Christianity Etc › Re: Nigerian Naira Is Full Of Masonic Symbols by hunter21(m):
when i first saw this thread my reaction was no be only masonic symbol, na ogbonic symbol.
But on reading OPs post i think we should not be quick to condemn the OP. It is good to observe. My hypothesis on surpposed "secret societies" of the acient period is that they are just analogous to the secret services of this contemporary period. They are the founding fathers of the society but has the society grew, newer generations forgot about them and see them as strange. They do not make any concious attempt to hide thier existense. On the individual level, they are like the anamalistic behaviours that everybody exhibits but no one wants to talk about. These symbols may look like masonic symbols but they might even be of indigenous societies like the ogboni, course they all have similar mystical beliefs like reincarnation, karma etc and i disagree that they are necessarily demonic.

Unconventional
Unfettered
You demand a free and
unattached life for yourself
that allows you to determine your own course. You have an
artistic bent in your work or
leisure activities. Your urge for
freedom sometimes causes
you to do exactly the opposite
of what expected of you. Your lifestyle is highly
individualistic. You would
never blindly imitate what is
"in"; on the contrary, you seek
to live according to your own
ideas and convictions, even if this means swimming against
the tide.

There is a lot of hypocrisy surrounding homophobic folks. They would be the ones to shout fa.ggot, but they would still greet you by using thier knee raise your dlck up or pinching your ni.pples.(yes, it happens). In fact i once had a roommate that used to condemn everything gay, but yet we found up to 20 pictures of erect dlcks on his phone. Even his laptop recycle bin has gay por.no.

Agriculture › FG To Prvatise Bank Of Agriculture. by hunter21(op): 5:10pm On Sep 06, 2013
Vice-President Namadi Sambo disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja while speaking at the closing ceremony of the 19th Nigerian Economic Summit. The three-day summit had as its theme: 'Growing agriculture as a business to diversify Nigeria's economy.' Sambo said in demonstration of the determination of the Federal Government to transform the agric sector, President Goodluck Jonathan had given approval to the National Council on Privatisation that the BoA should be privatised. The privatisation of the bank, he noted, would enable the Federal Government to unbundle it and make it possible to provide cheaper funds for agriculture. The unbundling of the bank, the vice-president added, would also allow other investors to participate fully in its activities. Sambo also noted that the approval for the privatisation of the Commodities Exchange had been given by the President. The revival of the commodities exchange, he added, would help to ensure that farmers had a market for their produce for sustainability of agricultural production. He said, "The government is also mindful of the problems of access to finance and the current high interest rates on funds faced by our farmers. "But in this regard also, Mr. President has approved a grant
of N15bn to the Bank of Agriculture to be provided to our farmers for the 2013 farming season at one digit low interest rate for this year. "This is a short-term intervention and the Chairman (Nigerian Economic Summit Group) has said we must have long-term continuous process. So, in this regard, the National Council on Privatisation has been granted approval by Mr. President to privatise the Bank of Agriculture. "This is in order to unbundle it and make it possible to provide cheaper funds for agriculture and allow other investors to participate in our agricultural bank. "The revival of the commodity exchange to ensure that farmers have a market of their produce for sustainability of agricultural production is in progress and Mr. President has also approved the privatisation
of our commodity exchange." In addition, Sambo said the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, was currently working on how to establish a Nigerian Development Bank to allow access to funds for infrastructure development. This, he added, would help to provide long-term and low interest rate funds in the country. On the challenges currently facing the agriculture sector, the VP said, "We are also addressing all the bottlenecks that will allow growth and development of the agriculture sector. "In this regard, we will ensure that land security is assured for investment in the agriculture sector. This is why Mr. President set up the Presidential Commission on Land Reforms. "This committee has reached an advanced stage (in its assignment). Without security of land, it will be difficult for investors to have the security needed for investment in land improvement." He said the Federal Government would take practical steps to implement the recommendations of the summit, adding that this would help to change the face of agriculture in the country. Sambo added that going forward; agriculture would no longer be treated as a development programme but a business. He said the unlocking of the potential of the agricultural sector would help to ensure food security, generate wealth and create jobs.

When the U.S. Navy deploys a
battle fleet on exercises, it
takes the security of its
aircraft carriers very seriously
indeed. At least a dozen warships
provide a physical guard while
the technical wizardry of the
world's only military
superpower offers an invisible
shield to detect and deter any intruders. That is the theory. Or, rather,
was the theory.
Song Class submarine Uninvited guest: A Chinese
Song Class submarine, like the
one that sufaced by the U.S.S.
Kitty Hawk American military chiefs have
been left dumbstruck by an
undetected Chinese submarine
popping up at the heart of a
recent Pacific exercise and
close to the vast U.S.S. Kitty Hawk - a 1,000ft supercarrier
with 4,500 personnel on
board. By the time it surfaced the
160ft Song Class diesel-electric
attack submarine is
understood to have sailed
within viable range for
launching torpedoes or missiles at the carrier. According to senior Nato
officials the incident caused
consternation in the U.S. Navy. The Americans had no idea
China's fast-growing
submarine fleet had reached
such a level of sophistication,
or that it posed such a threat. One Nato figure said the effect
was "as big a shock as the
Russians launching Sputnik" - a
reference to the Soviet Union's
first orbiting satellite in 1957
which marked the start of the space age. The incident, which took place
in the ocean between
southern Japan and Taiwan, is
a major embarrassment for
the Pentagon.
Battle stations: The Kitty Hawk carries 4,500 personnel The lone Chinese vessel slipped
past at least a dozen other
American warships which
were supposed to protect the
carrier from hostile aircraft or
submarines. And the rest of the costly
defensive screen, which
usually includes at least two
U.S. submarines, was also
apparently unable to detect it. According to the Nato source,
the encounter has forced a
serious re-think of American
and Nato naval strategy as
commanders reconsider the
level of threat from potentially hostile Chinese submarines. It also led to tense diplomatic
exchanges, with shaken
American diplomats
demanding to know why the
submarine was "shadowing"
the U.S. fleet while Beijing pleaded ignorance and
dismissed the affair as
coincidence. Analysts believe Beijing was
sending a message to America
and the West demonstrating
its rapidly-growing military
capability to threaten foreign
powers which try to interfere in its "backyard". The People's Liberation Army
Navy's submarine fleet
includes at least two nuclear-
missile launching vessels. Its 13 Song Class submarines
are extremely quiet and
difficult to detect when
running on electric motors. Commodore Stephen Saunders,
editor of Jane's Fighting Ships,
and a former Royal Navy anti-
submarine specialist, said the
U.S. had paid relatively little
attention to this form of warfare since the end of the
Cold War. He said: "It was certainly a
wake-up call for the
Americans. "It would tie in with what we
see the Chinese trying to do,
which appears to be to deter
the Americans from interfering
or operating in their backyard,
particularly in relation to Taiwan." In January China carried a
successful missile test,
shooting down a satellite in
orbit for the first time.

Politics › Re: If There Is World War III How Will Nigeria Defend Itself? by hunter21(m): 4:13pm On Aug 30, 2013
In the event of a world war, Nigerias primary and secondary objectives would be to protect from exploitation, nigeria and other african allies most especially in the area of crude oil production, as seen in the reagan era plan of 1978
To achieve that feat on Nigerian soil, our strategy should be to discourage the landing of ground forces especially in the nigerdelta, by putting in place measures that would assure any invading force of high casualty rate. These measures should involve transfering the civil defence corps and nysc to the ministry of defence as well as the conscription of about 300000 males between the ages of 21 to 23: the conscription should exclude "only sons" and should take only one son from a family. That should boost the size of our troops to a million. A bulk of these troops(about 40%) should be concentrated in the niger delta and lagos since any attack is most likely to be targeted at our oil fields via amphibious assault of the south coast. Millitary advisers should also be sent to nieghbouring african countries to help them carryout similar mobilisations.
