Mostly Russians, Finns are international students able to secure jobs on completion of their programm, coz they could speak estonia. Plz I hv some questions I wish to ask * how long does Canada allows an international student stay after their study to find work? 1 yr? 2yrs? * Are there priority on STEM courses as its done in the US for extension of stay after study? * from your personal experience, can anybody recommend any good university for MSc Actuarial science where there is guarantee for funding? Will appreciate your kind response |

Mr Ja'afaru Ahmed, the new Comptroller-General (CG) of the Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS), was involved in age fabrication. Mr. Ahmed, who was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in May as successor to Dr. Peter Ekpendu, was an Assistant Comptroller-General the NPS headquarters in Abuja. According to NPS documents in the possession of SaharaReporters, Mr. Ahmed joined the service on 30 November 1985, at the age of 28. He was posted to the administrative unit at the NPS headquarters. The documents gave Mr. Ahmed's date of birth when he joined the service on July 21, 1957. The date of birth remained consistent until 2015 when Mr. Ahmed sliced two years off his age and arrived at a date of birth of July 21, 1959. NPS documents listing members of the top echelon of the service in 2015 boldly showed Mr. Ahmed, an indigene of Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State, as the sixth highest placed officer. The documents, however, showed a different date of birth to what he claimed at the time he enlisted in the service. NPS sources disclosed to SaharaReporters that the age falsification was encouraged by retired General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazzau, the Minister of the Interior, who wanted Mr. Ahmed to become the of the NPS and spent some time on the post before he retires. The implication of the falsification is that Mr. Ahmed has fraudulently gained two extra years in service. Tnx Still waiting for your response |
@ Enghorla, there is a charging point inside the first class coach but don't know of other coaches. |
@ Cbaba not my fault that I took few pix, their staffs told me it's illegal taking pix so had to take those ones u saw codedly. They even accosted me and made delete some pix i took of AC control area. They are not really biz minded coz I was surprised why they don't want publicity, you the govt work mentality we have. More reasons why it should be managed by private investors. It leaves kano by 9am on Monday, no African time oo |
@ dynamitehimself, no particular departure time, but was told by the railway staff at Ibadan to be at the station by 3pm |
@ datigbogirl, yes you can move with as much load as u desire. All u need do is just pay for the load according to the weight and it will be coach that carries cargo and you are good to go. It moves once a week for now though and leaves kano on mondays. |
Been following the discussions and advices proffered and I must commend u guys for creating time out of ur schedule to answer various questions. Have a degree in Mathematics and intends applying for a MSc Actuarial Science degree, any idea about the job prospect and average annual salary? Will appreciate your kind response. |
@ sammisticated, it doesn't go to zamfara, u can either drop along the way, either at minna, zaria or kaduna, depending on its closeness to ur zamfara. |
@ zealous it's a public transport nt a private one, so u just be vigilant. Though first class coach is very secured coz of presence of those Man o war providing security |
Yea it moves only on Fridays though but don't know the cost. Hp it helps |
@ tsamson, it's #3750 from ibadan to kano, and it leaves only on Fridays and leaves kano for lagos on mondays. No bathing facility, just water system toilet and has enough water for flushing. NB: this is just for first class coach because I didn't use economy class and would know of theirs. |
@ ZealousB all first class coaches are fully air-conditioned including those with sleepers, that's a fact. It even got to a point that we has to plead with their staff to put off the AC coz the cold was too too much. Just go with a cardigan if u intend to book first class coach. |
@ Highvoltage, yea something like that. |
@ Danberg, yes there is portable and foldable bed as u said, it's in a different coach though not ours and mind you, that coach is more expensive than ours, I prefer normal first class coach with just seat coz it affords me the opportunity of meeting new friends, gisting and watching movies from fellow passenger's laptop if you didn't carry urs along. Hp u understand my little explanation |
Adortem:P Adortem, it doesn't stop at Abuja, rather, u cn stop at minna |
[quote author=Emmaesty post=47238035]@ Hybeenoni. Hello, which one is better? Road or Train? @ Emmaesty it depends on ur choice and urgency of ur travel. If you considering speed, then road is better, but if it's for adventure, education and fun, then go by train. Mind u, sometimes, passengers by road spend more than 30hrs by road when their bus get spoilt on the way, plus train gives you rest of mind. |
Adortem:@ Dugbe just opposite Nipost filling station, and yes u can ticket same day, but try do that b4 12noon b4 u r told that first class ticket is finished |
[quote author=Sanchase post=47238549]What a third world country, 29 hours for this trip, this is a risk of human lives. You are lucky armed robbers didn't jump out from bush to attack. I would rather go by foot. @ sanchase, armed police were provided |
jobgbemi:@ jogbemi u feed urself either by patronizing their restaurant or buying foods during stop overs. Their restaurant try sha, coz u can get nicely prepared noodles, rice and swallow. @ the bar, u can also get beer to cool urslf with their music, even though I don't drink, I spent some time there enjoying nice music. |

@ saint I have actually tried but could get any. Applying to Graz univ of science and technology. R u schooling there? |
@ suyamasta the delay were caused primarily due to the management of the railway service by the government. Govt has no business managing the railway, rather, it should be managed by the private investors while Govt act as the regulatory agency just as its done in the telecoms sector. Let me list out the problems below: * sometimes first class tickets are sold when it's not certain that a passenger will secure seat. * some of the staff still this mentality of Govt job, behaving as if they are doing the passenger a favour. * At some stations the head of the train will be removed and driven to another place to get fuel, while I fuel should be made available in such stations without need to wait unnecessarily. * some staff reserve first class seat for pple by verbal agreement even though they have not made payment. * some staff try to make money illegal by bringing passengers in after collecting their money. Though some of their staffs are very friendly I must admit. Had a very good time with many of them |
