gaaaa: @iamblisz, Bro 2 years is not 20 years as it is short, the only con is that things are changing. The requirements might even change but I will advise you go thru the study route if you have the money. OK sir thanks |

gaaaa: @iamblisz . I use the moniker qstomiwa which you sent an email to, I replied without response from you. To have a suitable outcome with AIQS, you need a minimum of 2 years cognate experience under a supervisor who belongs to some international professional bodies as Nigerian Institute of QS is not formally recognised. I know 2 close people who used an NIQS supervisor, one has like 5-6 years and the other has like 7-8 years, it is risky to use an NIQS member, it depends on the case officer. If you had your BTech from FUTA, your degree might not be recognised and assessed as comparable to an Australian Quantity Surveying/Construction Management and Economics degree cos the transcripts list only a small proportion of subjects that may directly relate to Quantity Surveying (A lot of borrowed courses), another case officer might overlook this cos the two QSs I earlier mentioned finished from OAU and they have BSc not BTech. Based on the foregoing, I do not think you have the requirements to get a suitable outcome from AIQS, you can wait till you ve a minimum of two years work experience (IT experience not allowed), no one knows the future of this skilled migration thing as it is getting tougher every hour. Just my 2 cents. Sir thanks for your reply. I never received your mail, I had my B Tech from FUTminna, it a five years course and we borrowed irrelevant courses but not More than the QS courses itself. Since my experience is very important for suitable outcome I guess i should find other options instead of looking for a job and waiting for two years to get the required experience. It's all good, im sill preparing to take TOEFL and GRE, I wanted to use the TOEFL for Australia PR and graduate school. Now I'm left with only the graduate school. Sir Thanks for finding time to elaborate, I really appreciate |

jayooh: Yes, I have done assessment. You can get positive assessment with your first degree only, many people have gotten it as well.
If it's EA, please download the MSA booklet and digest the requirements. You will need to prepare 3 career episodes and a CPD to fit the occupation u nominate Thank you sir Pls hope u mind if send you mail incase I get confused along the way |

Alphadoor: From the above. 45 can't be your maximum attainable points, You need IELTS score : 20pts is a must for a better chance.
In total... You will have 65 (maximum attainable points)..
Check for states that sponsosr your occupation. Visit anzscosearch website for in depth snapshot.
65 will position you well for 190 or 489 Yes sir, I have been preparing for TOEFL for months now, I'm worried about my no experience and my only qualification is a b tech. |

Olalekank: It's understandable. No need to be disappointed but rather be glad that you were able to identify your weaknesses. Look at the questions/topics you didn't perform well in and try to cover them.
All the best in your GRE.
Practice Practice Practice. Thanks |

TOEFL is accepted as well as PTE, OET and IELTS.
You will have to go to the website of the assessing authority for quantity surveying to find out their requirements for a positive assessment. Thank u sir |

I took my first prep test and it's not encouraging at all, it's as if I have been wasting my time, after all this months of reading and depriving myself of sleep. This is really frustrating. |

bellong: This is a tight one. I am not completely sure but I reckon that the date of completion on the certificate will be taken as completed.
Maybe someone who has been in similar situation can clarify.
However, if there is none to clarify, I think it is safe to go with the date on the certificate. If question is asked about the disparity, you can then explain.
You can still add those years of experience from when you finish though. Let the assessing authority figure out what to leave for you. Sir bellong, I was able to read through the link u posted in page 0, instead of being a GMPC as someone said in page 7. But I'm worried because I don't have any documents showing"suitable skill assessment. I have a b.tech quantity, Age 28 Graduated 2016 I only have one year working experience which is nysc, and work experience has nothing to do with my degree. I checked my skill if available using this link https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2018L00299and it was listed there. Lastly I noticed that the test taken is IELTs , is TOEFL not used. I appreciate it if u answer me because the last thread has 600 pages and I was still in year 2016 alot of things might have changed before now. Thanks |

Hi all, I have been following this thread for almost 3 months now. Mehn this thread is loaded with information's.i m currently at page 183, I will try and finish up. I have been studying for GRE for almost a month now though I'm a serving Corp member, round up this Thursday. I have not really studied the way I want because my target is 325 due to my very low GPA - 2.70,I also attend tutorials for the GRE because I want to give my all in this . I am planning to apply for fall 2019 and writing GRE by September, infact I'm planning registering the GRE by next week so I will be very serious with my studies. Pls I need magoosh videos, the links posted here are either expired or have corrupt videos.i am based in Abuja fr anyone who wants to share the video. I know I don't have much time but do I have any chance of getting that score with intense two month of study? And what are my chances with my low GPA. Pls how do you guys study?. Sometimes I feel as if I'm not doing enough to achieve that score. Mr riddy , time2smile, ponpon, icool, scholastica et al please I need your input on this. |

Chidinho10: Yes you can get recommendation from your boss, but be sure to get at least one academic recommendation. Your project supervisor can recommend you as well. Thank you very much sir |

Chidinho10: Are you applying to a business school?
If yes, then read on If no, you may want to verify more before taking the advice
For business school admissions, anybody you've worked with in any capacity can give you a letter of recommendation. So that makes your boss qualified to give you recommendation.
Make sure the person knows you well and can speak extensively about you. That's what matters. The rank (CEO, Professor, PhD, HOD, Vice Chancellor) doesn't matter. What matters is the content.
Shalom No I'm not applying for business school; but does it still counts if he recommends me? I just don't want to travel the long journey and beg this doctors and professor whom I have not seen nor call in years to recommend me. They will just bounce me. Anyway thanks for the reply. Plz I need you guys to shed more light on this. Thanks |

Hi all; I'm currently a serving core member; and I want to apply for spring; can my boss in the office give me the recommendation letter; as in; is it acceptable ? Considering the fact that it is a professor or doctor in my school should sign?
Secondly how important is the recommendation letter; cause going back to school to get this is really bothering me cause I have not spoken to them since I left school. Thanks |
