noetic2: Have you got your ready? It takes a while to come up with 20 questions. Are you also gonna post your 20 questions? Cuz I would really hate to have to accuse you of being a liar, as honorable a Christian as you are? Are you also gonna post 20 questions? |

noetic2: Jesus lied many times, including claiming to be at once time the Son of God and later God himself. So he impersonated the Son of God and God. |

blacksta: You are making things up now. Proverbs clearly uses the word FOOL. Now my question to you is this. Does the usage by Jesus and the usage by Proverb have the same or different meaning? Expain as follows: Either: 1) The same: . . . . or 2) Different: . . . . |

Religion / Re: How Did You Gave Your Life To Christ? by huxley(m): 8:54pm On Sep 23, 2009 |
noetic2: The answer is wrong. Just because you say something does not make it right. If you had found similar discrepancy in the koran, you would be sticking it up the eyes of the muslims, wouldn't you? Christians just don't like being shown things like this. Well you have got to learn to take. It is there in you bible in several places - Jesus caugth lying multiple times. |

Look at it again: 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Who was Jesus addressing with this speech? People "standing here" and listening to him, about 2000 years ago. Why did Jesus lie, nah. |

noetic2: Are you serious? Shall we do a 20-20 questions marathon? You set 20 questions for me and I do the same for you? Shall we do this? |
Religion / Re: Get Inspired by huxley(m): 8:44pm On Sep 23, 2009 |
blacksta: Can you show us how you got that meaning from the CONTEXT of the verses I posted? And how that is different or similar to your characterisation of atheists as fools? |

I noe regret changing my original title for this thread. At the time, I was falling over backwards to be compliant with Christians here. Unfortunately, this account is no longer accessible my me, or I would change the title back to its original. The heat I put on the Stimulus here was enough to get him OFF NL and he has not returned since. Another one despatched with tail between legs. |

noetic2: No, I am not. Neither is our generation. See exactly what Jesus said: Matthew 16: 24 -28; 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. |

I knew blacksta will NEVER return. I love it when Christians are despatched like this, their tails between their legs. GREAT. |

Deep Sight, What happened to the 5 questions I posted for you about your definition os God? I sense this slimy thing about you - you refuse to address my question and you gloat later that they have all been addressed. |

blacksta: This is the ubiquitous charge from the apologist of the bible. Can you put it into context for us then? This is the verse. Matthew 5: 21"You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' 22But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. 23"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. Let's hear from the bible believer then. But I am sure he will shut up and disappear into the silence of the web. |

herniec: OH YES, I enjoy gloatting at people who lead hypocritical lives. I LOVE to see them FALL and hit their big stinging heads flat on the ground. It gives me no end of pleasure. And I think I am a far better man than them. Can't you see the contradiction in what you just said? A Man of God? If God is on his side, why is this happening to his family? Did they not pray to God? Are they not the subject of millions of prayers daily? |

Deep Sight: OK - now we are talking. Was just checking that I was not gonna waste my time talking about mumbo-jumbo. Just one other thing - Are you sure that science is better placed to give us better picture of what the reality is? |

noetic2: Has your life really been transformed? With all the insults you hurl at your critics? Is that the life of a transformed man? No I left Christian very very young - Before got to 13, I was no longer a Christian. So I spared myself the damage that you are suffering from. No I am not ignoring the malady of Allah/Mo. Rather I am saying that your gods (Jesus, MO, Allah, etc, etc) are all in the same boat. You turn a blind eye to the misdeed and sayings of Jesus just as the muslim turns a blind eye to the misdeed and sayings of Mo. |
Religion / Re: How Did You Gave Your Life To Christ? by huxley(m): 6:46pm On Sep 23, 2009 |
noetic2: Where did we both agree that the transformation of the moslem is ONLY negative. The fact that you state that does not mean that we are both agreed on the issue. I can see you are now resorting to insults as well. Is that a Christian thing? So Christianity did not transform you POSITIVELY after all? noetic2: Do you to to school? Have you got a job and a bank account. Do you make investments plans for the future? If you do anything with a view for providing for and securing and caring for you future, then you are in violation of Jesus's injunction. ALL Christians handle this by ignoring the bizarre and senseless injunctions of Jesus, which is the rational thing to do. noetic2: Exactly, you rationalise like any "normal" person would, and ignore the silly stuff from the bible. The same way the moslems do - they ignore the silly stuff from the koran. |

Time Travel erh? Interesting! If it is possible, how would we come to know this in principle? In other words, are we gonna arrive at this knowledge by scientific means or by some other means? |

GODSON2009: I thought PRAYERS from friends and family are supposed to EDIFY the recipient of the prayer. Jesus said as much - that whatever you ask for in his name will be given. The GO's family prays and is the subject of prayers from RCCG members. God listens to these prayers and grows the church financially and in terms of the membership. How else can you explain the rapid growth of the church? Did God forget about the unity and familiness of the GO's family? Could God not have strengthened the son against the temptations of the flesh? When you pray to God, do you also pray for other people like your family, friends, country, president, etc, etc? Do these petitionary prayers work? How long are these prayers active? Week, Months, Years? |
