affordably from abroad and called on Dangote Refinery to collaborate with stakeholders.

In response, the refinery argued that only substandard products could be obtained at prices lower than its own.
