Afam4eva: What really worries me is the bananas i see in Lagos everyday. I don't know how people can confidently be selling bananas that look like something sacrificed to obatala. Those bananas are very far from edible.I swear, those bananas have more black than green on them |
But i thought Dangote doesn't like having any factory/industry/plant in the South East (and South South as well, if my memory serves me right)......so how come he's now interested in some of the power plants located in the region? I think he should focus his interest on the South West and Northern regions! Some people think they're clever! You don't trust my region enough to locate any of your businesses, but when there's easy pickings on offer, you elbow your way to the front of the queue!
Is it your fathers money he is using to build his factories? |

spongeback: Just a thought, why is it that the people that quote the whole article end up saying nonsense. The quality of thinking that makes them to click on "quote" instead of "reply" also affects what they write. |
The Nigerian bereau of statistics is currently in the process of rebasing Nigerias GDP from a baseyear of 1990 to 2010, ghana did a similar rebasing from 1993 to 2006 and saw a 60% increase in gdp. keeping in mind the rapid expansion of the nigerian economy that has given birth to new sectors such as entertianment, internet commerce and telecommunications As well as the massive growth in the sectors of banking and finance, wholesale, retailing, textile and mining in which over $25billion worth of unprocessed gold left the country in previous years according to a report by the Nigerian extractive industries transparency initiative, NEITI. What is your estimate of the new figure the rebasing would put nigerias GDP at? |
Any mentally upright person should be ashamed to post or reply any religious comment on a thread like this. Isn't it obvious that every religion has shortcomings, what is the point of coming here to quote the quran, are you suggesting that we convert over 80million muslim to christians as the only path to peace? This thread is about a new division in the Nigerian army. |
egift: Same to you in double portion, Amen.Nobody is going to attack me. I don't tell lies or spoil anybody or countries image. |

No military in the world ordinarily goes about making the noise about thier achievements and capabilities. The reason we know so much about the militaries of other countries is because the populace and media of that country has being enquiring enough. The reason we know so much of us military is because of hollywood, cnn, timemagazine etc |
Hezron Lorraine: Hunter, your thread needs better details.that way,it will be taken more seriously.we have doubting thomas's on NL.they are ready to kill this thread with their ignorance of the Nigerian military.Thank you. |
SPECIAL OPERATIONS CAPABILITY The Nigerian military has well versed and well trained special forces. The army 72 Batalion was trained in 2009 by isreali instructors on special warfare and since then have being regularly training with the Pakistani ssg and other elite units from other countries. They have experience fighting in northeast Nigeria, mali----they have being in mali months before the publicised deployment of troops. and there are reported to have being involved in ivory coast. The army has since created more special warfare units to include: 1. 101 batalion: dedicated counter terrorist/direct action unit. 2. 176 batalion. 3. Desert force1: desert warfare specialists. 4. I don't know the designation of this batalion, but it was trained by navy in scuba diving and other aspects of littoral warfare The 72batalion itself, is specialised in halo parachute jumps. The navy also has an over 100man special boat service unit who are also as capable as theIr army counterparts.

------In addition to No1 under technology, i'd like to remind us of the vulnerability of supposedly stealth warplanes e.gf-22, b-2 spirit to radar detection when covered from elevation angle of high flying AEWACS aircrafts, not to talk of radar at 84km altitude angle of elevation |
STILL ON TECHNOLOGY, 3. Nigeria has over the last couple of years developed missile technology and has underground missile production facility on a site at epe, lagos.
