Rail would have been the way to go. Means you can go from point A to point B without holdup and stress
It would take cars off the roads, reduce accidents and provide jobs for many a people
Maintenance engineers Cabs that'd be around point of stops etc etc Seems our leaders just like stress for the average Nigerian |

Kudos to the government. Corruption needs to be talked first, but the names need to be mentioned, or maybe it was a plea bargain. Whatever it is, they should endeavor to print out the names of the corrupt bastards or they will repeat same in the near future |

I've been banned for two years from the travel section for giving out my phone number in French to someone I was trying to help. A ridiculous decision. cc: justwise
The MSc is in English though I understand French a bit. The language schools are for those who want to study in German or French. Germany has lots of English Taught Masters. Check here: https://www.nairaland.com/3052025/general-german-visa-enquiries-part
For those who are buzzing me up for the Foreign Legion. Read up. It's easy to join only if you are in France and meet the requirements. There are no other shortcuts. You must be in France under any type of visa. No online registration.

There are times when my white friends show more concerns towards me than even my Naija friends.
I've been showed more love by people I don't even expect to receive love from.
If I'm to make a choice over again, I'll pick Australia gladly. Wow I've been following this thread quietly for some time. I still will be pending when I get enough to make a move. Are you there for MSc? |
Career › Re: To Become A 2nd Lieutenant In Nigerian Army. Benefits by hustla(m): 4:23pm On May 31, 2016 |
Harbioollah: Yes. After the 5years, you are free to do whatever you like. You will be officially disengaged from service and qualified as a French citizen. Then whatever benefits accrues to a French citizen accrues to you too (Voting, etc). You can choose to join the French military but it's left to you.
There are holidays inbetween but I cannot say how long. About family, forget it. You will be enlisted as single and with no child (even if you have 3wives and 12 children). You can only bring them when you are done with your 5years and attained your citizenship status. They can apply for a short term visa to come visit you though.
I am not in the French Army neither am I in France. But I am moving to France soon for my MSc.
cc: Dhilariousdandy Okay bro. I assume you'd be toeing that part. Maybe if you do, you could create a thread in the travel section about it or something BTW the msc in France will be taught in English or French? Or you'd have to attend language school like in Germany and Co Thanks for the information |

About the job, don't even think about it. You will be receiving allowances. But after the 5 years, I'm free to move on and do whatever I like? How about coming back to naija for hols? Bringing family over? Are you in the French Army or know someone who enlisted? Kindly share |

skypeme: The Nigerian Army isn't as easy as you think my dear, if you don't have anyone to help you then you should think of other businesses you can venture into ,there is going to be many applicant from your state and only 12 or 10 will scale thru the 1st stage, for the 2nd stage, only 6 will scale thru and this is the normal process for each state. While they're encouraging people to join the Army in other countries, the reverse is the case with this hell hole of a country.. Not even based on merit, na man know man basis. Big shame! |

To join the French Army, you need to be a French citizen.
But France has a unit for foreigners called the French Foreign Legion. Here, anybody can join even if you are from Nigeria, Canada, USA or England. You are to serve for 5years. After 3years, you will be eligible for French citizenship.
But the downside is that you have to be in France. If you get can get a visit, study or tourist visa or to any of the Schengen countries, just enter france and go empty to any of the recruiting centres, Viola. That's all. They won't pay for your visa nor provide any visa assistance and they also don't care if you are an illegal immigrant or not. I'll be sure to look into that How about if you can barely speak French? I understand a bit as I went to French school but not quite good at speaking it fluently While serving, can you hold other jobs? Like the reserves in the US Army sometimes do Thank You for the insight |
