Thanks again, I shall wait for the paper work. I choosed that location specifically for peace of mind. I was once swindled buying from Ikorodu lands, I was severly burnt. Now Ogun is the future. Free air and good road linkage to Lagos. Thanks again.

Whoever needs to contact me can do so via vibrantjd@gmail.com, I beg you in God's name don't ask me questions that has been answered on this forum, Melbourne is certainly fine, things expensive as usual, people getting busy everyday, studies going on well as well. I met with this dude fikkzy at my RCCG church in Narre Warren on Sunday, nice guy by the way, we all hanged out at a friends party here and it was awesome, regards to everyone aspiring on coming to OZ, its definitely a blessed county, God bless y'all.

I am not being insultive and I never mentioned anyone's name, I didn't even insult, I said pple be running them mouth. Na who nor come nor go know, I am in Melbourne and I see how it's done, before you come in people be like it's so easy when ur in here but Jenny it's not. If you don't have family here to help or support you it's a huge hiccup.

Pple get here with high hopes and all,I register for Disability and all, 5 months after i've yet to start working cus of sch hour and tight schedule, I am just gonna start placements now. What if I didnt come prepared, what if my sponsor isnt there to support me financially, remember those who'll just come with the hope of the jobs when it's hard to get except for the experieced ones.. It's better telling them what to except than they thinking it's all pot of gold, just my opinion not asking anyone to agree to it.

$800 for a month kilode na, wehn nor be St Kilda, $800 go rent 1 or 2 bedroom for here if u search wella, Nor pay pass $100-$150 as u jst be new comer. Unless it's $400 a month and another $400 for the bond. Otherwise it's too much sir.

To everyone who got their visa approved congratulations to you all, and to those who are waiting we'll hear good news ijn, to prospective applicants the process isn't a mediocre issue, you must pay school fees and must stay in school when you get here else you'll have problems with the Immigration and they will revoke your visa, Aussie ya were gan o, just my few cents
Travel / Re: Where Are Nigerians In Australia . by iamcapela: 2:28am On Jun 12, 2013
@Fikzzy, Caulfield na like 25 mins drive from Dandenong, a few stops on the train tho, not far from Flinders and it's easy to go through Chapel street and the city, the homestay is a good idea, but for me personally, I share a room with a Mauritian dude who's also here, the bottom line is Aussie is good and with patience and perseverance we'll all make it.

Aunty Jenny has always pointed this out and I am here now and I can testify to it.

I met with the dude Aceblackpearl yesterday and Dandenong plaza, we had a bit of fun time together socialising and picking on some pretty African girls, it was fun for him and I hope we'll catch up more often.

@Americanvisa, Alot of people have answered your questions on here and I don't see reasons adding to it as it's a complete process, If you ask me questions and I fail to reply try and understand that Aussie is a different terrain not 9ja where everyone will be online all day, I could be online fighting hard with completing my school assessments, these things don't come easy as I wasn't used to the referencing style whilst I was in 9ja. it's quite tasking studying here if you're not prepared my folks.

@Fedimako, all of una be my guys on these thread, I asked less questions when I wasn't sure abt my app to DIAC in Southie, some people responded, some didn't I didn't fight anyone here, the sharks knows themselves, not the prospective/intending students that are real, some pple are just dumb and they keep asking questions when they don't even have the funding of coming here, whoever wanna come here must prepare, Aussie is expensive to live in, school in and you must really be prepared. It's not London where you have loads of 9ja who'll accept you in their houses, whoever is coming must be ready to pay bills, shikena, na there my story end today, I'm off to my sociology class, see y'all later. smiley

@WahabCaol,

I'm studying Diploma of Community service work, I paid $5200 for first semester, then some other charges like medical care and registrations fee abt $6500.00, once you pay all that you'll be given a COE, but meanwhile I'd inform you of your choice on IT, alot of Asian have taken over the IT world here and it's pretty much hard for we blacks to get a job except for the basis of luck, I have a friend who's been here for 4yrs and he's done a Diploma of IT, then advance Diploma and then he got a B.Sc via a Uni here, but that still didnt give him a pathway to PR.

My advise is to choice wisely on the course that will benefit you, CSW or Community development isn't bad at all thru PR way, if you can try then all good for you, meanwhile it's still a great hurdle to scale thru, you've gotta score 7.0 overall in ur IELTS or even more to gain point. I am not misleading you, but I am saying Australia can be very rough at the beginning if you don't prepare well, I prepared well and I am still complaining, Don't ever come here with the thoughts of coming here and not going to classes, the laws here are crazy, those who are enjoying are those with PR and Aussie citizenship, yet it's still survival of the fittest, Aussie nor send if you go school or not, they're more interested in your personal delivery as an individual. my own few cents, in all studying abroad has been great, disability and aged care jobs are what my friends here do to survive, if you know you're strong to wipe asses then all good, you're welcome.

Feel free to ask me questions.

I go to Chisholm in Dandenong. The Tafe is quite good, you can apply and they're flexible with international students with paying sch fees as soon as you get here.

To those who are writing IELTS, or they have written it and those we have lodged their applications or waiting till June or November, I wish you all success, Nor be small journey, All will be worth it at the end.

It's exactly 2weeks today that I got hia, and it's going on well, if u come here and u av a good family, I bet you, your good to go, But if u come hia alone be prepared to go thru lotta challenges, but I bet its worth more than living here than 9ja, things are expensvie, bring lots of cash so u can settle well, its never easy abroad, don't come hia wit a mindset of working immediately, its gonna get better with time, My 9ja friends and families has been a lot supportive, at a time I felt like going baq home, but hey they the adage goes, The patient dog eats the fatest bone, patient pays, if u can open ur eyes you'll definiteyl do well, I just bought my car this week so as to move arnd and all. Aussie is sweet, but be prepare the challenges, That's my 5 cents, God bless us all.

I am live in Melbourne, Australia, it feels good to be here, as for me, I don reach my last bus stop, Gosh, this country is blessed and it's beautiful here, I got here today at about 12am Melbourne time, Everyone is nice here, even the customs and quarantine officers are friendly too, The quarantine office even joked with me and 2 other guys that we came thru Qatar airways, He was even the one who told us 9ja qualified for the nations cup final.

I've been here barely 5 hours, but I know this city has alot to offer me and others, Thanks everyone for all your inputs, encourage and all.

God bless you all, I am so jetlagged and tired, flew over 20hours, but in all it's worth now, I am here now..LOL.

I;ll post my full experience when I am fully settled.

@jennykadry,

Good evening ma, I have been following the Australian student visa thread for a while now and I've learnt alot from this thread, I am here to ask a few questions, First off all I have done my Ielts exams with a overall score of 6.0 I've paid my school fees a (TAFE),I've received the COE, Most of my documents are ready, now to the issue of bank statements, my supposed uncle is the one who's sponsoring me, All I have as regards the financial document is just the sponsorship letter he wrote as well as the bank statements and reference from the bank, my question does he needs to provide additional info as to as the funds was accumulated, if he has too, I would have issues as he's just a general/agro allied merchant, he doesn't have a tax clearance or other company documents to give me to support this application, now the question two is as regards the academic documents am to submit along with it, I'm I supposed to send the original copies of my secondary school transcripts, W.A.E.C result as well as my IELTS results to the DIAC in South Africa or just the photocopies which can be notarized by a lawyer? Personal I feel I should send them all of my original supporting documents since they're definitely going to return them back to me. I'll appreciate your prompt reply as to helping me submit my application via VFS in due time.

@beau4lyf,

Hello, I am writing to confirm from you the exact amount of money I'll need to carry out my medical check up at the listed hospitals that you provided, Also when you applied to the DIAC in South Africa, Did you sent your original birth certificate/original academic/Ielts results or just the notarized copies? Becaus I am contemplating on sending my original documents, since it would be returned back to me and I don't have the use for it at the moment.

@ Other thread members I'll like if you could help me with your advise on how to go about submitting the right documents ASAP.

God bless you all abundantly (Amen).. Cheers smiley
