Phones › HTC U11 Eyes Launched With Face Recognition & Dual Front Cameras by hustla(op): 3:18pm On Jan 16, 2018
HTC has launched another new selfie-centered handset; the HTC U11 EYEs; tagged EYEs as a result of the dual front facing cameras it comes with.

HTC may not exactly as popular as the Apples and Samsungs but they are by no means a small fry in the smartphone business. Their selfie-oriented smartphone; the HTC Desire Eye did exactly one thing when it was released in 2014; it caught the eyes of all and sundry. Launching with 13MP Primary and Secondary cameras with dual-tone LED flash, it was a darling.

It followed it up with a favorite among selfie lovers; the HTC 10 with its 12MP back camera, and a front facing 5MP camera in 2016

HTC U11 EYEs Key Specs and Features

Display

Offering an aspect ratio of 18:9 while being protected by Gorilla Glass 3, the 11 EYEs is fitted with Super LCD 3 Display and is spiced up with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+ AND 401 PPI density)

Camera

The U11 EYEs makes use of the same 12MP rear-mounted camera that is available on the HTC U11. The camera spots a f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual-LED dual-tone flash and Back-illuminated sensor (BSI)

The selfie camera on the other hand makes use of a Dual 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also has Fast HDR, voice activated selfie, beauty mode and the popular Bokeh mode that allows field of depth effect.

Hardware & Software

The U11 EYEs is powered by the low range Snapdragon 652 chipset and 4 GB of RAM and has an internal storage of 64 GB. It also comes with a micro SD card slot in case you need more storage.. A 3,930mAh battery found inside the HTC U11+ flagship phone powers the U11 EYEs.

The U11 also comes with a rear mounted Fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and 4G LTE capabilities. It does not come with the standard 3.5mm audio jack which may be a huge turn off for some users.
The U11 EYEs comes equipped with squeezable Edge Sense pressure-sensitive frame. By squeezing the phone, users can perform different preset tasks. The U11 EYEs runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS in addition to the HTC
A 3,930mAh capacity battery powers the U11 EYEs while it supports fast Fast battery charging (Quick Charge 3.0) out of the box

In another week where we are wondering why all good things come from and stay in China, the HTC U11 EYEs sadly is currently exclusive to China

Computers › 7 Easy Ways To Speed Up Your Windows PC by hustla(op): 2:25pm On Jan 16, 2018
Your PC may be slow as a result of a lot of varying factors; some caused by you, some not. There is no need to panic as there are easy ways to speed up your, ways which do not need you to be a computer Geek to pull off

Here are the ways to speed up your slow Windows PC

Remove Programs You Don’t Use
This is top on our list as its one of the easiest fixes to pull off. Simply open the Control Panel, navigate to Programs > Uninstall a Program. You will see a list of currently installed applications. Look for the ones which you do not use and uninstall.

Installed resources take up a chunk of background processes, autostart entries, system services and are also included in the boot up menu. This clears up your hard drive and leaves system resources available for your use.

Asides this, it also frees up your system from use by apps which may compromise the security of your system as a result of lack of updates

Defragmentation of Your Hard Drive

Defragmentation is likened to cleaning house for your PC, it picks up all the different pieces of data scattered across your computer and neatly arranges them together in an orderly manner. This is important because every computer suffers from the constant growth of fragmentation and if you don’t clean your PC’s house, your PC suffers from the messy data scattered across your computer.

It can be accessed under Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools or by simply typing Disk Defragmenter in the Windows search bar

Free Up Hard Disk Space

If your hard drive is almost completely full, your computer may run noticeably slower. You can quickly free up some space by deleting unwanted programs, old pictures, backing up your information on an external hard disk or using the Disk Cleanup tool for windows which can be accessed under Control Panel > Performance Information and Tools > Free up disk space by deleting unnecessary files

Other ways include running a disk clean up, cleaning temporary files with CCleaner software and disabling windows restore.

Remove / Reduce Animations

Windows make use of some animations to show effect when windows are minimized or maximized. Though these animations are pleasant to the eye, they are often memory guzzlers and can negatively impact the speed of your PC.

There are two fixes for this; Search for performance in the windows search bar > Adjust the appearance and performance of windows > either disable most of the options or create a custom option for yourself.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the desktop, Right click, Click on Personalize and select the Windows Classic option (or Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization). This instantly disables all the Animations and effects and fastens up your PC in no time

Remove Browser Add-Ons
Of course, there are tons of browser extensions in the theme store, add-ons which generally ease our browsing experience or design the overall look of our browsers, but they come at a price. Too many add-ons ultimately cause our browser and allow it to use more memory than it normally would.

Lighten up your web browser by removing add-ons you don’t need or use often. Preventing automatic loading of flash content also helps the CPU from carrying too much load

Scan for Viruses, Malware and Adware
Malware detection software like Malwarebytes is needed to sniff out programs that most antivirus programs tend to not pick up. These programs sneak onto your PC during installation of other programs and thus take up resources without you authorizing them to.

Also, there may be Viruses on your PC which may be connecting on its own to the internet using up your resources and duplicating themselves all over your hard disk. Using strong antivirus software like Kaspersky to clean them up will do the magic

Reinstall your Windows

Out of the list, this should be the last resort if the above mentioned do not fix your issues; a fresh installation of your Windows Operating system.

Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 makes it easy to do this as no Installation CD or Media is needed. Navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery> Reset this PC. This will wipe your installed programs and system settings without destroying your files.

On Windows 7 however, you will need installation media and drivers CD

Computers › Hackers Attack Blackwallet.co, Steal $400,000 From User Wallets by hustla(op): 5:59pm On Jan 15, 2018
Blackhat hackers have hijacked the servers of web-based application for BlackWallet.co. The attack was perpetrated when the DNS server of the Stellar Lumen Crypto (XLM) was accessed by hackers stealing over $400,000 from various user accounts., who still remain at large.

The attack was carried out on Saturday, the 13th of January when Hackers managed to hijack the DNS entry of the BlackWallet domain and redirected same to their own server for their own use.

According to Security researcher, Kevin Beaumont;

“The DNS hijack of BlackWallet injected code analyzed the code before the BlackWallet team regained access over their domain and took down the site.” If you had over 20 Lumens it pushes them to a different wallet,”

This is not the first time BlackWallet.co has been attacked. They also came under attack in July 2017 but additional details were not provided about the incidence in that instance. EtherDelta, Classic Ether Wallet and the Etherparty ICO website have also suffered the same DNS hijackings in recent times.

The attacker’s wallet which was used in laundering the stolen funds has since been identified at; “GBH4TZYZ4IRCPO44CBOLFUHULU2WGALXTAVESQA6432MBJMABBB4GIYI” address.

An estimated calculation of the 669,920 in stolen Lumens is pegged at about $400,192 using the current XML/USD exchange rate.

The BlackWallet team and other XLM owners had put out Red alert warnings on social media platforms, Twitter, Twitter, GitHub and the Stellar Community , all without success, as users continued to log into the rogue BlackWallet.co domain, enter their credentials, and then see funds transferred away from their accounts by the attackers.

As expected the Hackers started moving the stolen funds from account to account in bids to hide traces of their transactions using a Cryptocurrency exchange service called Bittrex where it will most likely be converted into digital currency.

The race against time is on as BlackWallet admin are trying to get Bittrex to block the account used by the Hackers.

Phones › Action Launcher V33 Update Brings Adaptivezoom Feature & More by hustla(op): 5:00pm On Jan 15, 2018
If you love to customize your phone with launchers on Android, then you’ll definitely love the new changes and fixes in Action Launcher’s new V33.0 update

Among the best from the plethora of launcher options available, Action Launcher “brings all the features of Pixel Launcher and Android Oreo to your device, then adds a wealth of color, customization and unique features”

The newest Action Launcher update introduces AdaptiveZoom, a new feature which works when you simply tap an app and its icon naturally animates towards the center of the screen as the app loads. This feature requires adaptive icons but it will work out of the box if you’re running Android Oreo

In addition to this, the new update also brings;

2018 Supporter pack (including 3 exclusive and awesome wallpapers) which costs $6 or $12,
Android 8.1 style “bounce” animation in All Apps drawer
Polish home screen indicator.
An inbuilt weather widget!
Google Now integration for all!
Full Notification Dots support.
It also come with bug fixes, improvements to User Interface and optimizations

Note that Xiaomi actually used it for the top speaker and in their own case it's all about the vibration to replicate the sound... But here we are talking about biometric which I believe will require way more than just vibration..

Also, Xiaomi ended up ditching the tech on the Mix 2 as the result wasn't that awesome...
The same tech was used for Vivos underscreen display
I believe with technological advancements and deduction, it is achievable

Yes Vivo did pull the trick by showing the world that they were the first to implement the in-screen fingerprint scanner. BUT it was poorly implemented and slow to respond. If u check the Youtube video on Vivo's claim, the presenter was struggling to register his fingerprints for more than 30secs. Vivo didn't even mass produced it for d demanding market

Anyway,Samsung and Apple invested heavily on this tech to make sure they were the first to use it in their 2017 flagship but it failed.

Fingers crossed sha cos from the s9 renders that I have checked, Samsung might not be ready for this embedded in-screen scanner
I didn't watch in depth videos but it shows they actually had the balls to try and come up with it first.. Partly because they have nothing to lose and aren't that much of a popular brand like the others..

The S9 won't have it, early renders are showing A redesigned back, the fps has been adjusted and will now be under the Camera ( it's very nice)

The tech will possibly be on the New Note later in 2018..and it's a huge step for Samsung if they can come up with it first

I don't believe Apple will do it.. They'll rather milk their new iPhone X design for years to come without changing anything... It's just normal as they barely come up with new stuff

I for one think since the underdisplay makes use of Piezoelectric waves, Samsung should look into it ASAP as the Xiaomi MI Mix made use of the same tech to entirely limit the bezels of the phone (removing actual speakers)
It will make the Note Entirely bezeless, sleek and insanely pretty without ugly notches

We all need something special on us and that thing is the grace of the ALMIGHTY GOD in heaven. I remember I once talked about grace of GOD on here and some people said some awkward things to me but I ignored them tho. I discovered that one thing missing is the grace of GOD. australia embassy will exceed 32-50 days in processing your visa which is likely not supposed to happen and not only that but the worst deny you visa only when you do not possess the grace of GOD. my brothers and my sisters, it is impossible for you to have the grace of GOD and australia embassy will exceed 32-50 days before granting you your visa, it is also impossible for you to have the grace of GOD and australia embassy will deny you visa. Tah!, for where that one wan happen when " the exceeding riches of the grace of GOD in His kindness towards us through CHRIST JESUS" is resting on us.it is impossible. The bible says "expectations of the righteous ones cannot be cut off/cut short". so i urge everyone of you to pray seriously for the grace of God on you and on your travel package so that you will receive good news of visa grant. I pray; my LORD JESUS it is written in the word of GOD that " for by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of GOD" and so I pray on everyone of us planning to travel to australia that in JESUS name let the riches of the grace of GOD come upon us and speak for us, let everything concerning our dreams to travel to australia turn around for our good, let our visa be granted unto us before 50 days when we apply as it is the australia embassy's time and may we never be denied our visas again through CHRIST JESUS I pray.AMEN. please say amen with me and share your testimony.
