Christianity Etc › Is It A Sin For Men To Put On Caps In Church? by iamdsam(op): 9:05pm On Aug 31, 2013
In most churches and even the one I attend (Anglican), men do not put caps or hats in church and I've also noticed this in many other churches. I don't know if it's a sin to do so and I haven't found any part of the bible to justify it. I've been wondering bout this for a long time now. Is it a sin for men to wear cap or hat to church? Please share your thoughts about it and try to give reasons
Music/Radio › Re: Davido 'Skelewu' Vs Wizkid Jaiye Jaiye - Which Do You Prefer? by iamdsam: 8:51pm On Aug 31, 2013
When it comes to the audios, I would simply pick Wizkid. Wizkid is the best freestylist we got in Nigeria right now. The boy is damn good. As for Davido, I would leave the music videos for him. This guy has been dropping quality music videos for the part twelve months now and he's not stopping. As for the comparison between the jaiye jaiye track by Wizkid and Skelewu by Davido, I got nothing to say because I haven't heard the song. I don't use a blackberry phone so I don't download mp3s frequently. #team_db

Celebrities › An Open Letter To Yung6ix From D-Sam Igho by iamdsam(op):
Today's a calm day in Warri Delta State due to the environmental sanitation that was just concluded few hours ago and it's also a party day where most people are either attending marriages or other ceremonies of other sorts. I used the opportunity do a little laundry and headed straight to work immediately after I had my bath. Reaching my workplace like it always looks like after an environmental sanitation, everywhere is scanty and you can easily here any little sound from afar. Haven't been able to update my blog (www.dsamigho..com) for several weeks now, I took to Laila Ikeji's blog to get some latest entertainment gists. After clicking into her site, the first news that caught my attention was the tweet by Young6ix claiming to be the best rapper in Nigeria on his twitter page or handler per say. I don't know the reasons he gave the tweet and I don't know if he was on his right mind before making the tweet. The Nigerian music industry right now has passed the stage of words. Just typing shits and posting it online won't make you a good artist. Artists like Wizkid and Olamide can attest to that. Maybe you were probably under the influence of alcohol before posting the tweet. I came to know you when you released your freertlyle on Oleku by Ice Prince which went viral in Warri and other places in Delta State. After that, you went ahead to release a song featuring Wizkid which also went viral here in Warri. You've since then done a couple of songs like Oh My Gosh which I like so much and also been featured by other artists on several songs. Back to your tweet which is the reason am typing this. I gonna say you still got a lot of work to do if your name is going to be well mentioned in the Nigerian music industry like Olamide, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido. I remembered you started this music thing same time with Wizkid but right now you aren't close to his shoes. I know that both of you aren't doing the same genre of music but if you're good at the genre you choosed or love, you'll defintely go somewhere. I'm not criticizing you to pull you down but to wake you up. It seems you've been sleeping since you released that track with Wizkid. Check out a rapper like Olamide and see how consistent he has been since he entered the music game. He isn't proud like you but has achieved alot more than you in the rap game. You got the type of voice that's trending right now in the rap/hiphop game but you've not used it well enough. The big boys that's topping the rap game in Nigeria won't haven't even dared to say such but you did without proving it. Can you freestyle against the likes of M.I., Jesse Jagz, Illbliss... etc and win. Can you even contest with Olamide in the rap gamehuh Yung6ix.. You aren't even better than me (D-Sam Igho). You can't beat me in a freestyle challenge. If you think am joking, then invite me (dsamigho@gmail.com) to any studio or you can reach me here in Warri, Delta State. I'm a Warri boy from Delta State (D-Sam Igho) whose your fan but belives you haven't done enough (maybe nothing) to merit any title like that. Please do your homework before raising your shoulders. >>>From D-Sam Igho (tweet @dsamigho) (www.dsamigho..com)

*Lol* Laugh wan kill me o. But truth be told, most Nigerian men didn't marry their wives because of love but most did so because of bearing children, just to get married for marriage sake, parents marry for them, just replace the demise of a previous wife which he probably did not show much love etc. Most Nigerian men are not romantic. They don't know how to show their wives love. I would certainly be an exception. I would be the best husband to that special woman in future. God bless that future woman

Good writeup containing many facts. The only part I wanna correct here is imitation of faith of other anointed. We only show our weaknesses when we imitate faith. Faith isn't imitated but comes by hearing and reading of the word and also acting on it. Most men of whatever like hiding under the statement "touch not my anointed" to prevent themselves from the consequences of their wrong doings. May God help us

kcreal: This question get k-leg ooo, Where are the men?
Like I posted earlier, there are only two safety jackets in the boat. The captain died and the three (husband, wife and mother of the husband) survived. The husband is in custody of the two jackets. Already wearing one to guarantee his safety, he's left with one to save either his wife or mother. Who should the husband save and why?

Romance › Who Would You Save? Mother Or Wife? by iamdsam(op): 1:22pm On Aug 30, 2013
Like the popular saying goes, a man and woman becomes one after their marriage. This has got me thinking if couples can prove to be one in very precarious situations. It has led me to this little imagination and this one's for the husbands, husbands to be and even wives and wives to be. Imagine you (husband) and wife accompanied by your mother sailed a speed boat (or probably a local fairy) to get to a place for a ceremony and the boat capsized (or maybe the engine failed or the boat hit something in the river). The captain (for a small boat though) died on that point of the accident. You (husband), wife and mother survived the accident. With only two safety jackets on the boat and you (husband) has already grabbed and wore one, and also being in custody of the other safety jacket. Your mother or wife, one of them must put on the safety jacket to survive before the boat finally sinks into the river. Being able to help either your (husband) mother or wife, who would you save by giving this safety jacket? Is it your (husband) mother or wife? (Note: None of them sabi swim or none of them knows how to swim). Please drop your comments @Nairalanders

Webmasters › Facebook To Compensate Users For Sharing Details by iamdsam(op): 11:38am On Aug 28, 2013
Approximately 614,000 Facebook users whose personal details appeared in ads on the site without their permission will each receive a$15 (5) payout, theBritish Broadcasting Corporationreported on Tuesday.
The names and pictures of an estimated 150 million Facebookmembers were used in Sponsored Stories, but only those who responded to an email from the site earlier this year will be compensated.
Privacy organisations will also receive some of the $20m (9m) settlement. Facebook hasnot responded to the BBC's request for comment.
The payout was approved by a US court on Monday following aclass action filed against Facebook in 2011 by five of its users.
The group said their details had been used to promote products and services through the site's Sponsored Stories programme, without paying them or giving them the choiceto opt-out.
A Sponsored Story is a tailored advertisement that appears on members' Facebook pages, highlighting products a user's friends have endorsed or"liked" on the site.
US District Judge Richard Seeborg acknowledged that the $15 payments were relatively small, but said it had not been established that Facebook had "undisputedly violated the law."
He added that the claimants could not prove they were"harmed in any meaningful way".
The court estimated that Facebook had made about$73m () in profit from the Sponsored Stories featuring details of the 150 million members.
The settlement also requires Facebook to make changes to its "Statement of Rights" and togive users more information and control over how their details are used in the future.
This move was estimated by the plaintiff's lawyers to cost Facebook $145m in advertisingrevenue.Approximately 7,000 Facebook users opted out of the settlement altogether, allowing them to bring their own legal action against the social network.

Politics › Nigeria Gets $3m Security Assistance From US - CG by iamdsam(op): 11:19am On Aug 28, 2013
Will this end the security problem and lapses we've been going through? Only time will tell. The United States Consular General, Mr. Jeffery Hawkins, onTuesday, disclosed that Nigeria gets $3m (N480m) annually in the form of security assistance from the US.
Hawkins made this statement during the donation of technical equipment for the establishment of a Centre for Intelligence Sharing, to the National Drug Law EnforcementAgency in Lagos.
He said, "Assistance to the various security agencies in Nigeria runs in the area of $3m annually. We are talking in terms of training and other logistics. There are a number ofUS agencies that work hand in hand with the NDLEA - the Homeland security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of State.
"The NDLEA, so far has been an outstanding partner in Africa. Itis a leader in combating drug trafficking. This is why the US consulate is proud to make thismodest contribution to improve intelligence sharing capacity of the NDLEA."
The Chairman of the NDLEA, Mr. Ahamdu Giade, commended the US for the gesture. He said,"Nigeria's partnership with the US has been fruitful. I still recall how the US donated scanning equipment to the agency in 2008 and this has greatly enhanced our investigative capacity.
"The equipment donated today is concerned with data issues which we had been collating manually. This war against trafficking is a shared responsibility and the US has been sharing information with the NDLEA and also assisting uswith their experts."
Adding that Nigeria was winning the fight against trafficking through the sustained support of the US, Giade said, "Our collaboration in the area of intelligence gathering and joint operations has undisputedly led to high profile seizures and arrests. Appropriate training remains vital to the success of any intelligence driven task like drug control."

Nobody comes to my house to visit anyhow and if you must see me,you must call to say you're coming. You can be at my gate and knock all day and I won't answer you if I'm not expecting you. When you're tired, you'd go to your house. I hardly visit people and I love having my space. Moreover,I love being indoors and it hardly bores me. So long as I have internet access 24/7,I'm ok.
